Millicent's Prosthesis is a Talisman in Elden Ring. Millicent's Prosthesis increases Dexterity by 5, and raises attack power with successive attacks. Players can use talismans in Elden Ring to boost a variety of Stats.
Part of the golden prosthesis used by Millicent.
The hand is locked into a fist that once raised a sword aloft.
Boosts dexterity and raises attack power with successive attacks.
The despair of sweet betrayal transformed Millicent from a mere bud into a magnificent flower. And one day, she will be reborn - as a beautiful scarlet valkyrie.
Millicent's Prosthesis Effect in Elden Ring
Millicent's Prosthesis increases Dexterity by 5, and raises attack power with successive attacks.
- Increases attack power relative to the number of attacks you land. Has three tiers of attack power increase. Tiers decay to lower tiers when not attacking fast enough. Effect activates after three hits, regardless of weapon class.
- Decay duration: 1.5 seconds.
- For each tier, attack power increases by 4%, 6%, and then 11%.
- The attack power boost also affects the damage of certain Spells.
Where to find Millicent's Prosthesis in Elden Ring
- Can be obtained by killing Millicent at the Windmill Heights Site of Grace after killing the Godskin Apostle there. This is the absolute earliest it can be obtained.
- Killing her at any point after this will also make her drop this talisman, including when you are given the choice at the end of her questline between aiding or challenging her, and choose to challenge her. Upon killing her, you will automatically receive this talisman. Map Link
- If you chose to aid her at the end of her quest line and successfully fend off her sisters, she will drop the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia instead and this talisman can no longer be obtained during this playthrough until a new NG+ cycle is started.
Elden Ring Millicent's Prosthesis Notes & Tips
- Sell Value:
1,000
- Can be equipped at the same time as the Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom for a combined +10 to Dexterity, and the Winged Sword Insignia or Rotten Winged Sword Insignia to stack the attack buffs received from sequential attacks.
- it does not work with Ghiza's wheel ash of war (spinning wheel)

Part of me sort of wishes that this worked for spells, but another part of me doesn’t want to see Elden Stars murder people instantly.

let me get this straight.. WSI has +3,+5,+10% and this has +4,+6,+11%, +5dex.. are you trying to tell me that +1% to succesive attacks and 5 poor lvls of dex is a reason for you to kill cool NPC? how much is it? like +50dmg to your attacks? except nice design of that icon, it relatively worthless.. and how many succesive R1 do you need to click uninterupted to even trigger this effect? 4? again, worthless.. Millicent can live.. until she decides to kill herself
- Anonymous
I think, for a specific STR build, for example Marais Executioner’s Sword, it’s worth using this talisman to meet minimum DEX requirement (14). You can get this plus WSI really early (only two bosses needed killing, Commander O’Neil and Godskin Apostle at Dominula. For extra talisman slot, defeat Margit). You get the RWSI far later in the game. However, you’ll miss 1 somber +10 and the ability to reverse Frenzied Flame ending.
NG+0: It's four against us two. We got this, Millicent.
NG+1: Sorry Millicent, but you must die.

TIL, all it takes for souls player to kill a terminally ill woman trying to deliver a cure to her terminally ill mom is +5 dex

**** millicent's prosthesis, all my homies hate millicent's prosthesis

I can't bring myself to go for this talisman-
"Oh you'll feel guilty about killing millicent, huh?"
No I'd just rather get the somber 10 from Malenia's flower after her boss fight.

Imagine going into battle carrying a f*cking limb made of solid gold, lol

What, Still here? Hand it over, that thing, your Prosthesis... For my Dex twink build...

Drops from Milicent? How horrible!
...
*draws misericorde* anyway....

for those of us not going to NG+ and not having a friend give it, the choice is:
Rotten winged sword talisman or
winged talisman + prosthesis
it might seem a better choice to go with the second, it does more damage, but it all depends what your second choice is with the first
if you will use the red feather talisman, then you're better off getting the rotten wing sword since the two will do more than the second choice

can u get this without doing the quest and just kill her ? i dont care for her just want it.

What are you all feeling sorry about? This damn cheater uses waterfoul dance on a shamshir!
Based on the description, it leads me to believe that by "killing" Millicent, she basically undergoes the same process that turned Malenia into what she is now, being encased in a bud-like cocoon until her metamorphosis is complete, like a butterfly. She obviously wishes to avoid this fate, but I find it ironic nonetheless that by betraying her, you prolong her "life" in a way that listening to her wishes cannot, which ultimately results in her actually dying. Either she is suicidal because she feels she has no ability to control her own fate otherwise, or perhaps whatever fate that befalls her after her metamorphosis is a fate worse than death, it's too vague to tell really. I would have loved to get more insight from Malenia regarding this, as she seems mostly fine mentally. In this way, Millicent actually reminds me more of Ranni in that she would rather choose to kill herself than follow her "fate" as it were.

does this talisman work with the multi-hits of spinning weapon?

