Negations (or Absorptions)
The negation numbers are the % of your damage that gets blocked. For example, if a negation is 60, 40% of that damage by that type will go through and 60% will be negated. Bigger number = less damage. A negation of 100 means no damage goes through, and a negation of -100 mean the enemy takes 2x damage from that source. 0 means damage goes pretty much as is.
Resistances
Poison: 539 / 829 / 1286
Scarlet Rot: 539 / 829 / 1286
Hemorrhage: 239 / 281 / 379 / 669
Frostbite: 239 / 281 / 379 / 669
The resistance numbers are the buildup amount to trigger it. For example, if a resistance is 100 you must deal 100 points of the given buildup to trigger it. Note that these go down over time, and increase each time the effect procs. The values after the "/"s indicate the increased resistances after each successive proc.

Elden Ring Omenkiller Boss Guide
Omenkiller Fight Strategy
The Best Tips for Omenkiller:
- There are three dogs that can be cleared before the fight. First fall off the ramp side and aggro the dog near the house. After it dies, the second dog should aggro. The final dog is behind the tree to the left of the boss. Stand on the large root near the house and take it out with arrows.
- Bring Stanching Boluses Item to account for Hemorrhage build up.
Melee Users
The most challenging part of the Omenkiller fight is the environment. Omenkiller does a double slam jump attack three times in a row, that will likelu one-shot light armor wearers, combo medium armor wearers in 2 hits, and instantly stagger all but the strongest shields. If you get caught on some of the junk lying around, you will die. So take some time to really look at the area. You will want to wear enough armor to survive at least one of his double slam jump attacks, while keeping in the medium load range.
Defensively, simply backing up is enough to avoid almost all of his attacks - as long as you don't get caught on the environment. The only one to watch out for is his jump attacks. You can back away from them, and the timing for rolls is not too difficult, but getting tagged by the first or second attack of the combo is usually death. The third attack in the combo has a deceptively long range as well, so be sure and have your shield up even if you think you won't get hit.
Omenkiller uses the fire defensively, so it's fairly easy to back away from. But you should try to push around the outside of the burning patch, because you don't want to get trapped from backing up, and being at mid range can trigger his jump attack.
Omenkiller has relatively low poise, use your strong attack and it should interrupt him. If your weapon's strong attack does not interrupt him, you should try a heavier weapon. Because of this, he is highly susceptible to guard counters, but it's recommended that you back out of the first swing and let the second hit your shield for the counter. Be sure and watch your Hemorrhage meter though, and equip some bleed preventative tools if it builds too fast for you to manage.
Magic and Ranged Users
Ranged is similar to melee. If you can equip a shield and weapon heavy enough to interrupt Omenkiller with a strong attack, you might find it easier to just fight him in melee. However, note that being near him is dangerous because his blade hits deal a lot of damage and may inflict Hemorrhage.
Omenkiller Attacks & Counters
Attack | Description | Counter |
Swing | ![]() |
Roll away or use the attack's telegraphed wind-up to parry it |
Jumping Slam | ![]() |
Roll to either side for each jump, and be careful not to get caught on the level geometry. It takes a long time to recover after the third jump, so use that opportunity to or land a few hits or get a backstab |
Twirling Swing | ![]() |
Roll to your right or parry the first cleaver |
Fire Breath | Breathes fire that lingers on the ground for a short time | Move back and avoid the burning patch of ground. This is a good opportunity to use items or cast spells |
: Attack can be parried
Omenkiller Lore, Notes & Other Trivia
- According to Omenkiller Rollo, they often used perfumes to null their senses, allowing them to kill without remorse or emotion.
- Known as Forsaken in 1.00 version of the game
- A very obvious nod to the Capra Demon, which include many of the same attacks, along with canine companions.

these guys are kinda funny when you take into account that they´re drugged out of their minds

My question is why did the Omenkillers destroy the Albinauric Village seeking the Haligtree Medallion?
- Anonymous
this fight seems to be a callback and an apology by Fromsoft for the Capra Demon, the exact two dogs, the appearance of the main boss and even his choice of weapons, everything absolutely similar, only this time with a far, far better arena, so i say apologies accepted, for this time, the battle was indeed enjoyable.

Getting hit by this dudes jump slams, makes me feel a taste of what enemies feel when i spam dual wielded greatsword jump attacks on them.

As most people have already said this is a spiritual successor to the capra demon, dual cleavers, horns (albiet on a helm instead of sprouting from head), and he's accompanied by 2 dogs

Alternate strategy for the Omenkiller in Village of the Albinaurics: stand on the roof of the nearby shack and use ranged attacks. He can't it you and isn't smart enough to hide.

Something interesting, if you go to Seluvis' puppet basement before killing Omenkiller at Village of the Albinaurics, the Omenkiller puppet's eyes are glowing orange. After killing Omenkiller in Village of the Albinaurics and returning, the puppets eyes are no longer glowing. What could this mean? Was this puppet body what was controlling the Omenkiller in the village, or that Seluvis sent the cursemongers who ransaked the place looking for the Secret Haligtree Medallion? It was Gideon who was seeking it from Latenna before, in any case it's interesting that the puppets eyes are lit like that if you go into that area kind of early and see it.

