Apparently the Shattering was brought about by everybody getting poisoned and not knowing how to cure it because holy **** this thing is nowhere to be found

It's crazy that you literally can't find any of these things lying around on the map. If you miss that one merchant in an optional area of the game then you just won't be offered a means of curing Poison short of rolling a Faith buld.

For everyone complaining there aren't any: the page doesn't list it as craftable, but you can actually craft these once you find the armorer's cookbook 2. And since one of the first merchants in the game sells it (the one at the coastal cave) for a very small price, it's really not that hard to get by.
