Where to find Nepheli Loux Puppet
Where to Find Nepheli Loux Puppet
- Can be collected in Caria Manor from Pidia if Nepheli Loux drank Seluvis's Potion. After advancing Ranni's questline to the point where you give her the Fingerslayer Blade and she departs from Ranni's Rise, Seluvis will die. Now when you head down to revisit Pidia you will hear him pleading for his life from the puppets. After you arrive you'll find his corpse in the middle of three standing puppets (can't be attacked). His corpse has this puppet and Pidia's Ball Bearing. However if Nepheli didn't drink the potion, Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet will be found instead.

Wow, so many people are just REALLY into putting their own morals into this game. Albeit, I play a nice character a lot of the time and only now deciding to do an evil flame-of-frenzy confessor who dual-wields Shamshirs and this just fits right into the build along with Dung Eater.

Granted you can live with yourself after subjecting her to becoming a puppet, this is genuinely a top tier summon. Not too expensive, does huge damage, and is pretty tanky.

If you have this in you inventory, godfrey will start the fight in his phase 2 right away.
Use this in the caelid colosseum so they know who they're dealing with

Doing a Gideon Ofnir run. Would I be wrong to make this my spirit?
- Anonymous
let me cut straight to the chase
idc about the morality i care about whether or not this is gonna benefit me
is it worth it at all or should i go for dung eater instead
which is the better summon

Get Dung Eater first, then get Neph on NG+ and have fun fighting by her side through the NG+ cycles, personally i only used Spirit Summons for hordes of enemies, and then once more on Malenia (I cracked at the time, and have since beaten her three more times solo, no bleed build garbage), but with such a cool summon like her its gonna be a lot of fun style points bringing her along until i stow her away for my NG+6 solo run, currently on NG+3 and its quite a blast having her around.

I know betraying Nepheli is a horrific enterprise. But. On NG+, picture this:
You: armed with Loux's Earthshaker.
On your left: Nepheli Loux, Puppet.
On your right: Nepheli Loux, Warrior.... Who is presumably looking at the puppet with severe unease.
And in front of you: Godrick, who should now be pre-emptively grafting his own last will and testament onto himself.
I'll see you in NG+ Neph </3
On one hand, Nepheli is awesome and being able to summon her for every boss fight would be a blast. On the other hand, she's awesome and it would be horrible to do that to her...

Well I guess the only reason to get this is if you are following dung eater’s questline as you couldn’t get him as a puppet anyway, might as well get her if even for completionist’s sake.
It’s in line with the moral of the character going for curse of despair ending as well.

I literally had no idea what was going on and ended up turning my friend into a sex doll.

An item I shall never aquire. Don't want to betray darkskin tomboy waifu, as well as, pragmatically, missing out on two ancient dragon smithing stones from her and gostoc at the end of her questline.

I mean to be fair who drinks a random potion you probably don't recognize from somebody you barely know without even a little bit of suspicion
- Anonymous
I'm confused so I read everywhere that whoever you give the potion to you get their ashes drop from pidia but in my playthroughs I bought the ashes from seluvis for 5 starlight shards from the same place you get the jarwight puppet and the finger maiden puppet and in the every playthrough even if I gave someone the potion the Dolores puppet always dropped from pidia
- Anonymous
You don't have to complete Rannis questline. The only important thing is that Seluvis is dead so that Pidias puppets will turn against him and he'll die too. If the potion was given to Nepheli Loux you will get her puppet (I assume Ranni has to leave her tower for this to trigger since i dont know if she can stay at her rise with Seluvis being dead if you dont exhaust her dialoge - but i still got the puppet without helping Ranni whatsoever I just started her Quest and finished Seluvisis one till he died).

I never got this one even though I gave Nepheli the potion. I did get Dolores though it may have been before the patch.

I have the Legendary Ashen Remains achievement and I completely missed Seluvis's questline. That is to say, getting Nepheli is as far as I know not required for any achievements/to Platinum the game. If any of y'all have compunctions against that in this case you should be fine on that front.

