Millicent is an NPC in Elden Ring. She is a young woman stricken with an incurable case of Scarlet Rot. Gowry will send players to look for her in an attempt to cure her of Scarlet Rot. Progress through her questline in order to unlock her as an NPC Summon Cooperator during specific boss battles.
Millicent can also be encountered as an NPC Invader. She will invade the player in the Swamp of Aeonia at all times of the day. She has light armor and appears to use a Shamshir, but with the Waterfowl Dance skill, the same as Malenia.
If I am to flower into something other than myself, I would rather rot into nothingness as I am.
Millicent Location in Elden Ring
- Millicent can be found initially at Church of the Plague, northeast of Gowry's Shack.
- After you give her the Unalloyed Gold Needle, she will move to Gowry's Shack. [Map link]
- From there, she will head to the southern Altus Plateau. [Map link]
- After defeating the Godskin Apostle and giving Millicent Valkyrie's Prosthesis, she will be at the Site of Grace in the northern part of Windmill Village. [Map link]
- Millicent can be fought as an NPC. If defeated, she drops 6,000 Runes and Millicent's Prosthesis (after she moves to Windmill Village)
- As an NPC Invader, Millicent appears southeast of the Swamp of Aeonia, near the geysers and the Commander O'Neil boss fight [Map link]. Millicent is immune to Scarlet Rot but vulnerable to Poison.
- If defeated as an invader, she drops x5 Sacramental Bud, Golden Rune [3], Golden Rune [5], Golden Rune [10], and 316 Runes.
Millicent can be summoned for the following bosses:
- Magma Wyrm Makar: After giving Millicent the Unalloyed Gold Needle and exhausting all her dialogue at Gowry's Shack.
- Godskin Apostle: After giving her the Valkyrie's Prosthesis.
- Draconic Tree Sentinel (Capital Outskirts): After giving her the Valkyrie's Prosthesis and defeating the Godskin Apostle in Windmill Village.
- Black Blade Kindred (Forbidden Lands): After advancing her questline to defeat the Godskin Apostle in Windmill Village. Her summon sign will be available north of the Statue of Marika, along the road to the boss.
Millicent Questline: How to complete Millicent's Quest
Millicent has a questline related to Gowry, but also appears as an NPC Invader at the Aeonia Swamp. The quest can be completed after reaching the Haligtree Roots site of grace, and can still be completed after defeating Malenia. The quest can be done quickly if the player defeats the bosses or otherwise obtains the quest items before exhausting dialogue.
- Speak with Gowry in his shack and he will ask for a favor. He wants help to heal a young girl, Millicent, found beyond Sellia, who has been infected with Scarlet Rot. To do this, he will ask you to seek an Unalloyed Gold Needle, which is dropped by Commander O'Neil, located in the Swamp of Aeonia. In return, he will share the secrets of the town of Sellia.
- Speaking to Gowry and accepting his quest will unlock Polyanna, Adopted Daughter's summon sign, north of O'Neil's battle arena.
- Give the Unalloyed Gold Needle to Gowry. He'll need some time to repair the needle and will give you Sellia's Secret.
- Warp to a nearby site of grace or quit the game to reload, and he'll give you the repaired needle.
- Bring the needle to Millicent at the Church of the Plague. You may need to complete the puzzle in Sellia, Town of Sorcery to open the path uphill. Or, coming from Dragonbarrow, jump down a Spirit Spring to the north of the Church.
- After Millicent uses the needle, rest at the nearby site of grace, then exhaust her dialogue. She will gift you the Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom. Upon reloading the area, she will have moved to Gowry's shack.
- Return to Gowry's shack to find him gone, but Millicent there. Exhaust her dialogue. Reload the area, and Millicent will move, and Gowry will return. You can now purchase spells from him.
- Millicent can be summoned to fight Magma Wyrm Makar in the Ruin-Strewn Precipice after this point. This summon sign will disappear if she is given the Valkyrie's Prosthesis.
- Millicent will now be located just north-northeast of the Erdtree-Gazing Hill site of grace in Altus Plateau, standing near the edge of the cliff. [Map Link]
- The player will need to go north to The Shaded Castle and retrieve the Valkyrie's Prosthesis, which is found in a chest in a room guarded by a single Cleanrot Knight, on the northwestern edge of the castle. Return to her, and give her the Valkyrie's Prosthesis item to advance her quest.
- Go to Dominula, Windmill Village, and a golden summon sign for Millicent will appear before the Godskin Apostle boss..
- After defeating the Apostle, rest at the Windmill Heights site of grace, and she will appear next to it. Exhaust her dialogue to continue the quest. [Map Link]
- Millicent can be summoned to fight the Black Blade Kindred boss in Forbidden Lands, even before defeating the Godskin Apostle.
- Millicent will move to the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins site of grace in Mountaintops of the Giants. Exhaust her dialogue to continue. [Map link]
- If Millicent does not appear at the site of grace, try returning to the Windmill Heights again and see if she's there, and if so, exhaust her dialogue there.
- Millicent will move to the Prayer Room site of grace [Map Link] in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. She will not move from this spot until the player has defeated the nearby Putrid Tree Spirit enemy. To reach this enemy, go to the Drainage Channel site of grace, go west through the doorway, climb up the ladder at the end of the corridor, and go out the doorway on your right at the top. The tree spirit is at the landmass across the gap to the left. To reach it, go up the slope on the right and walk across the tree branch, heading southwest across the gap. [Map link]
- Once the player has defeated the mini-boss, there will be two summon signs near where the mini-boss used to be. Specifically, on the northwest hill around the lake. The player can either:
- Be summoned into her world and help fight four NPC Invaders called Millicent's Sisters, granting you the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia upon completion.
- Mary, Eldest Sister (wields a Halo Scythe).
- Maureen, Second Sister (wields a Treespear).
- Amy, Third Sister (wields two Flowing Curved Swords).
- Polyanna, Youngest Sister (wields a Blade of Calling).
- Be summoned as an invader in order to challenge her, granting you Millicent's Prosthesis upon completion, but not the Unalloyed Gold Needle.
- Be summoned into her world and help fight four NPC Invaders called Millicent's Sisters, granting you the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia upon completion.
- If the player chose to help Millicent, they can find her near where her summoning sign was, sitting by the rotten pool. Exhaust all of her dialogue, then reload the area. The Unalloyed Gold Needle is on the ground.
