Poisoned Stone is a Consumable Item in Elden Ring. Most Consumables grant various effects such as restorative properties for recovering HP, removing certain negative status effects or applying temporary buffs and debuffs, while others can be thrown at enemies to deal damage.
A small stone with a poisoned core.
Throw at enemies to cause buildup of poison.
Miners employ these stones as tools for pest extermination, but have long forgotten how to craft them.

I did some messing around and I feel this item is in a unusual position, especially when compared to its consumable competition (playtested using the Limgrave Troll near the Beastial Sanctum Teleporter).
The Poisoned stone does a slow throw that applies a decent amount of poison (3 hits to poison).
However, Poisoned Darts is better if you want a quick source of poison because the darts gets thrown out MUCH faster, with only a little less poison buildup in comparison (4 hits to poison).
Also, Poisoned Clumped Stone, which throws 5 stones in a cluster, is WAY better if you desire instantaneous poison because you can shotgun the volley with similar throw speeds (1 hit to poison if the entire volley hits).
Overall, the Poisoned Stone is like the middle child that gets overshadowed by its younger and older siblings; whatever it does, the other two does better. Don't bother using it.

Not good from what I can tell. Poison buildup seems a bit higher than that of poisonbone darts (e.g. 3 of these to proc poison vs 4 darts, tested on the giant near Secluded Cell in Stormveil). However, the darts are so much quicker to throw that they proc faster. I think the darts also fly faster and have greater range.

slow to throw and doesn't seem to have any kind of aoe where it lands. So overall a pretty terrible item.

Despite the "A" scaling, does only about 79 damage with 80 str. MUCH lower than explosive stone or craftable firebombs

Purchasable from a Nomadic Merchant, short distance east of Grace "Astray from Caelid Highway North". 150 runes. Scaling A/C/-/-/C.
Hmmm...DS2's poison stone description implies some sorcerers made it then forgot how to. Kinda like Elden ring's...
