Where to find Redmane Knight Ogha

Where to Find Redmane Knight Ogha

  • Dropped by the Putrid Tree Spirit in the War-Dead Catacombs located in eastern Caelid. To find the entrance of the catacombs, travel to the site of grace that appears after defeating Starscourge Radahn and proceed to head north by north east until you have reached the upper most corner of the area, where the watershore meets the cliffside. You'll be able to see the small door along the cliffside. [Map Link]

Elden Ring Redmane Knight Ogha Guide

  • If the player uses the War Cry skill, he will roar in response, gain a temporary damage buff, and then fire a rain of arrows that travels in a line. They will only use this rain of arrows attack once per summon period. However, the player can use the War Cry skill again at any time to have him roar in response and gain a temporary damage buff (provided the buff is not currently active). This ability is also triggered by using the skills Barbaric Roar, Braggart's Roar, Beast's Roar, Troll's Roar, and Shriek of Milos.
  • Unlike most spirit ashes, Ogha does not follow you around after being summoned. He will instead patrol in a small area around his point of summoning. He can be made to move out of his patrol zone, if an enemy gets close enough to cause him to switch out his greatbow for a sword and pursue them. If his target then dies, the area he immediately occupies will become his new patrol zone. Given this peculiar trait, he is better used for boss fights and not as an escort through a zone. He can be manually directed using thrown Cursed-Blood Pots either at the ground or enemies.
  • Ogha mostly fights using gravity magic charged greatbow shots, but will switch to normal greatbow shots and sword swings (including the Ash of War skill Lion's Claw) if an enemy draws close enough.
  • Ogha will attack any enemies on sight, without the player needing to gain the enemy's aggression first.

Latenna for range and consistent damage while you keep aggro, Ogha for reliability and good burst damage if you run a war cry. Both good archer waifu's for different scenarios

That this guy loses track of the fire gigant on phase two makes him a ****ing joke, even more show carring a greatbow, what a waste of a cool summon.

        • Anonymous

The best part of using this, is when you won a boss fight, you use warcry and Ogha will scream also. The roar of victory.

Him and Finlay are definitely a thing.

Is what I would have said but we all know she’s getting the hard strong rage of a ballista bolt delivered by a cancer patients best friend.

This spirit help me beat Maliketh, something that both mimic and other player can't. He jump around so much that other spirit just can't do dmg to him and he just oneshot tanky melee spirit like they made out of paper bc of destined death, but chad ogha just change his sword to bow and shot Maliketh while he jumping around and change to melee when he in melee, with a shield ogha doesn't just got oneshot like other long range spirit too.

I wish that we had some Gelmir summons, we know they were cool dudes who even turned on Rykard when he started going insane.
The only real thing we get for them is the old knights set.

"Ogha"? Really? Some of the names in this game are really stupid, and sound like some caveman made them up; "Mohg", "Morgott", "Margit", "Ogha", "Oleg" — it's like someone named them after whatever their cough sounded like.

now only is he an absolute tank, and has both rain of suffering and lions claw but his stagger on Malenia nearly stun locks her for the whole fight turning it into joke.

                    • Ogha is quickly becoming my favorite. His bow has awesome range and stagger potential. Then he uses Lion's Claw when things get close...tons of health and armor, this Chad is a tank!

                      • Anonymous

the boss this guy excels at best is probably Loretta. it's the same thing that would happen in ds1 with quaalag, where shooting the human part stuns her. and ogha has some pin-point accuracy

                        • Anonymous

This is my favorite ash. Far from the strongest damage-wise, but he's tanky and provides ranged support. He's basically a tankier version of the Ancestral Spirit ash, except he trades Ancestral's ranged damage for a higher health pool and crowd control. His arrows can knock enemies off their feet, even some bosses like Malenia.

                          • Anonymous

Tried to use this one on Malenia, with no success, though it was fun.
Get past fog wall, hug the wall on the left, and summon him, as to make him stay hugging the same wall. At frist it seems to work, as this guy stays on the corner shooting what look like tree logs at her a$$ knockig her down every like 5 seconds. The problem is that its kind of difficult to reliable keep Malenia's aggro all the time on you, considering that at some point, for no clear reason, he get bored and decides to leave the corner and walk towards her. Eventually she will target him, and use him as living estus flask until he is dead.

I never used this much until recently, turned out to be very good for bunching enemies together either in a bottle neck or a crossfire where they can all be killed with one of the stronger AoE spells / incantations or in the case of blood-filled lake 'wave of gold'.
It was at the blood-filled lake that I first saw it happen, I'd summoned Ogha between the two white petrified tree trunks opposite the trunk that the albinaurics are walking around in circles and left him to it while I went for those that come up from the lake when you get near enough.
Two things were obvious right away, they had all bunched together in trying to get at Ogha but were getting knocked down over and over, and when they did get close enough for melee they were not able to get a quick easy kill, he was more than able to hold his own, using lion's claw and battering the little red bastards.
That's significant because just fighting two of them head on in a stand-up fight is dangerous, it can easily lead to a very quick death if you get stun-locked by two of them using the spiky spin attack and hitting one after the other, but Ogha wasn't going down to it. That wasn't a one off with RNGesus giving Ogah a break either, it's been like that consistently every time I summon him there.
Anyone who has access to Mohgwyn's palace and got Ogha's spirit ashes from wardead catacombs can try it to see, every other spirit summons you can think of that can tank hits absolutely will get killed in fairly short order trying to fight nine or ten or the red ones with no help from the player, Ogha is the only one I've ever seen able to do that.