- The Unalloyed Gold Needle can be used at the flower in Malenia's arena in order to receive Miquella’s Needle, as well as a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone. (Requires location reset after the fight)
- If you return to Gowry, he will talk about Malenia and Millicent's connection. You will no longer be able to purchase from the Sage.
- If you kill Gowry at this point, you will receive the Flock's Canvas Talisman and Gowry's Bell Bearing. If he is already dead, both items will still be obtainable from his corpse, found in Gowry's Shack.
Millicent's Dialogue
Ah...Ahh
Nggh... Who's there?
Well, it matters not.
If you are wise,
you will leave,
immediately.
My flesh writhes with scarlet rot.
It is a curse.
Not to be meddled with by man.
You ask that I stab myself with the needle...
To quell the scarlet rot?
But...how?
... Never mind.
I've decided.
I would rather trust you,
than simply continue to spoil from within.
Would you mind...
averting your eyes for a moment?
Well.
That was easier than expected.
But...
why do I feel so...
I...hoped to see you again.
My apologies for when last we met.
I fainted before I could even thank you.
Everything is as you said.
Since inserting the needle,
the scarlet rot has ceased to writhe.
Even the nightmares have abated...
And now,
though I can scarcely believe it myself,
I can move as I please.
It is all thanks to you.
Not that I could every truly repay you,
but I would like you to have this,
by way of thanks.
A token, though it is.
[Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom]
I'm considering leaving.
On a journey.
With the needle buried in my flesh,
I've started to recall,
but dimly...
My destiny...
My name is Millicent.
I pray fate permits us meet again.
Attacking her after giving her the Unalloyed Gold Needle
- (Warning) Ugh. Is there something wrong? Please, cease this at once.
- (Combat) Why are you doing this? Now you've forced my hand.
- (On player kill) I will not forget what you did for me. But this day marks our farewell.
Oh, hello again.
Something about this place felt familiar to me.
So I decided to pay a visit,
hoping to find someone here.
But I've only found emptiness.
Perhaps before my departure,
I needed someone to say farewell to.
I must focus on my journey,
for which I have you to thank.
I must stay strong.
I must focus on my journey,
for which I have you to thank.
Ah. We meet again.
In truth, it's been smooth sailing,
for me.
The scarlet rot has stilled,
since last we met.
As such, I've been able to continue my journey.
I realise that if I still had my sword arm,
I could have aided you in battle.
Now, I'm tracing the path Malenia took,
after unleashing the power of the scarlet rot,
during her battle with General Radahn,
in the Caelid Wilds.
I should like to meet her,
this vanished woman.
I think she's in the north.
In the lands that lie beyond the Erdtree.
~
(「 戦乙女の義手 」を渡す )
Are you giving me this arm?
I thank you.
I am in your debt, yet again.
I think, if the arm serves well enough,
it might be possible for me to wield a sword again.
If the arm serves well enough,
it might be possible for me to wield a sword again.
Perhaps, then.
I can aid you in battle.
~
After summoning her to aid you in battle with
the Godskin Apostle
~
Windmill Heights, Grace
~
( 風車村ドミヌラ )
Ah, we meet yet again.
The arm you gave me truly is a thing of wonder.
It feels just like my own,
even handling a sword.
Perhaps it is foolish to say this to you of all people,
but I am sure of my skill with the sword.
Thus, I would have you call upon me in battle,
should you ever have the need.
It is the only way that I can express my thanks.
~
Ancient Snow Valley Ruins, Grace
~
( 古遺跡の雪谷 )
To think we'd meet in such a place...
What could your purpose possibly...
No, I know well enough who you are,
and what I know is good enough for me.
Call upon me again in battle,
should you have the need.
I'm searching for a fort to the north of the ruins.
I heard the master of the fort was given a medallion
that allowed him to visit the Haligtree.
Indeed, I believe that is where Malenia will be found.
The Haligtree is hidden somewhere in these Northern lands.
Again we meet.
I can only surmise our purposes are aligned.
In which case, allow me to explain myself.
I am of Malenia's blood.
But in what capacity I know not.
I could be sister,
daughter,
or an offshoot...
Whatever the case though,
I am certain of a kinship between us.
There is something I must return to Malenia.
The will that was once her own.
The dignity,
the sense of self,
that allowed her to resist the call of the scarlet rot.
The pride she abandoned,
to meet Radahn's measure.
laying by the pool near where her summoning sign was.
~
( お姉妹の4人と戦い後 )
Thank you for lending your hand.
Without your help,
I could not have defeated that quartet.
I feel as if I've been in your debt from beginning to end.
Thank you.
With your help,
I was able to live as my own person,
if only in passing.
But this is where things end.
I pause to even tell you, but...
I took out the needle myself.
Tell whoever put you up to this.
That if I am to flower into something other than myself,
I would rather rot into nothingness as I am.
Please, let me pass alone.
The scarlet rot writhes now,
worse than ever.
Soon, I won't be more than a mound of flesh.
Curse-laden.
Untouchable.
I wouldn't want such a thing to bring you harm.
Killing Millicent at the end of her questline in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree before reloading the area
- I did not expect it to end like this. But I will not forget what you have done.
After choosing to challenge Millicent
- Ahh, how could you... Is this your true heart? Was I... was it all...for this?
Millicent Notes & Trivia
- In combat, Millicent wields a unique version of the Shamshir that has the Waterfowl Dance skill (which is normally only found on the Hand of Malenia), and the R2 attack of the Flowing Curved Sword. Before she receives the prosthesis, she uses it in her left hand, never two-handing it or doing anything else that would involve her right arm, and she won't use its skill either.
- When fighting her as an invader in the swamp, it is recommended to use Flame, Cleanse Me or Preserving Boluses to cleanse the Scarlet Rot.
- The name "Millicent" comes from the old Germanic name Amalasuintha, composed of the words "Amal" which means "work" or "labor" and "Swinth", which means "strong". Alternatively, the French variation, Mélisande, means "brave strength". This fits directly back into Millicent's character, who despite being heavily afflicted with the Scarlet Rot and lacking an arm, is able to travel from Caelid all the way to the Haligtree almost on her own, requiring only some assistance from the player.
- The items dropped by Invader Millicent in the Swamp of Aeonia may be a reference to other aspects of her lore: The 5 sacramental buds represent Millicent and her 4 sisters, while the rune items she drops are the same as the percentage damage increase of the base Winged Sword Insignia; 3, 5, and 10.

