Tried this on the Godskin Noble in the Temple of Eiglay. He got so excited that he ran up to me as quick as he could and thrusted his sword right into me.

Has anyone tried using this on the Bloody Finger Hunter Yura, especially when he's taken over by Shabriri? His armor set alludes to a possible lost lover.

Might be worth trying with the Unalloyed Gold Needle in inventory, too.

Prattling Pate My Beloved map location is a bit off (a little to far to the west). I found it to be close to -49.15641 : 148.25719

The feeling of dying/killing a boss but then being summoned back to the same host, and they use this pate. (It's so good)

When you use this on Milicent at teh end of her quest her protective golden barrier activates. Can that mean it does damage but a very tiny amount?
Also Malenia has this thing where if she is critically hit and it would trigger phase 2 taht would actually leave her at 1 health instead of trigger the phase change.
If this trully deals damage would it do anything different whn used on Melania at 1 health? She suposedly has some code calling teh tarnished beloved or some such berried in the code of the game....
This is obviously clear speculation like my last comment about Miquella's Lily and Bewitching Branch...

For some reason I have the suspicion you have to use this together with "You are Beautiful".
Might have something to do with the statues of a mother holding a child, not a "love interest". The word beloved pops up in the description of Miquella's Lily, and also Renalla. Don't know why it says love is fickle though....
Also the location of the item - MIQUELLA'S HALIGTREE and the description of the Miquella's Lily might have some connection. Perhaps somethign to do wiht Malenia?
Wild idea Miquella's Lily is used to make Bewitching Branch, which gets foes to become friends... And you get the crafting recepy when you find teh location of Miquella.... So anyone tryed to use a Bewitching Branch, My beloved and You are Beautiful on Malenia?

I used my beloved on millicent after the 4 sisters fight and a gold aura surrounds her for a few seconds but nothing happened after that

- Blaidd when he's outside Ranni's Tower.
- millicent at the prayer room, as well as during and after the 4 sisters fight.
- ranni before and after completing her questline
- Phillia the Albinauric before and after completing Latenna's questline
- Nepheli at godrick's throne
- Tanith before and after giving her Dancer's Castanets

Vague theory but since it is found on the haligtree, maybe it was tied to the cut content with Malenia where in a dialogue she refers to the player as "sweet tarnished, dearest companion..."

When Renalla drops her Amber egg, she crawls towards it and calls it "My beloved" - which I'm assuming could mean that it has to do with Renalla or Ranni. Just a guess.

With "You're beautiful" works on Boc this one might have some use elsewhere too. It's the only other prattling pate with an extra flavor text I think.

Before Ranni leaves, she tells you to let Iji & Blaidd know that she loves them — but there's no dialogue option to allow for that. This "My Beloved" seems to have the potential to create a path for one, much like how the "You're Beautiful" one does that for Boc, because they were that to her.

You'd also be able to easily use this on Iji, since he's just hanging out at his anvil. Whether or not you'd be able to do that BEFORE whatever triggers the event with him sending assassin's after Blaidd is questionable. I assume you could try it in multiple points during NG+ though.

Even when Blaidd loses his mind, he has dialogue doubting what's happening and if you only enter the area starting from Ranni's Rise, you can approach him from behind. Blaidd won't start attacking without seeing you first, so you could potentially try using this on Blaidd even after that event happens, since it seems to be the sort of thing he needs to hear and is also what Ranni wanted you to tell him.

No idea of that'd work, but for quests like the one with Boc that have one of your companions encountering a tragedy that can be side-stepped, it seems possible that this might be one of them.

Feels like there's a theme with these, the You're Beautiful pate reminds Boc of his dead mother and, as the only other pate with unique item text, perhaps this one reminds another NPC of a deceased lover. There's a few candidates for that, though, and I'm not sure when in their quests this would be relevant. Initially I'm thinking the guy whose servant dies and he swears revenge for; there seems to be something more to their relationship, and currently he just goes missing after Volcano Manor.

May test on NG+, unless it's found before then.

I have a feeling this one has a use like the "You're beautiful" one, that and this one are the only ones with a unique description. "Unconditional love. Unrestrained assurance. It must have been a mother speaking." And "Expressions of love are among the most fickle."
