Where to find Mottled Necklace in Elden Ring
The Mottled Necklace can be found at the very edge of the ruined bridge leading to Nokron, Eternal City. This area is accessible via waygate at The Four Belfries through the waygate labeled "night sky unceasing". [Map link]
Shadow of the Erdtree
- Mottled Necklace +2: In the Ancient Ruins of Rauh just after getting past the forge giant across the bridge. You must make your way through the ruin it was in front of, and once at the top proceed past the large stone structure all the way to the end of the area and unblock the spirit spring. Then jump down onto the spring and jump back up to the opposite side. The necklace will be at the top of the stairs. [See Shadow of the Erdtree Map] [Video Link]
Where to find Mottled Necklace variants:
Base Game
- Mottled Necklace +1 Version - Can be found on a corpse on top of some ruined arches overlooking Hallowhorn Grounds in Nokron, Eternal City. From the stairway leading up to the Hallowhorn Grounds, circle around the left side of the structure and follow the inclines uphill as much as possible. You should eventually be able to get on top of the Hallowhorn Grounds structure. [Map link]

AnonymousAll I got was an open empty chest with a whole lot of nothing in it. I checked my inventory and I don't have the +2 necklace, so I didn't get it prior. What gives? Bug?

Better directions to Mottled Neckalce +2: Teleport to the Church of the Bud, Main Entrance Site of Grace and hop on your trusty steed, Torrent. Hop over to the stone gazebo east of you and drop to the ground below you. Hug the northern wall to find a sealed spiritspring. Break the seal and drop to the newly opened spiritspring below you. Use the spiritspring to reach the top of the ruins directly across from where you fell (top of the Northern side) and follow the stairs up to a chest containing the talisman.

As you stand in front of the ruins there is a small hill at 10 o'clock from which you can jump onto the arches. Killing the boss isn't necessary for obtaining this item.

the +1 is directly above the regal ancestral deer corpse in the second hallowhorn grounds where the non-ghost viking folks hang out. (Mimic Tear or Ancestral Woods Grace Point)
Just go up around the hill to the northwest of the upper hallowhorn grounds and you'll see where you can hop over and walk across the stones to get it.
Easier to get than the standard version, honestly. I wouldn't waste my time getting that one, just get the +1

UPDATE: Mottled Necklace +1 is located AFTER Fighting the mimic tear, face north from Mimic Tear grace. Head across the bridge north until you reach the path to the forest. Facing the path from to the forest with the Sining Viking looking women, there is a ruined structure on the right. You can see it from the bridge. It has a bunch of viking looking guards and a staircase. Run to that. It's not far from the bridge. When approaching the staircase take a path on the LEFT and jump up some rocks. The Necklace+2 is located on top of the ruined structure. It's easy to get to once you know the CORRECT LOCATION.