Shamshir
Curved sword with a thin blade of ample length. Light of weight despite its larger size, its slicing attacks come in rapid succession.
A devastatingly powerful weapon in the hands of a skilled swordsman.
Unalloyed Gold Needle
An intricately crafted needle of unalloyed gold. Once snapped in half, it has been repaired by Sage Gowry.
A ritual implement crafted to ward away the meddling of outer gods, it is thought capable of forestalling the incurable rotting sickness.
"Now, all you need to do is deliver the needle to Millicent, convalescing in the church atop the cliff just beyond Sellia."
Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom
A talisman engraved with a scene from a heroic tale. Raises dexterity.
Though born into the accursed rot, when the young girl encountered her mentor and his flowing blade, she gained wings of unparalleled strength.
Valkyrie's Prosthesis
Golden prosthesis once used by the one-armed valkyrie. A masterwork of craftsmanship, with practice and skill it can be used as proficiently as a real arm.
When Maleigh Marais, Lord of the Shaded Castle, embraced this prosthesis, he claimed to feel the presence of his personal goddess.
Rotten Winged Sword Insignia
A talisman depicting a raised prosthetic blade. An honor bestowed upon the valkyries who serve the goddess of rot.
Greatly raises attack power with successive attacks.
The Four sisters were born in the swamp of Aeonia, and came to the Haligtree under the aegis of Gowry. And yet, those buds were doomed to never blossom.
Millicent's Prosthesis
Part of the golden prosthesis used by Millicent. The hand is locked into a fist that once raised a sword aloft.
Boosts dexterity and raises attack power with successive attacks.
The despair of sweet betrayal transformed Millicent from a mere bud into a magnificent flower. And one day, she will be reborn - as a beautiful scarlet valkyrie.
Dialogue Related to Millicent
Gowry
"Well, I'm the one that found her. A mere babe, in the swamp of Aeonia. She is one of my dear daughters."
"The needle is repaired. Now it will forestall the rotting sickness, I'm sure."
"If you happen to be present for the girl's fight with her sisters, I ask that you side with the sisters and kill Millicent. It must be done by your hand; no other. Millicent trusts you, rather deeply in fact. Sever that trust. Nurtured by betrayal, her bud will flower most vividly. When Malenia ascends to godhood, Millicent too shall be reborn. As a scarlet valkyrie."