I didn't know about the red eyes thing, the bloodhound knight Floh has them as well and I've only summoned it once at the blood-filled lake. Very aggressive when summoned and goes after the first thing it sees then just stays in the same spot.

This summon is amazing in boss rooms. However, in open world Ogha is dumb AF. Will shoot trees, ignore stuff that's fighting you. I'm trying to fight a dragon on a bridge right now and Ogha is just standing there unmoving as I'm being set on fire. Patch their AI please, lol!

Red eyed summons like him Ogha, don’t follow you around, they are mad and they just attack whatever is in a smaller area. When everything is dead there they just start walking around/ staying in the same area and they never follow. They aggro until everything in that area is dead and then stop.

                                    • Anonymous

This guy is awesome for Malena. His bow knocks her on her a$$ every 5 seconds and you can just keep her focused on you and stay away a bit and when he knocks her down go in for a free attack and run away until he knocks her down again.

                                      • Anonymous

The dungeon is probably tied to Caelid's Bestial Sanctum area, which is significantly higher scaled than the rest of Caelid. If so it would explain the (maybe unintentional?) ridiculous damage numbers despite being so close to Radahn.

                                        • Anonymous

I've tried Warcry with him a few times and it does trigger him to use a warcry of his own, increasing his damage, but from my experience you have to be standing close to him and it doesn't trigger him to use a "rain of arrows" like the description says.

                                          • Anonymous

This spirit should go up in the tier list for Malenia alone. I tried mimic tear a few times to no avail but this man was a godsend at keeping her down when I needed it.

                                            • Anonymous

I really like this ash, as it’s one of the best on my list.
He can stagger almost every boss, very tanky, can snipe very well, and I just like watching him sniping enemies far away as their ragdolls are sent flying.

                                              • Anonymous

this has become my favorite ash, even more than tiche. Why, Because he is the best support with malenia.

his arrows despite being somewhat slow are super good at intercepting malenia's moveset, which other ranged ashes are not as great at, especially when he can actually move around and defend himself. tho his damage is definitely inferior, the poise damage is insane. This can trivialize malenia's 1st phase, where despite her ability to evade some of his arrows the ones that do hit gives you a free 3 second to recuperate or dish out more damage. This makes him arguably the best ashes for suport for malenia where other ashes such as tiche and mimic tear just becomes a free punching bag for malenia to heal off of, ogha will almost never get hit. Best of all, he have the possibility of actually knocking malenia out of waterfowl dance, her most dangerous move. When phase 2 hits, his arrows become less effective, but thats when he differentiate from other ranged ashes, where you can bring the fight to him, allowing him to support you even in phase 2. Combine his above average hp, and his usage of lion's claw which can still effectively knocked down malenia makes him one of if not my favorite to use against malenia.

I summoned him to help me fight the red lightning storm two headed stone dragon and 100% of the fight he did absolutely nothing at the opposite side of the map.

                                                  10/10 would summon again.

Very strong all-around ash, has unique interaction but extremely hard to use. Not recommend upgrading him as your first +10 summon, but he is definitely worthy of his title as a legendary summon

Man is cracked, I wish he had slightly better armour or something that differentiated him since he looks like every other knight, considering he’s Radahn right hand man, but he’s still really cool

Very tanky boi, but also very dumb. He was literally just standing there in the distance picking his nose while I was getting my ass handed to me from the Beast Clergyman 2nd phase.

                                                          • Anonymous

I just upgraded him recently and to +10 on a snap! If you are a melee, him being a summon is great for range and lots of freakin' stagger! If any boss gets close to him, he will switch to tank mode and holds aggro very well.

                                                            • Anonymous

He is really good as long as you summon him in the right place, Ogha is a bit of an idiot and will not reposition if anything is blocking his view and he will just keep shooting the cover. What I really love about him is his sturdiness, when he gets aggro from a boss he does not crumble before I can get aggro back and actually fights perfectly in melee. There are other summons that deal more damage or have more resilience but I feel that he has a great amount of both making him fairly decent for any boss.

                                                              • Anonymous

This guys arrows are amazing. He helped me fight the trip crystal boss fight and it was much needed help. No online summons in the vicinity so I had to beat warhead catacombs just to try this guy out and max leveled him. (Usually use headless legendary summon but they sucked here). He was great. I'm a high faith build so magic sucks here plus with all the rot. And I needed a tank and someone who can take aggro of 1 or 2 of them. Worked better than I thought. His freaking arrows just blast them across the room.. much love Ogha

                                                                • Anonymous

I kinda don't want to fight the boss that gives them if they're not worth the effort. The boss to get these is literally cancer and can straight up give you cancer.

                                                                  • Anonymous

Meanwhile War Cry, Starcaller Cry, Regal Roar, or any Incantation that roaring doesn't work on him

                                                                    • Anonymous

                                                                      • Anonymous

                                                                        • Anonymous

                                                                          • Anonymous

Durable (if not as much as the pure tank summons), good damage and ranged so doesn't spend time running around against mobile bosses and is quickly able to grab aggro if you need to defend for a while. Also can and will stunlock the human sized bosses that are susceptible to knockback and can kill them solo if you let him