So I'm just recently aware that this item drops after killing best girl, right after I took on the Frenzied Flames with Hyetta. And since I do not like to subject the world to madness by playing the Samsung alert ringtone on loop and on max volume throughout the land, I shall therefore let Millicent be so she can live another day at least. Any shortcomings my dex build will face will just be compensated with my
sheer will to kill things lol

Definitely kill her at the windmill instead of doing her entire quest line if you want this talisman as there is no additional incentive in waiting until the end
- Anonymous
As it stands, if you use fast weapons and have a free talisman slot, you have no reason to use Prosthesis-Wearer Heirloom or any Winged Sword Insignia over this, since it outclasses them both. I think this should have been a middle ground between the two instead of a straight upgrade, because right now, you're punished for achieving the better ending of Millicent's questline.
You get this to optimize your damage output with rotten insignia in ng+. I get this on my lvl 1 wretch with soreseal and two fingers to wield Vyke spear. We re... Not that different actually
- Anonymous
I use the prosthesis to hold my dexterous sword, while thinking about Millicent with great respect... sob... ಥ_ಥ
- Anonymous
Doesn't work with bows. A damn shame, too. This would've made short bows actually good.
- Anonymous
Can you kill millicent after the windmill village godskin fight to get the talisman and then celestial dew reset her from the turtle church to complete here story line and get the other talisman?
- Anonymous
If this works with the Stonedigger spells that'd be cheap as hell.
- Anonymous
When you’re min maxing that +5 dex wins out every time. Lol. Sorry Mille. Love ya girl. I’ll get your somber in NG+ remember to do the deed at windmill heights or you’ll be doing this in NG+ too. Lol.
- Anonymous
If she stands in altus south and doesn't move to Windmill Heigts SOG, u gotta give her the Valkyrie's Prosthesis.
- Anonymous
She fell off the platform while I was pelting her with arrows
I'm sorry hun, I hope you can forgive me in NG
- Anonymous
Normal people: use this on their speedy DEX weapon build
Me: slap this on my Greatsword STR build and max instaproc on a group of enemies with one swing
- Anonymous
I am sorry, i betray everything, but i don't want another Malenia

I had to get drunk to do what i had to do. Still feel like ****. I'm sorry that i hurt you non-existent person.

why are they rewarding us for killing likeable npcs then punish us for killing the annoying ones..

Why can she do Waterfowl? did Malenias tutor also teach her? is there any lore explanaition for that?

Prob best to get this in your first ng cycle as it stacks with the base sword insignia meaning you get a higher damage bonus combining the two then running the pure rotten sword, also you get +5 to dex which is good
- Anonymous
One thing that I think should be pointed out, the prosthesis seems to work with the Ghiza Wheel’s one-handed R2’s, even if it doesn’t work with the ash of war. So if you want to do a pizza cutter build, this should work so long as you don’t use the ash of war. (I could be wrong, but I know the R2’s proc Godskin Swaddling Cloth, so I imagine it’s the same)
- Anonymous
I killed her in ng+3 but I thought I needed to kill the moment she got the arm I felt so bad I killed her for nothing

She invaded me. She died. Who cares about her quest. Invaders die.

If 0.98-([AR without +5dex]÷[AR with +5dex]) equals a negative value, just use Rotten Winged Insignia
- Anonymous
I don't mind betraying her. I'm more of a Polyanna guy, myself.
- Anonymous
I recommend getting this before you go through her entire questline, as it'll just make you more attached to her and make it hurt more.
Even if she's fated to die no matter what you do, killing an NPC you've talked to and fought alongside hurts.
- Anonymous
Seems like something that would be useful for a Dagger build. A Build I have yet to run, I think I'll make a new character who uses this. As much as I don't like the idea of Killing Millicent, I do think this Talisman is a must for Dagger Builds...
- Anonymous
I couldn't bring myself to kill her for this talisman until NG+3 because it just felt wrong. But I wanted to collect all the talismans. I wouldn't do it again though. Worth doing once, but giving up one of the few ancient dragon somber smithing stones in the game wasn't easy. That, and the whole murdering her in cold blood thing. I feel like a terrible person.
Fun fact, I didn’t even have to kill her to get this on my NG+ run. When I got summoned in, a red phantom was already attacking her in the rot pool, where she succumbed shortly after. The game warped me out before the bugger even knew I was there, and I gained the item upon my return. What a generous gift, if this isn’t what usually happens. Thank you, FROM.