AnonymousI can't believe I'm the only one to had seen this: But I made the prayer sign right in front of her corpse as soon as she died and when I got up to leave she had a golden glow about her. It lasted a moment and vanished. I could not repeat the same effect in this playthrough. Can anyone confirm to had seen it? (Forgive my poor english)

AnonymousThat encounter in southern Altus Plateau is so easy to miss wtf, I thought this quest was from Caelid straight to Haligtree, but man I was wrong as hell.

Anonymousmost guys who play this game like alexander and blaidd just as much (well, almost) as millicent, saying that we only like her because she is an attractive woman is delusional. although she is attractive, which always helps

I was trying to help Millicent with the sisters, and was having trouble. I would kill one kr two, and then either Millicent or I would die. Then on like the 6th or 7th try, she just starts spamming her AoW and kills all 4 of them in like 30 seconds with me hardly doing anything lol

AnonymousTank or grab the attention of her sisters and let she waterfowl dances them to death easily.

AnonymousSweet Millie.
Cried at the end of her questline. it felt very personal and resonated.
but very sad
AnonymousI always kill her on sight after transporting to Caelid through the trapped chest, that’s my very first objective every run!

AnonymousThis b---- invaded me in the aeonian swamp, got me surrounded by 3 cleanrot knights all throwing rings at me whilst I was scarlet rotted. I finally kill everything while chugging estus and rolling around like a madman, (p.s carion piercer just annihilates her btw..). So then, I find her in a church of Marika 10 mins later, and when I try to get revenge she gets glowing yellow barrier of protection?? Wth! Lucky little edgelord would've been dead for good, How early into her quest can I kill her?

Anonymous
AnonymousI like to imagine a scenario on Altus Plateu where Elden John is desperately trying to convince her that it'd be okay for them to date even though she is afflicted with deadly rot, all the while skirting around the issue and never quite stating his intentions. In my mind, he'd bring up several times that he's actually immortal and be weirdly insistent about it to Millicent. He'd also talk about how he took a stroll through Caelid the other day and came to enjoy the tingling sensation in his legs when traversing the Swamp of Aeonia, point out his horse is actually immune to rot, or claim the giant crows and dogs are "oddly charming," with Millicent looking at him in complete bewilderment as he's uttering these seemingly random, rot-focused statements.

