You can farm without enemies and very fast 2 ~ 3 melted mushrooms at Below the Well Grace, behind lift's base.

Don't know if anyone still wants melted mushrooms to make soap bars to feel clean again. I found an interesting melted mushroom loop that requires the Pureblood Knight's Medal from Varre's questline. When you use it, go straight East to a bush and tree area to find 2 mushrooms then head south for the final third one. Keep using the Medal from whatever hotbar you like to reload the area. Happy gathering and stay squeaky clean, tarnished!

My 7 mushroom farming cycle at the Siofra River Bank. Requires using Torrent and runs clockwise starting at the site of grace.

          1. Mount Torrent and head east to the base of the hill. Grab the mushroom at the first small tree on the right.
          2. Continue southwest up the hill and grab the mushroom hiding behind the small cluster of trees along the cliff to the right (in front of the three ancestral followers).
          3. Grab the mushroom at the next cluster of trees on the left.
          4. Just ahead on the right, along the base of the bridge pier, grab that one before heading to the edge of the cliff.
          5. Do a sprinting double jump off the cliff to land on the platform below (taking no damage if the double jump is timed right). Grab the mushroom along the wall to the left.
          6. Head northeast, past the grace, to the bridge pile and grab that mushroom.
          7. Finally, go right and grab the mushroom on the cliff edge immediately in front of the grace.

The cycle takes around 40 seconds and is kind of a fun little slalom. Happy hunting, Tarnished!

I was pretty mad at how rare these are/the fact that you can't find them on Mt Gelmir until I read the description and realised they're not literally just mushrooms that have melted a little. "What do you mean I can't just stick a smouldering butterfly into this mushroom and melt it?"

i found a really quick way to get mushrooms fast here, from the grace run or horse up the small rock ledge to find two muchsrooms close by, i've ben grinding for my mr. clean cosplay and need alot of soap, so running up that ledge you can find 2 locations, one on the ridge and another directly adjacent near 4 trees, its quick and efficient for both oil pots and soap, happy grinding people!

To expand on the current note, I count 7 total mushrooms from the Siofra River Bank grace:
                1. Jump on the ledge immediately north of grace
                2. Keep going and towards the left corner of the stone pillar next to some saplings
                3. Keep going north up the hill and you'll see one coming up to the cliff wall
                4. Then travel along the northern cliff wall and you'll see another as you go toward to top of the hill where the fire shrine is
                5. Now loop back around along the SW cliff wall and you'll see another hiding in a bush next to some trees
                6. Make your way SE towards the Spirit Warrior thats foraging and there will be one against the stone pillar
                7. Loop around the stone pillar and grab the one next to the giant crab and go back to the site of grace
                repeat

Theres a great place to farm these. At the Siofra River Bank site of grace, past the crab by the giant crab and into the area with the spirits, there will be a good handful of melted mushrooms that respawn every time you rest at the site of grace. Some mushroom pick ups can have multiple, up to 3x, so the amount you get per run is variable, but its consistent and quick way to get a good amount of them for all your oil pot needs. This, along with the volcano pot easy farm, can make fire based pot builds pretty good. I wish everything was this easy to farm, or at least could be bought.

                  • did some testing, best place to farm seems to be the Siofra river bank grace, just north of the grace just jump up the ledge, 1 is there,
                    reset at grace, repeat.
