I’m only doing 14 more damage with these bolts on the Full Moon Crossbow than I am with the magic bone bolts. Pretty disappointing since you have to pay for these and they are unique and specifically crafted for the Full Moon Crossbow.

Findable around Raya Lucaria academy, but can be purchased directly from a merchant near the Main Gate grace. If you go down the path towards the left of entering the school where a floating blue glyph is, you'll meet this merchant. He also sells a cookbook and the blue mercenary set. Wolves are strewn throughout the path, and at the bottom there is an enemy with the bloodhound step.

Found a few around the Academy, but never found the Full Moon Crossbow
You've got to put in some work to do damage with bows & crossbows. You do it because they outrange any spells, if you use fletched bolts/arrows and Arrow's Reach. Yes, even that spell, by a lot. So they are like an Italian sportscar - takes work to get the performance. This + fmc is best with a faith-int build so you have have terra magica, howl of shabriri and golden vow, along with jellyfish shield. Doing all that won't be for everyone, but it does do some damage. It will hit at longer range than a spell or ash, and it can hit quickly when you don't want to be stuck in an animation.
