Creates golden ring of light to attack wide area
![]() |
Radagon's Rings of Light is an Incantation in Elden Ring. Radagon's Rings of Light spell deals damage in a large AoE. Updated to Patch 1.07.
One of the incantations of the Golden Order fundamentalists.
A gift of gratitude to the young Miquella from his father,
Radagon.
Produces a golden ring of light and fires it across a wide area.
Charging enhances range.
And yet, the young Miquella abandoned fundamentalism, for it
could do nothing to treat Malenia's accursed rot. This was the
beginning of unalloyed gold.

I reall like the appeal of the golden order spells but this one in particular needs a cast speed buff. It hits very hard but is way too slow to be viable imo. You need a lot of poise to make it work, which is quite a big ask on a build that needs to pour levels so heavily into two stats for damage. Radagons icon only helps to dish out the uncharged spell right when you get hit and staggered out of the animation if you time it correctly. Most of the time the trade isn't worth it tho.

Even when you have maximum dex for cast speed this spell is still ridiculously long to cast. I have not found a time in PvE where Discus of Light isn't just better.
- Anonymous
All the people who complain about this and other golden order incantations needing INT clearly didn't put points into INT IRL either.
- Anonymous
Pair with endure so people can't interrupt you casting this.
- Anonymous
A spell created by Radagon being affected by the Godfrey icon. Ironic.
- Anonymous
It can also go through walls to some extent, great for corner checking enemies that like to ambush you
- Anonymous
Exceptional synergy with wrath of gold in pvp. If someone gets staggered but not knocked down by the uncharged ring, hit wrath of gold. Then uncharged radagons rings again. If someone gets knocked down by wrath of gold or radagons rings, use another radagons ring: uncharged at close range, fully charged if they’re gonna panic roll away. And then hit wrath of gold again if it misses and they try to punish radagons rings.

Lore implications? Miquella gifts his father rings that return but radagon gifts Miquella rings that don’t return... maybe Radagon was showing Miquella “the right way” according to the golden order but Miquella was onto a new way that’s better.

The equivalent of the "F*** you" incantation.
Step 1: equip Golden Order Seal, heavy armor (for poise), Radagon's Icon, Sacred Scorpion Charm, Flock's Canvas, and Godfrey Icon
Step 2: use Golden Vow for buff and wondrous physick with Holy cracked tear and whatever else
Step 3: *KABOOM*

Do these spells increase dmg with int and faith or do u just pump faith after int?
- Anonymous
cool attack though I will never like something that has both Faith and Intelligence requirements
Honestly, this is underrated as hell for killing bosses in range. Huge area, undodgable, chargable, solid damage, could be boosted by Radiant Gold Mask, Golden Order Seal, etc.
Works against any boss except Elden Beast, even against Radagon.
The only problem of this spell is cast time, it is sooooo big

“Chargeable”
Standing still like a doofus with your arms wide m charging this is going to get you thumped hard or swarmed.
- Anonymous
This is a situational incantation, and I wouldn't use this over golden land with blackflame blade against the last two death rite birds or instead of Therolina against those revenants at Elphael. But this incantation is exceptionally good for killing basilisks. One at a time or the whole pack in one cast, timed right it blows them away before they can exhale their deathblight.

I'm NOT a fan of incantations having an INT requirement like this incantation, triple rings of light, law of causality, and law of regression all have. I don't buy into the idea some players are selling about it making sense lore wise. I couldn't possibly give less f**ks about the lore. Restricting these incantations to hybrid casters is bad from a game-play point of and bad from a pissing players off point of view.

the knock back on this spell is so goofy, it just throws around smaller enemies
- Anonymous
it is so funny to catch people's jump attacks with this one. "im sorry sir, Im too busy Tposing to take damage."

I found a pretty nice use for this spell -- if you stand between the legs of a mausoleum and cast it, several of skull deposits at once. You can knock a mausoleum down in 3 casts.

Based on the icon I thought it was like litany of proper death but with a cone of holy instead of a little ripple.

When I first heard the name I hoped it was Radagons attack where he thrusts a lightspear into the ground and it explodes and this holy circle which damages you with many ticks appears

The only way I can describe this spell is deceptive, in a good way. It's reach is deceptively long, and it's damage is deceptively high. You get a lot of bang for your buck at only 25FP. The only real problem is the cast time (you get no hyper armor during this), but you can neutralize that with radagon's icon. Pretty solid in both PVE and PVP.
- Anonymous
I tend to land this a lot on PvP as a follow-up to Triple Rings of Light. They either tend to rush you and get hit by the charged version or try to focus on the TRoL and don't expect this thing's range to be so good.

a high end, late game incantation suddenly needing 31 INT before you can even pick it up is a dumbass design decision, cos everyone who has put levels into FTH, you know...so they can use incantations in the first place, will have 31 INT as well just in case From Software decide to take the piss and lock incantations behind a high INT level later on.

This spell is one that you have to use intelligently, much like the other golden order incantations. You use this immediately after triple rings on an opponent closing in or under the protection of magic flint blade and/or glintstone phalanx. Charge it up and the range will surprise passive players hovering nearby. This knocks people down and does very good damage. A lot of people saying it needs poise need to just use wrath of gold. If it had poise there would be no way for melee builds to pressure at all. Use wrath of gold for its purpose of close quarters dirty fighting and use this for its purpose of hitting a wider area while stacking with other spells or incantations. This requires intelligence to cast and real life intelligence to use.

