Who's the better Damage over time status effect now Scarlet Rot? How does it feel to be an inferior version of this? Not good huh.

I like using this item a lot for my poisoner assasin build. This thing isn't very effective if used in the middle of combat because the animation takes a long time to get going, so I usually just use it when undetected to poison a group of enemies before facing them.
Bad thing being, if they're too far from you, the poison won't proc the Kindred of Rot's Exultation Talisman and you won't be able to poison them again in quite a bit of time (30 seconds, give or take).
So you either have to measure your distance from them very carefully to still trigger it, or simply use the mist at your feet after aggroing them to lure them into the cloud. Still better than Poison Mist, though

This poison is the strongest poison in the game.
Its like x3 stronger than the regular poison.
And its even stronger than the fetid poison pot, the venomous fang claws, and the serpentbone blade katana.
This item does no damage on application so you can use this item while in stealth and sneak away without the target noticing you and also use it on sleeping targets without waiting them up so the target dies in their sleep.

I don't know how this compares to poison mist, but I tried it on the first revenant in sainted hero's grave, killed it with three (casts?) of this, it also seemed to die faster than I would have expected from poison mist, but I don't know if they are the exact same poison and the revenant is just super vulnerable to poison in general.

Checking data on Yapped:
Lasts 30 seconds
Deals 2.1% max hp damage and 21 base flat damage
Has base of 26 poison build up per tick (For reference the Poison Mist incantation has a base poison build up of 10)

Based on the data, despite the item description never mentioned anything about deadly poison. Poison Spraymist's tick is more aligned to deadly poison. Just like the deadly poison, it lasts only 30 seconds. Tick 0.2% Max health and 21 points of damage per tick per second.
Total damage 6% Max health and 630 points damage.

It's also worth mentioning, I feel, that the cloud from this can be placed at medium range. Using the spraymist will cause noise, however it will NOT deal direct damage or inherently cause an enemy to detect or aggro you. This means you can use it while stealthing with stuff like Assassin's Gambit or Unseen Form, and as long as you quickly crouch after using the item, enemies may not detect you. Additionally, if an enemy isn't aggroed to you, you can pop this to land some extra DPS before making other attacks that WILL cause an aggro shift.
With some brief testing, this appears to scale somewhat with the target's MaxHP like Scarlet Rot, and at minimum will do 21 damage per tick. Against turtles, birds, and the guard just ESE of the Gatefront grace in Limgrave, it did 21 per tick. Against the spear wielding knight just down the stairs next to Rampart Tower in Stormveil, it did 22 per tick. Against the giant to the NE of Stormhill Shack grace it did 25 per tick.

Currently the highest "per tick" poison I've found in game. Ticks at 25 apiece for a total of 775
This does 111 per tick on second phase fire giant
