Pulley Crossbow is a Crossbow in Elden Ring. The Pulley Crossbow does not scale with any stat attributes, but requires Strength and Dexterity. It is a good Weapon for those users who prefer to fight their battles from afar. The Crossbow Pulley ability allows players to push Enemies back with a high kick.
The Pulley Crossbow fires three bolts with one press of the trigger, with a slight spread between bolts.
Crossbow made with pulleys and power springs. The complex mechanism, which required advanced mathematical and mechanical understanding to craft, was likely made by a certain genius who learned Golden Order fundamentalism.
One touch fires a volley of bolts. Be warned; large stores of bolts can be quickly spent.
Where to Find Pulley Crossbow in Elden Ring
The Pulley Crossbow weapon can be found at the following location:
- Found next to the Site of Grace at the Craftsman's Shack. [Elden Ring Map here]
Elden Ring Pulley Crossbow Notes & Tips
- Weapon Skill: Kick
- This weapon fires its bolts with an unusually large upward pitch (tilt). When aiming at mid-range, players should aim lower than usual, aiming at humanoid enemies' chests to land headshots
- Due to the this weapon's reliance on multiplicity of shots over a single, powerful shot, landing headshots against low-pose creatures, especially those upright (humanoids etc.), it is often extremely difficult to land all the weapon's shots against the enemy's head, due to their flinch and hurt animations.
- This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War.
- Pulley Crossbow can be upgraded by using Somber Smithing Stones
- Sell Value:
100
- Due to a bug, when used 1-handed in offhand, this weapon applies any elemental/status buff (spell buff, weapon skill buff, grease) from mainhand weapon.
(Fixed in patch 1.05).

This crossbow un-upgraded can often hit foes from afar and not aggro them do to doing 0 damage; use this to your advantage by freely applying a status effect. Works well on the FGFSB in Mt. Gelmir, just shoot a few barrages then ride off after the status procs the aggro.

This doesn't have the longest range, or the highest damage, it's also horribly inaccurate and chews through bolts like crazy, but I'll be damned if this isn't one of the most fun to use weapons in the game

Put this in left hand because there put the bow
And maaaaan
Feels like Bloodborne when stop the enemy animation of a skill or atack then slash with pizza cutter xD

Hopefully they fix the bug with this taking on the status of your main weapon.

So we are now at the stage in elden rings life cycle where everyone uses sleep bolts to counter the other broken bugs in the game.

Without bugs, bleed bolt makes you kill things you'd otherwise barely tickle.

It’s a no stat weapon that any build can enjoy. Using a str build. Pump some 3 shot burst frost to freeze, then come in. Or some bleed bolt, really strong status application. Reloading is way faster than I thought it would be.

A versatile crossbow used in a number of ways, both legit and unintended. With an Eclipse Shotel mainhand, an offhand Pulley Crossbow will apply Deathblight. With Bleed/Rot/Poison bolts, it will apply those statuses amazingly fast. With explosive bolts, it makes a good roll-catcher. Commonly used offhand with Sleep Bolts to put someone to sleep and then Lion's Claw/Giant Hunt them, although I'm trying to personally make it work with mainhand pulley and offhand One-Eyed Greatshield -- will let you know.

For whatever reason I couldn't get the blood flame to work on it

I really wish they just let us infuse ranged weapons. It feels bad when exploiting is the only way to get a faith crossbow.

Burred bolts, Seppuku, Pulley Crossbow, Turns this thing into the equivalent of being shot by an Uzi

Really cool weapon, just sucks that the only time you'll ever see it in pvp is to cheesily apply status effects.

Perfect for finishing off bosses from a safe distance. Feels totally badass racking it after the kill, too.

not sure how, put someone one shot me with this thing in a duel. 120 1826 HP. really unsure

Absolutely excellent weapon; I use it on every one of my characters. It excels in applying status effects, and poison, bleed, and frost bolts are relatively painless to acquire. Put it in your off-hand and you've got a solid backup ranged weapon.

O blessed dragonslayer. you have let me slay vile lizards and fire giants at ranges the camera doesn't suck at so many times. You are not always good. But when you're good, you're great.

Lore wise can someone explain if the inventor is someone we know? Like Goldmask? Or just some nobody

Mimic Tear + Pulley Crossbow + infinite sleep bolts = easy Godskin Duo

If you infuse your right hand weapon with bloodflame, the bolts will also deal bloodflame effect :)
Do sleep bolts cause less buildup in this?
I just put a boss to sleep with like 10 sleepbone arrows. But I tried again with the pulley crossbow, and I fired 99 sleepbone bolts, at least 90 hit, and he didn't fall asleep

I guess this is the closest thing to a glock for my Isshin cosplay.

This weapon pairs incredibly well with the dragon halberd's lightning buff.

It feels so good finishing off jump attack and moonveil spammers with this. Burred bolts are expensive and hard to get but worth every rune. And it's not crazy on the stat investment side either. Just equip radagons soreseal and call it a day.

Extremely good at shutting out Dragon Breath Spammers in PvP, run it with Bloodbolts and Explosives
Explode for stun and roll catch, Bleed to stuff whiffs
A Melee Arcane Build's best friend

If you don't upgrade this, the damage drop off is very early, allowing to shoot some foes without them aggro-ing. Used this with Rot Bolts to get Rot on the FGFSB without it targeting me until after it kicked in.

Really good with bleed bolts vs bosses, especially useful during malenia's huge flower move. The bleed bolts are easy to get too since they come in an unlimited amount for the merchant in mogwyns palace.

Benefits from buffs applied to a melee weapon if you're wielding the cross bow in your left hand. Things like Greases and spells make it one of the scarier non-magic ranged tools. For reference: The giant right outside of the 3rd Church of Marika bled with just one volley of bleed bolts combined with Bloodflame Blade.
When testing it on a friend, they said it built up about 90%.
Speaking of, this tool inherited the ol' "shoot at your feet with explosive bolts" strategy from the Avelyn. You can buy infinite explosive bolts from a merchant NPC at Mt. Gelmir and they can be extremely potent at harassing aggressors in PvP, and is an excellent tool for catching rolls. Recommended if you're looking for an area of denial tool and aren't spec'd into magic.

Are the damage values given here per shot or per 3 bolt burst?
- Anonymous
Are there any penalties to status effect with this weapon? If not, then it seems like great tool for all those poison, rot and bleed bolts.

If this is in your off hand it benefits from the Seppuku buff if you've got bleed bolts. Don't know if this is an intended interaction, but it's absolutely brutal.
- Anonymous
Can confirm this weapon hits like a truck at +10 if all 3 bolts hit, slightly less than the regular ballista but with a much faster firing rate, reload and without two handing, also more ammo because you can only fire 20 greatbolts with ballistas.
- Anonymous
while its base damage may look similar to the arbalast and the heavy crossbow, its upgraded with somber stones, so it'll deal less damage later in the game vs. early on when the two others can go up to +25 while this is only +10

Do you think it is possible to power stance with two of these?

think i might have sold this earlier in my playthrough, anyone know if it drops from any enemies?

If this is anything like the one used by the soldier under east capital rampart then its the most powerful thing in the game. Ive fought dragons and demons and trolls but nothing has ever killed me as many times as this one lowly soldier who hits for 2k damage a shot.

Spawn at mount gelmir ( seethewater terminal near fort laiedd then run all the way around the volcano ( you will know you are in the right direction if you pass the fire dragon keep going all the way to the bottom past the hermit shack
Conveniently located right next to the best spot to farm thin beast bones in the game, so you can craft the six billion bolts you'll need

Really fun to use if you're willing to sell your kidneys for more bolts and somber stones
