does the damage of the ash of war scale off the two separate damage types stated on the weapon or does it have its own scaling based directly off your faith or int? would it get a buff it i managed to put a flat damage buff on it like a grease?

      • 3rd input of Moon stance should be buffed, as the melee attack deals the same damage and poise and the projectile deals 50% more damage and poise compared to the other two inputs, but the other two inputs do it TWICE EACH (two melee attacks, two magic waves per input), so in the end this has ~75% of the power of the other two inputs. Since its the last, it should have been the strongest, or at least EQUAL VALUE. Melee should deal x2 dmg/poise as it does now, and wave should deal +33% dmg/poise.

The fire stance is really cool, but 90% of flame pillars miss. They should add some sort of semi-intelligent tracking around the locked-on target, I think about light of miquella's incantation, in which the fire pillars that come after the main beam all fall around the locked target which increases the probability of hitting him.

Do the magic beams true combo in pvp ? meaning if the first beam hit also the second will get a guaranteed hit ? and will the 2 beams of the first follow up also be guaranteed if at least one of the first 2 hit ?
I think they do but sometimes the beams go off target or hit the ground for seemingly random reasons (mostly differences in altitude i think) and i've not been able to properly determine that.
Also if hit at melee range what motion value the physical sword hit has ?

Tested with 99 in all stats. Troll in front of Godrick. Alexander Shard.

5 beam slashes ~ 2.5k. SoNaF mini Comet Azure ~2.5k

3 fire spins ~2.1k. SoNaF flame swipe ~2.1k

Same performance except with this weapon the animations take way longer so good luck.

Nothing compared to the Night-and-Flame Stance. Does similar damage but takes way longer and is harder to hit.

u have the choice of a mid and clunky ranged attack that does no damage, or a mid and clunky close range attack that does no damage and has a high fp cost

im on pc, i cant get the moonveil like attack to work. only the flames, how tf do i get it to work on mouse and keyboard?

                  • Anonymous

is it just me or is nearly impossible to do the light version (glinstone slashes) on keyboard? the only way i figured is to tap light at the same time as tapping the stance, but i want to be able to hold it for rellana's cameo dmg boost. Am i being dumb or do i have to change keybinds? (AoW is bound to shift and rightclick btw, with shift also being for heavy attacks)

The magic stance attack follow up inputs seem to vary based on your INT. With INT below 50, the third attack is a spinning slash with a storm visual effect while above 50 it's an overhead moonveil attack. Has anyone else experienced this?

                      • Anonymous

i like using this on a dex/fth messmer fire knight themed character with minimal int. the fire spin has the same flame effect as messmer's flame, and messmer's orb is a great follow-up if you can catch someone with the spin since they'll probably be panic rolling out. the magic sword beams suffer but they're not bad as just generic projectiles to throw out when you need some, and alexander's shard can help make up for the lack of int

Considering how poor the elemental damage scaling is on this weapon, this WA really should have buffed the weapons.

Does this skill have the same scaling as the normal melee attacks or is it pure Int scaling (since the projectiles look like Glintstone sorceries)?