Ignore the "guide" - Mount up and pass him by with a light attack, will be an easy dodge of his attacks most of the time

If you orient your camera upwards, you can actually toss firebombs to kill the two dogs past the fog wall. Afterwards, go up the stairway and train him to follow. He will eventually fall, giving you a window for a plunging attack. Rinse and repeat. Be sure to open the gateway beyond the boss encounter, that will loop back to Firelink Shrine as a shortcut.

Idk if I was overleveled but I beat this guy first try with the skeleton ashes, Bastard's Stars, and Ice Breath. I didn't even notice the dogs down the hill until I killed him.

This boss is pathetic. Summon Wolves or any of the offensive fast Ash Spirit. Then climb up to one of the houses to the right of the area and barrage him with spells. He dies without even getting a hit.

It is true that the environtment is the greatest enemy here. Single bladed attacks are easily blocked and counterattacked, interrupting his combo, but like it is said in the article, one must avoid the double slam.

i love elden ring and all but this is literally just capra demon again. kinda lazy.

Somehow I did not realize that this guy was a boss. I just thought he was a strong enemy because I don't remember seeing a boss health bar while fighting him. I must have killed him though because I have the crucible knot in my inventory and Nepheli Loux's storyline continued. Has anyone else had this experience with him?

They need to get kicked in the **** hard, dogs are the one npc that should never be allowed in boss rights, total cancer

He wields two big cleaver like weapons, makes jump attacks and has 3 undead dogs to back him up. He's basically Capra Demon from DS1 lol

Deafeated omenkiller before questline and now i can't complete Npheli and Seluvis questline

Am i the only one who thinks this boss is a reference to the Kapra demon ? Double sword big guy surrounded with a few dogs in a 2 height level arena with trees ?
His damage is no joke, and his fire attacks are annoying. I killed him by killing the caster on the bridge and then drawing him out with a bow to avoid the hounds. He's easily parried, so I recommend throwing on your heaviest armor and best Parry shield. In particular, his fatal jumping slam is easily parried. Beware, every time he gets up he will do a 180 spin attack (I didn't attempt to parry it), and usually follows with a breath. Only took a couple deaths of trying to parry to kill him.

In the village, there’s like a tiny ledge and if you make him jump down, his landing animation is quite long. You can use this time to get attacks him. Easily beatable by exploiting this.

Raya Lucaria+ Nephili's help + Cold Hookclaws, kill dogs first before encounter, let aggro to help first, spam attack for a 10 second kill
- Anonymous
Use Rays Lucario ashes, Nephili's help, and cold hook laws, easiest boss in the game, just spammed left click and blood + frostbite and everyone else kept him in a stunlock and killed him in 10 seconds no joke.... Try it and lmk

Cool boss, but what a pushover, 2 parries and he's gone. That 140 Misericorde blade is absolute overkill.

Reminds me a lot of the Capra Demon. The zombie dogs with him are the most dangerous part of fighting him.

i ****in rolled him with jump attacks he just gets stunned every time 3 or 4 break his posture then its pretty much over

"This is an optional boss as players must not defeat it to advance to the Legacy Dungeon."
This should be taken off all the pages as it's absolutely poorly phrased and misleading. Whoever wrote these has a seriously tenuous grasp on the English language.
Does anyone know if killing this boss affects the legacy dungeon? I dont understand why they say dont kill him in the intro above?
- Anonymous
Why does it say youre not supposed to kill him if you want the legacy dungeon???

This enemy can be cheesed; further down there is a small house's roof that the player can jump on and where rhe player is safe from the Omenkiller's attacks (it's possible that his fire breath can hit you, but this should only tick away a tiny little bit of the player's overall health bar and can easily be replenished). Hit him one or twice after each combo, rinse and repeat.

you can kill two of his three dogs prior to starting his encounter.

Easy kill. Ride horse, jump onto houses, get on biggest one with the tree. Shoot arrows till dead.
- Anonymous
This is a very obvious Capra demon redo lol. The 2 dogs and everything
If you wanna abuse this guy in the village of Albinaurics and happen to be doing mage build, just get on torrent and then hop onto the roof of the house closer to the bonfire (I jumped from the tree). Then while locked onto him, cast rock sling. The projectiles spawn in front of you and follow locked targets as soon as you start casting. This way even tho he's gonna be stuck under you spamming his attacks, you will be able to easily kill him while he and his dogs can't do jack ****. Sometimes he might back off, but you can just use a bow or a kukri to aggro him back. Though, if you wanna avoid that, just make sure he's spamming his attacks. Also if you keep delocking because of the roof, just make sure you cast rock sling when locked and the projectiles should follow him even after you unlock. 10/10 fight
