The craziest thing happened to me. I didn't kill him but I went back to the church to buy spells and he was gone, as in dead, then I got invaded by the guy that invades you if you kill Miriel which i slayed and got the bell bearing. Saddened I gave it to the Husks, but somehow it did not work, then i went back to the church and there he was and I was like :DDDDDDDDD . Not sure why it happened though.

I started to attack him because I saw all the spells on the list and immediately regretted it, I wish he could be here to give me knowledge on how to bring himself back.

I felt so bad killing the giant dog to find out what his bell bearing would do, and even worse when I found how pointless the 'reward' was for me, all it does is make everything he was offering available through the twins instead. Though I'm unsure if that works for unlockable spells in the case of unlocking them with scrolls/books.
I make sure to obtain this item every playthrough. Why? Because I can’t stand tortoises. This is for deeply personal reasons which I will not share with you. I’m not on trial here! Leave me alone!