How many attacks are needed for full effect?
They say 'Effect activates after three hits, regardless of weapon class.'
Does it mean tier will increase per hit after first activation? or it need 9 hit for full effect?
- Anonymous
Gettin attached to millicent faster than her new arm, only to have to kill her. oof

I started this quest just for the item and didn't care who had to die but damm it hurt having to kill her and im definitely doing a NG+ where i complete her quest

Confirmed, each level only takes 2 hits and the cool down between levels is 3 seconds not 1.5. This means if you are dual wielding you will proc this on each swing.
I don't get it you have the ability to literally just take it right out of a chest but in order to get it yourself you need to give it to someone let them use it for a while then kill them take it again THEN you can finally use it
- Anonymous
confirmed you get it killing her after godskin, i feel so bad

You're a sweet gal, Millicent, but I'ma need that arm back.

Probably would have been worth mentioning that you have to get and give the Valkyrie's Prosthesis to he before killing her...

- Anonymous
Don't you think this is suppose to be the one we get from helping her? A talisman to remember her by. While the rotten wing talisman is "rotten" and should be given when you kill her in cold blood?
- Anonymous
Absolute worst one to get.... Picked this one up, and immediately went on my next journey. So painful betraying poor Millicent.
- Anonymous
Help I killed her at the Church of Plague and now i can't get it, what do i do
- Anonymous
Killed the Godskin Apostle, then went to the swamp and was invaded by her. No Talisman after killing her
- Anonymous
This does not work on crossbows, don’t know why, I haven’t tested it with actual bows yet but crossbows do not work with it. RIP to my plan with the pulley crossbow
- Anonymous
Well, if you don't like summoning, at least this way she gives you a hand...
- Anonymous
Bummer that getting this talisman requires you to kill a cool NPC and lose out on the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, Miquella's Needle AND a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
- Anonymous
it should say she drops the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia if you assist her, not Unalloyed Gold Needle
- Anonymous
Does anyone knows if this actually affects any spells like the wiki says. If yes, then what spells it affects?
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
Have someone trade it to you, it's not worth killing one of the best npcs for this
- Anonymous
Kinda doesn't make sense how you can't pick this up when she dies on her own, like, the body is still there?
- Anonymous
I would feel bad...
But she made the decision to invade me in the middle of a Scarlet Rot swamp. Dismounting me, and then Waterfoul Dancing on my face.
I'll take your pretty good talisman, thanks.
- Anonymous
I like to think that if I betray her and make her bloom at the end of her questline and do the Frenzied Flame ending that she will be reborn as a Scarlet Valkyrie and team up with Melina to take you down.
Let me dream
- Anonymous
Isnt this better then rotten sword you save 5 points in stats and the only diffrence with rotten sword is you get 2% less
- Anonymous
Another mutual-exclusive. I hated it when From teases out our temptation/ guilt by killing a likable NPC for an item.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
On the one hand I know she isn't a real woman and I do not do that creepy Waifu thing with female video game characters that tells pretty much everyone in the room you will forever be maidenless but I'm not killing her for this on any playthrough.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
They may or may not have patched out the method of allows you to get both. Source: Just tried it, but when you try to attack her at the end of the quest, she gets enveloped by a gold barrier.
- Anonymous
I wasted my opportunity to get this because i finished her quest by assisting her and got the Needle even though i didn't choose the Frenzied Flame path.
- Anonymous
Sometimes you just gotta say screw it I’ll make better choices in new game plus
I need that extra damage output lmao
Elden Ring items impossible to get in a single playthrough, meet Cheat Engine. Cheat Engine, meet Elden Ring items impossible to get in a single playthrough.

I fought her as a NPC invader in the Swamp of Aeonia. I got the Millicent's Prosthesis as a reward. I then rescued her via the needle given by Gowry, and fought on her side against her sisters. The reward for this is the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia. You can get both items in one playthrough and they stack.
- Anonymous
I cant not fond her at the Windmill Heights Site of Grace...?
- Anonymous
She IS the Goodest Girl, but this Quik Boi wants that dapper damage.
So... Imma cut her blood out.
- Anonymous
best part is it stacks with rotten winged talisman, meaning if getting both through NG+ youll be racking up some nice percentages for speedy weapons
Honestly, I don't regret killing Millicent for this talisman, it works great with dual katanas and claws, and i have seen that it also works with de AoW of the Marais greatsword. Also, that way she doesn't become Malenia 2, and completely ruins another region, like what happened in Caelid
- Anonymous
This would be perfect on a dual dagger build but hell if I'm gonna murder someone, even just an NPC line of code to get this thing. I feel like From do this on purpose in their games to see who will give up their last bit of humanity for PURE POWER.
- Anonymous
Sure, she's just code, but I don't need to min-max that badly.
Even with 100% completion on the line, is it worth giving up a somber 10 and betraying an npc who trusted you?