Tested a +10 Nepheli on one of the two Tree Sentinels outside in Altus at Journey 9, basically max mobs. Out of 10 tries she got the Sentinel down to 20-30%hp 4 times, 50% 4 times, and 80% 2 times. Her AI is funky and can cause her to die really fast depending on if she wants to roll or not. The stats are a little skewed because unlike dung eater, she CANNOT draw aggro on enemies, so around 25% of the time battling the Sentinel was focused on me. Just some food for thought.
Comparing to Dung Eater
PROS- she does about 60ish more damage per hit , attacks faster and more combos, and uses her Stormcaller ash of war.
CONS- Cannot draw aggro, debuff and bleed enemies like Dung Eater. She is also alot squishier than Dung
Overall she isnt that bad of a summon but I would personally go for my boy Dung Eater

I'm going to get her ashes and then when I NG+ I'll save her, so I can have her be my companion in all the bosses, and still have a world where her quest succeeds. What will it cost? Everything. For one NG cycle.

After using her for a while I would say it’s better to get the dungeater puppet. Nepheli uses dual wield stormhawk axes, as well as their weapon art, but the range of her attacks isn’t very good. Dungeater is just better overall since he’s so tanky and does great damage.

The entire Seluvis questline is the most messed up thing From Soft has ever written honestly

Everyone is talking about how bad they feel about getting her, but nobody is actually talking about whether she's a great summon or not...
- Anonymous
just to check: you CAN'T get both her's and dung eater's ashes in one run right?
- Anonymous
Hate to admit it because the consequences are chilling, but until her questline is fixed, I guess that's the only worthwhile thing you can get from her.
- Anonymous
I got her as a summon.
You have to give her the potion > continue Seluvis quest up to getting the Amber Starlight Potion > DON'T give Ranni the potion and instead wake her up with the fingerslayer blade in inventory > go to where Pidia the merchant is and her summon ashes will be on Pidia's body.
Also yes I tried to summon her on Haight, nothing happened.
- Anonymous
So you either get Nepheli or the Hawk ashes depending on if you give the potion or not
- Anonymous
Listen, it was for science I had to know the effects, I will live with my own regrets and correct my mistakes on NG+
- Anonymous
Nope, not gonna do it. Can't make myself to give a potion to her when she was abandon by her own father and crying alone downstairs like that.

I just figured out how to get this. If you give nepheli the potion, and then progress ranni’s questline until seluvis dies, go to the cliff above the manor lower level and chase the scarab. It will run towards a rooftop and jump down. Here you will hear seluvis crying and getting killed by his own puppets, and upon dropping down along the side of the rooftop to enter the building, you will find him in there dead with a bell bearing and the summon ashes for nepheli.

Wow, so little information on this?
I believe in order to get nepheli loux's puppets
First you must make nepheli drink Seluvis's potion, where she will then move to the hidden cellar near Ranni's Rise with the other puppets - she will not be able to be interacted from here on out.
After finishing Ranni's questline, I went back to Ranni's Rise and explored aroundl - moving near Seluvis's Rise will be a cliff that leads to a rooftop. You can start to hear an NPC talking fearfully, follow the sound and jump down the wooden platforms where it will lead to a rectangular descent with a ladder in there.
Go down the ladder and you will find the rest of the dialogue of the NPC and down the ladder you will find 3 puppet raya lucarian soldiers standing around a dead NPC - on that dead NPC will be Nepheli Loux Puppet.

on the coprse of the puppet handler after he has been killed by the puppets he was taking care of (assuming because the puppet maker was killed), drop down from the cliff on the roof of a castle building (next to the castle), wooden balcony on the side...

Give her the potion when she is depressed.
You monster.
Welcome to the Club.

where/when do you get this (or presumably the dung eater puppet if you gave the potion to him)? only thing left to do after giving them the potion seems to be killing him by giving the finger cutter blade to ranni which seems like the wrong thing to do to get the puppet ashes from him.
Ancient Dragon SmIthing Stone, upgrade for a weapon you can use anywhere >>>>>> Nepheli ashes, which can only be used in certain areas.
Nepheli >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Melina, Malenia, Ranni, MIllicent, and the rest.
No more discussion.
