Paintings in Elden Ring are Info Items scattered all around The Lands Between that act as a form of treasure hunt. The Wandering Artist Spirit's Paintings depict specific locations you'll have to find in order to meet the spirits of the artists themselves. Upon finding and inspecting one of the seven drawings, a ghost of the artist will manifest at the location from which they were painted, granting a specific reward. Note that the location you must seek is not the structure or landscape depicted itself, but rather the spot the artist would have been when painting it. This page covers a full list of all the Paintings found in Elden Ring, including their location, solution, and rewards.

Had all these paintings for ages...never knew about any of this o.O
Easy way to get some new stuff at least ...

For me, the best reward is that after finding these locations I can make 4k screenshots to print them out and hang on my walls. This painting hunt is really one of the coolest ideas in this game.

Really wish there were more of these, very fun idea to find the painting and go on the hunt for the locations.

Man, trying to locate these vistas after a certain late-game story event adds a significant layer of difficulty. I highly advise against saving this activity for last.

I think this is their way of making you appreciate the map a bit more lol, worked on me because it was kinda fun just figuring them out

I wish there was some kind of achievement to state when you've gotten them all to, just to be sure, but great info. Thanks!

I honestly love this mechanic. Some of them are pretty easy to solve, while others are very difficult. Most of the rewards are not super useful, but the journey is fun.

Not gonna lie, these painting puzzle rewards leave a lot to be desired. The trouble of hunting down the locations is straight up no worth the rewards.

Yo.. just a suggestion for the dumb people, like me, here. Please clarify “Champion’s Song Painting” directions to say something like “Rampartside Path (NOT Shaded Castle Ramparts) Site of Grace. I saw Shaded Castle and then look to the right and see Rampartside and so I warped to The Shaded Castle Ramparts.. I realize it should be obvious but, you know, me big dumb.

Anyone else think the names of the Prophecy and Flightless Bird paintings were somehow mixed up ingame? The former leads you to a literal bird with wounded wings, and the latter leads you to a spell with a quote from a prophet that predicted the burning of the Erdtree.
Church of Pilgrimage is hardly even in the same region as Stormveil. It’s in the northern tip of Weeping Peninsula.

note for anyone not finding the painters, make sure you have examined the painting in question (check it in your inventory, if you have not it will prompt you)

Came here to see where the painting rewards are, only to find out that I've already looted almost all of them by just exploring the open world. I didn't realize the items spawned there due to the painting. They should've made it so that you get some sort of notification when you collect painting-exclusive loot, so you know to cross one off the list.

The reward from the Redmane Painting is really cool for archer builds, works really well on large mobs (dragons, avatars, putrid tree spirits etc), and is much cheaper to manage on bows instead of greatbows (works well on a Horned Bow with Dwelling Arrows). The Harp Bow is also the lightest bow in game, ideal for aiming those long spells before you are in 'lock on' range.

Some of these directions need clarification. Example: "Prophecy" is listed as 'behind the church of pilgrimage '. Couldn't mention in which direction or about how far from church or minor details like that?

Is it possible to get the loot without finding the painting? I mean, get to the exact location and disturb the spirit - or do you have to activate them by finding the painting first?

really really cool, loved racking my brain for where to find these locations

Scavenger hunts are fun, they should implement a bunch more alongside what one would assume to be imminent downloadable content.

yeah bothering to try to do the paintings is mostly a wasted endeavor

QOL improvement could be marking them in inventory when you find them. I guess there aren’t so many of them, really, but a couple i couldn't remember I’d found already.

It's a shame you barely get anything worthwhile for doing these. Neat idea, poor execution.

The location they show for the Champions Song painting ghost is way off looking at the chart. Click on the actual painting itself then it shows you the actual location to find the ghost.