Anonymous
AnonymousShe is the best girl. One of the very few npc's that I really felt I had a genuine relationship/bond with. Love that she also trusts the tarnished so much and is willing to not even question his end goal and just fight alongside him. I think her questline could've been something more, where we could've deadass perhaps spoken to Malenia with Millicent being present, perhaps even gaining Malenia as a potential ally rather Malenia saying some cool words before rocking our ****

Anonymousi would tear a hole in the ****ing universe to break fate and save millie for real and for good, that's just me though

Anonymous
AnonymousConsider yourself an opp if you betrayed her on your first run or killed her before she could face off the sisters in the haligtree. It's on sight with you.

AnonymousIf you have trouble beating the sisters, equip Shibari's Woe before engaging the summon sign to help Millicent. As soon as you materialize, jump to the center platform. All of the sisters will focus on you without being able to do anything (except the ranged one, take her out first with your ranges attack). Millicent will be able to run around and smack them all dead without a scratch because they will ignore her. Help with ranged attacks against whomever Millicent is hitting at the time.

AnonymousIt would be cool if you could summon her during the malenia fight and malenia would turn passive and finally reunite with her daughter and you could become millicent's step-parent or melania's child-in-law i think that would be nice

Anonymous"If I am to flower into something other than myself, I would rather rot into nothingness as I am." is such a hard line

AnonymousWtf is going on with this comment section
It’s like it got attacked by a pack of 13 year old boys
AnonymousSTOP SAYING Millicent does "waterfowl dance with a shamshir" IT IS NOT WATERFOWL DANCE. it is very clearly and obviously not the same as the skill on hand of malenia. the particle slicing effects are clearly different and so is the timing of the attack and probably the hitboxes too

Why did I think I could take on malenia if I nearly got cooked by Millicent waterfowl dance

Anonymousone day i'll wake up in the timeline that has an elden ring where i can actually save her and make her my consort eternal, one day

Anonymousi desperately wish there was a way to save her. she is the one person in the game that MOST deserves to be saved. her strength physically (both literal and against the rot) and mentally, willpower against intrusive things that would change her very being, sense of personal identity against impositions from every direction, her morality and willingness to help the one who has helped her even if it were to mean death, and her beauty inside and out. even unbeknownst to her, her adoptive father tries to get you to betray and kill her BECAUSE she trusts you, TO HURT HER EVEN MORE to turn her into essentially a rot monster goddess. she is up against literally every angle of the world, and not only wins (if sided with), but dies with DIGNITY and her self intact with resolution when there was a way out of that at the cost of her being herself. her story is the most tragic, and she deserves an option to save, more than anyone else. i wish there was a way to help her turn into like, "Millicent, the Flourishing Valkyrie" where she has a cured outcome and "flourishing" has teo meanings, one is the metaphorical, the other is her fighting style. that would do her justice.

AnonymousIf the player chooses to kill her they should be invaded by her throughout the rest of the game.

AnonymousEasy choice for me. Millicent with a team of cleanrot knights chased and killed me in the middle of the swamp while Polyana helped me take on O’Neill and his mobs. Millicent’s prosthesis looks good on me.

AnonymousWhen she mentions that she was having nightmares before receiving the needle. I wonder if she’s referring to seeing herself fight you in the swamp during her invasion.

AnonymousImagine betraying her gave The malenia fight a third phase where she is like "mother I will avenge you"
"Millicent - Scarlet Valkyrie" sounds kinda fire for a boss
AnonymousI have an issue in my current run where I looted the Valkyries Prosthesis at the shaded castle but it disappeared from my inventory and thus I can´t give it to Millicent at the Erdtree Gazing Hill and proceed in this questline.
Checked online and lo and behold this bug is known since more than two years and still not fixed. That´s Bethesda levels of support..
AnonymousThe talisman is too good to ignore... sometimes u just gotta put an old dog down u know......

AnonymousMaybe I missed it on the page somewhere, but if you give her the Prosthesis, she becomes available to summon for the Dragon Tree Sentinel boss fight outside the entrance to Leyndell. Her and Targoth stunlock that thing hard

Anonymouswould, will, did and now there's a mini millicent running around please help

Anonymous
AnonymousIf you're not going to the Haligtree on your toon / run in question, just kill her at the Mountaintops location after she's exhausted her usefulness as a summon. There are 5 SADSS's elsewhere in the game, and the prosthesis is arguably better than the rotten winged insignia anyway. You can also get the Flock's Canvas talisman much earlier this way as well.

