Raging Wolf Armor is a Chest Armor in Elden Ring. Raging Wolf Armor is an armor piece worn over or around the player's torso to obtain an increase of defense and resistance. It also changes the appearance as well when it is equipped. Some armor pieces may be available to both genders but may be slightly different for male and female characters.
Armor worn by Vargram the Raging Wolf, one of the first Tarnished to visit the Roundtable Hold.
According to the old legends, wolves are the shadows of the Empyrean.
Vargram aspired to such a state himself.

the armor, even when altered, stifles the new long hairstyle that was patched in the game for the dlc ruining any potential for fashion i had, gg fromsoft

I tend to prefer armor without capes, but this is an exception. The breastplate is very barrel-shaped, and the way the pauldrons cover the shoulders, as well as the size of the couters makes the upper arms look small. The cape obscures the weird proportions and gives a more complete appearance; only downside is that it's slightly more boring to look at from behind.

Not really a lore theory, just an observation but, has anyone else noticed this?
The set is the canon armor set in all the trailers, strongly linking it to the protagonist, and the description says that Vagram wanted to be an Empyrean's shadow.
Melina, the player's companion, is heavily implied to be the Gloam-Eyed Queen, and Vagram wields the Godslayer Greatsword, so was he trying to become Melina's shadow?

I love how it looks without the cape, but I also love the cape. Oh, the dualities of fashion...
I can't edit this page for some reason, missing a note saying "Can be altered to Raging Wolf Armor (Altered)" linking it to the altered version.

Aspired to be the shadow of an Empyrean and wields the Godslayer- did Vargram want to serve the Gloam-Eyed Queen?

Second to last letter? Also known as the second letter? So if you do the third letter you cant get this armor? The first time I got it I didn't even join volcano manor. So I don't think you need any volcano manor quest activity to get this.

I finished the volcano manor questline but I never got this. How come?

This entire set is part of a Volcano Manor sidequest. The Queen(?) asks you to defeat NPC invaders(you are the invader attacking them). Vargram the Raging Wolf is the last NPC you invade and kill and he drops the set.

you get the set from volcano manor questline through a pvp invasion, but it's in Leyndell

quite drippy with the white mask and i swap to commoner's headband if I'm cavorting about with the npcs: creates a sort of really long wimple look.