Sadly, this missed out on the poise upgrade a lot of incantations got, so it's one of the least appealing crowd control options now. Its low cost and good damage make it good for surprise attacking clumped enemies, but it's hard to fit it in to actual combat compared to other options like Lansseax's Glaive or Glintstone Arc that either have hyperarmor or cast so fast they don't need it. Considering how much stat allotment it needs, it really should either have good poise, more range, or more speed.

Idk if this is special to this incantation, but when I use it behind on large enemies (trolls), it NEVER aggros them, and i can spam the rings of light till it dies..
- Anonymous
this is a very satisfying PvE spell, and the charged version is good for farming albinuriacs at mohgs
- Anonymous
The problem with the ring spells is the lack of any poise while casting.
Rings of Light and Triple Rings of Light work better because they can travel distance.
This has a pretty slow windup and I find myself struggling to find a good distance timing for this. Bosses can rush in too fast and punish too hard yo use this.
I like the increase in damage though, at least it has that!
- Anonymous
Nobody expects this if you cast in behind black flame ritual and the huge aoe often catch them
- Anonymous
What damage type does this do??? I wish that people would label the damage types for all of theses spells. Spells like these don't make it obvious of what damage type it is suppose to produce.

As of 1.04 the danage numbers have gone up. (Fully charged) I was seeing the night before 1200~ on some death frogs as surprised attacks and 900~ as they were attacking me
and now is 1700~ surprise attacks and 1200~ as they were attacking me so around 30% damage buff. Also feels faster. Still slow but for its range the speed is letting me hit things before trading now

"It could do nothing to treat Malenia's accursed rot" literally some book in a chair: Cures anything, including rot, and the build-up, plus reveals mimicry.
From what I can see it's a high risk, high reward spell. Very nice damage but difficult to land; no hyper armour.
- Anonymous
if you actually build properly this spell is incredible, hits for 2.3k+ per charged hit and arguably the largest AOE in the game(besides maybe scarlet aeonia but who wants to spend 7 seconds casting and getting bashed on lol)
- Anonymous
Super low range and no hyper armor makes this way too hard to actually use in combat
- Anonymous
Too slow to be really useful, the ring spells need a buff would love if the throwing had some kind of tracking like Xena warrior princess levels.
- Anonymous
This spell does chunks if you're doing a faith/int build with the Golden Order seal. With the Radiant Gold Mask, Sacred Scorpion charm, and Godfrey's icon, this spell becomes a tactical AOE nuke. Additionally, the fully charged spell has huge knocks over enemies. Kind of impractical in PvP, but still very effective in PvE, and very fun to use.
- Anonymous
This thing needs some degree of hyper armor or a modicum of poise because even with Radagon icon and decent dex it takes forever to cast this thing. Decent damage and range tho
- Anonymous
The image for the spell list page has Litany of Proper Death over this spell (mobile)
- Anonymous
Huge range, tons of damage, even when not fully charged. It's a shame it doesn't have the same anti-Death effect as Litany of Proper Death, though that probably would've made it a little too strong

The perfect spell for farming the albinaurics at Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint
Using the sword of night and flame motivated me to make a hybrid build of Int and Faith, and this spell is absolutely perfect for it. Not just in PVE but also in PVP as a sort of pseudo-wrath of gods tool for aggressive players.
- Anonymous
The charge-up with 40 dex and the radagon icon is a little slower than I'd like, but this spell absolutely tears through mobs.
I was seeing damage numbers of 1800 un-charged and 2200 fully charged with 35 int/40 faith, a +10 golden order seal, holy talisman damage, and the basic faith scaling talisman.
- Anonymous
This is a good spell due to the massive range the ring got, but sadly the Int/Faith requirement are going to cripple you in this game.
A couple (not all) order spells feel like they want to be DS2/3 Hexes, and there is a talisman that does help with the sorta Int/Faith spread you would do in those games (as well as boosts Order type spells, on top). However, the biggest drawback is that no Holy Damage on any weapon scales with Int/Faith like Dark damage did, nor are all Order type spells even Int/Faith to begin with. There is one weapon that scales with both Int and Faith, but that's because it deals Magic and Fire damage.
If there would be a type of infusion (Like an "Order" infusion dealing Holy damage which scales with both Int/Faith) and about 1 or 2 more weapons (like some of all those Order weapons) that scale with both Int and Faith, these Order type spells would find more proper use, especially since all of them feel more like additives for weapon combat and some of those already very few Order spells are... of questionable usefulness.

FIX THE IMAGE, i killed the cleric at the end of the game cause i tought that i have forgot to buy this lol

at the guy below me: no spells/incantations scale with anything. its entirely based on the tool you use to cast them and what it scales with.

This properly damages non-undead as well. If charged, the area of effect is huge by the way. Think 5 or 6 rolls in distance.
The charged version is fine in PvE, the range is significantly better than a charged Wrath of Gold while still dealing comparable damage and knockdown and the cast time isn't that much longer. The uncharged version really needs to be speed up though since it already lacks the knockdown effect of Wrath. I don't think the low FP cost is enough of an advantage on its own, Discus of Light is still really good even before you take into account the cost.