AnonymousI maybe found a possible bug in the Millicent quest. I progressed her quest to the point where she was standing at the Erdtree gazing hill and picked up the Valkyries prosthesis. Then I did all sorts of other things. As I wanted to finish her quest, I did Godskin apostle, but her summon sign wasn't there, also she did not appear at windmill village after the Godskin fight. I checked her everywhere including Windmill village, Ancient snow valley and Prayer room multiple times, but she was gone. I knew I last saw her at the Erdtree Gazing Hill, after that she disappeared. So I checked my inventory and found that I still had the Valkyries prosthesis under key items! I forgot to give it to her, then progressed all sorts of things. Thats maybe the cause she disappeared completely.

AnonymousI really need to see how this is good besides with a few multi hit aows. It sounds great on paper but to keep the max 13% you have to be attacking atleast twice every 2 seconds. On bosses with op aow sure if you hit max damage before the aow ends. Even then most aow with multi hits has atleast a 1 second recovery meaning after the aow is over you have .5 seconds to land a hit. Many better talismans that aren't hyper situational.

AnonymousEither she or Melina are dying, or both. You can't have a playthrough where both survive

Anonymous"I am of Malenia's bloo-" *gets Lion clawed in the face* yeah no thanks, I'm done with that wretched bloodline

Anonymous
AnonymousI’m in ng+6 and either Millicent, myself, or both got shredded by those sisters about 20 times in a row. So I said screw it and challenged her, which still took about 5 tries. I feel awful now, my dexterity is already maxed so the talisman is nearly useless anyway.

Anonymous
AnonymousGank squad equipment required. +11 Banished Knights Halberd with Spinning Strikes ala Flame Art applied, plus Flame of Frenzy. Over before I knew it.

Anonymousman first time i actually made her take some aggro during the assist due to me being a squishy build on a new slot and she literally either falls to her death or doesnt attack every single time, she fell to her death 7 times in a row even if shes only fighting 1 sister and i havent seen anyone else have this issue

Anonymous
I have done all the scenarios and all of her talismans. I fought her 1v1 and also helped her against her sisters; no biggie, easy to parry and backstab combat them. It's like PvP only more predictable. But what I found really interesting was that we can summon Millicent as a cooperator in 2 boss fights: the Dragon Tree Sentinel before Lyndell Rampart and Black Blade Kindred in the Forbidden Land. It's a pity she can't be summoned into Commander Niall's fight, not because I need help but I'd like to see how she fights them and do the fowl dancing.

Anonymous... Okay, but can we get her cool Shamshir with WFD and the flowing curved sword heavy attack?

Anonymous
AnonymousBest wife, wish they kept her original questline, and maybe made it so we didn't have to fight Malenia if we helped her from sisters.

AnonymousOkay, her sisters are VERY resistant to lightning, and weak to fire

Anonymous
AnonymousI feel like summoning her and her having dialogue with Malenia would be a great end to the quest. It seems weird how it just ends with three random sisters who were never mentioned before being the climax. She came all that way and never met Malenia.

AnonymousYou know that dog in front of Gowry's house? Well, it inadvertently hit Millicent after I aggroed it, and they started fighting, and Millicent was killed by the dog help :(

Anonymous"Does not appear as a summon for Commander Niall, despite her dialogue stating that she would be heading toward him."
This is wrong and needs to be removed, there's no such dialogue in which she say she'll be going toward him. To enforce this even further, it makes no sense for her to to say that she'll go to him, because Commander Niall is long dead after we get the Golden Needle from him, and if such supposed dialogue happens prior to killing him while she's in pain up in the church, know that she cannot move until Commander Niall is killed and we give the Golden Needle to Millicent.
Anonymous
Anonymousif you have problems in millicent appearing at certain locations then make sure to restart the location and talking to her and then restarting the location again

Anonymousi cant see the summon sign at the hill where the lake is, i have defeated malekith, the miniboss, and i have done all the previoous steps, i didnt kill malenia and she isnt appearing in the prayer room, what should i do?

AnonymousThere is a typo in the quest walkthrough (2 periods instead of 1).
"Go to Dominula, Windmill Village, and a golden summon sign for Millicent will appear before the Godskin Apostle boss.."
I would fix it but I don't know how
