Chest Armor Wgt. 7.7

Raptor's Black Feathers is a Chest Armor in Elden Ring. Raptor's Black Feathers is part of the Raptor's Set Armor Set, and is a light-medium armor that offers a slight upgrade to Bandit's Garb, as well as sharing its appearance with the added cloak. Additionally it strengthens jump attacks of the wearer. Raptor's Black Feathers is an armor piece worn over or around the player's torso to obtain an increase of defense and resistance. It also changes the appearance as well when it is equipped. Some armor pieces may be available to both genders but may be slightly different for male and female characters.

Robe crafted with the black feathers of a bird of prey. Worn by the assassins of Ravenmount.

A ritual implement for transforming into a Deathbird, if only by imitation.
Strengthens jump attacks.

"We are birds of prey, bringers of death."

There needs to be a negative like 10% reduction in max HP to balance out what is a free buff. Its always your typical white mask meta slaves who rock this and its ugly.

I don't know but the interactive map is completely unusable on mobile. It's just a blob map markers and you can barely move the map around try to do anything and it freezes up. Total garbage. Can't you just say "found in the altus platue" ?

          • Anonymous

Love how they went above and beyond in this game and instead of making this an unaltered bandit torso piece, it's just two different iterations of the same armor... neither can be altered.

            10/10 masterpiece.

            • Anonymous

I wouldn't mind this armor if it wasn't always paired with super heavy armors. It just looks so horrendously ugly with bullgoats or Lionel's armor.

              • Anonymous

Looks cool with bandit manchettes and either sorcerer legwraps/battlemage legwraps. Become the ragged unhinged bringer of death.

                • Anonymous

Pretty much any melee build can make use of this, even though it's resistances are kinda low it's low weight makes up for it, so you can put on heavier armour in other regions, balance out your resistances with what they should normally be for your equip load and still end up with the +10% on jump attacks, and if you're wearing this, well why not put on the claw tali and go the whole way with powerstancing...

                  • Anonymous

does this effect superior dragon incantations on either a normal cast or a jump cast? as they can be cast in mid air after jumping

You pair this chest piece with a white mask and dual wield bleed godskin peelers, then use claw mark talisman, lord of bloods exultation, rotten sword insignia and seppuku aow you one shot nearly anyone in pvp with a single l1

                      • Anonymous

I've found that this armor looks nice with the cleanrot gauntlets since they go up high enough to cover your arms until the cape starts :)

                        • Anonymous

This is likely the best piece of armor in the game. Jumping attacks are fantastic in ER and given how most armor is lackluster anyway (due primarily to poise not being very effective in PVE), having a free mini Claw Talisman far outweighs the benefits of more defensively oriented armor. You can still get over 61 poise for PVP by using pieces from Veteran's or Lionel's set for the other 3 pieces and equipping the Bull-Goat Talisman. This is subjective but I think this armor also looks pretty nice, so all in all it's really the most standout piece of chest armor (and really all armor in general), and it will benefit the vast majority of builds.

                          • Jump attack L1 with 2 powerstanced Vyke's War Spear +4 :
                            286 damage with
                            252 damage without

                            Jump attack L1 with 2 powerstanced Lordsworn's Straight Sword +0 :
                            168 with
                            151 without

In these both cases it gives +12%
For me, a definitely very interesting item

I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. can anyone recommend a helm that has good stats, but also doesn't look too silly/out of place when combined with this?

I love the look of the cape on this I just hate that the shirt is the same as the Bandit Chest Piece, would've been nice if they maybe made it more of an homage to Eileen or at least just made it a unqiue Chest Piece, at least the different soldier sets have different metal qualities

For anyone who wants to wear some heavy armor with this piece while still looking good:
Blaidd's Set is the heaviest armor set that i could find where the gauntlets are long enough to hide your bare arms under the cloak. The muted color of Blaidd's set also goes surprisingly well with armor.

I love how forcefully confusing every explanation of anything in this game is; "This enhances jumping attacks.", "It does nothing when I perform jumping light attacks.", "Jumping light attacks are not jumping attacks."; why can't they just say "Enhances jumping heavy attacks" then?

Since the other comments are dissapointedly lacking in whats really important (Elden Bling):

Somehow better color match with a plain Black Hood. For gloves and greaves, Carian Knight is surprisingly a good fit. Same shades of brown/black for leather, gemstones fit the blueish accents and the overall design of the decorations is close enough to the medallion attached to the cape. This also gives you some light armor plates on the legs and one metal gauntlet on left arm. Overall, good fit.

Another options are sorceror manchettes or scaled greaves if you want to go heavier. Have yet to find another gloves that would fit the shade of metal the greaves use, so if you have any good combos, give me a shout in the comments.

whyyyyy doesnt it effect bows? this and the fact that nothing a bow does counts as a "charge shot" seems like a bug

I dont understand their design choice with this. The only cool thing about this armor is Eileen's crowfeather cape. Like why did they put the bandit garb underneath? It looks like crap. Just give us Eileen's coat or the Bloody Crow's coat.

This doesn't work with radahns duel swords light attack while your duel wielding. Works for heavies while duel wielding tho. Kinda weird

                                              • Anonymous

using this with claw talisman on a double greatsword build, plus buffing with golden vow + flame grant me strength allows you to really scale up damage per jump attack. 12% + 20% = 32% boost to AR on each greatsword from buffs (34% if they stack multiplicatively instead of additively), and then 10% + 15% = 25% extra damage on top of that when you jump attack. So overall 65% increase in damage (1.32*1.25=1.65). Each of my greatswords is about 750 AR unbuffed so ends up being ~2500 damage per jump attack

                                                • Anonymous

The only problem is that with claw talisman now all I do is jumping R2s and it seems dumb to do anything else!

                                                  • Anonymous

Without this on I did 691, with it on I did 757. So a 9.55% damage increase, probably fair enough to just call it 10%. My double scythe jump attack build just got even better :)

                                                    • Anonymous

Seems to be around 4% for the boost, but that was testing on a wolf in caria manor with jumping r1's. 368 with, vs 355 without
