Reduvia is a Dagger in Elden Ring. The Reduvia scales with Strength, Dexterity, and Arcane. It is one of the first weapons the player can acquire that scales with Arcane and is exceptional at inflicting Blood Loss on targets.
Jagged dagger with a distinctive curled blade.
Carried by the noble servants of the Lord of Blood.
This dagger rips the flesh as it enters, inflicting blood loss with sickening efficacy. A proud testament to the success of its vicious design, this weapon is perpetually coated in blood.
Where to Find Reduvia in Elden Ring
The Reduvia weapon can be found at the following location:
- Dropped by Bloody Finger Nerijus. [Map Link]
Elden Ring Reduvia Notes & Tips
- Weapon Skill: Reduvia Blood Blade
- Cannot be infused with Ashes of War.
- Upgraded using Somber Smithing Stones.
- The small wave of blood, launched by the weapon's skill, flies a relatively short distance, but can still be used while staying outside the melee attack range of most enemies.
- The weapon's skill, Reduvia Blood Blade, inflicts more Blood Loss buildup per hit than the weapon's melee strikes.
- The Bandit starting class can utilize this weapon from the get-go upon obtaining the weapon, as the class has already met all the stat requirements for the weapon.
- Sell Value:
100
- Causes Blood Loss Buildup. Base bleed build up is 50 at all weapon upgrade levels.
- The Arcane scaling of this weapon affects the amount of Blood Loss buildup the weapon has.
- Whilst Nerijus powerstances two of these, it is neither a paired weapon nor possible to obtain two within the same NG cycle without trading with another player.
- NOTE: As of Patch 1.08, the speed and distance of some attacks has been increased and the recovery time has been reduced.
- NOTE: As of Patch 1.09, the scaling values of this weapon were changed. Please refer to the Upgrades Table of this weapon below.

Completely breaks low level pvp if the user has half a brain. Needs an urgent nerf lol

I get this every run no matter what just because of how easy you can get it and for how good it is it should be illegal to find this in limgrave and you don’t even need to respec from the arc investment because of the holy resistance being really nice for radabeast and also looks really cool with dragon communion spells and seal

how do play reduvia:
step 1: lodge yourself firmly in the bosses' nutsack
step 2: weapon art
repeat until boss is dead

this is probably the fastest weapon to inflict bloodloss on opponents. The blade itelf stacks with the blood projectile, doubling the bleeding effectiveness

Reduvia has 30 bleed build up at least at the date of April, 21, 2023. Hopefully this will be edited or have a explanation I missed within the wiki page already

The name "Reduvia" probably references Reduviid bugs - otherwise known as assassin bugs. Most are predatory and eat other insects but some assassin bugs feed on blood. The blood-feeding bugs are called kissing bugs on account of their preference for soft kiss near the eyes and lips. It's an apt name for a weapon used by blood crazed assassins.

Worth noting that according to the spreadsheet, the Blood Blade projectile does Standard damage. this uh could potentially be useful if you're doing a full on Reduvia + Bloody Helice run and start to feel bad about your weapons' slash/pierce damage vs certain enemies. Look, you have one way to deal Standard damage! For only 6 FP! OK I haven't tried it but I'm pretty sure there's no way it's actually cost efficient for killing imps/skeletons/gargoyles, so the fact that it does Standard damage is mostly just trivia I'm sure.

absolute low level nuke. people will just explode into blood like crushed grapes.

Judging by this comment section, there are a lot of people who haven't assessed this weapon properly at all, within the context of an ARC/DEX build. "It's a dagger, it's short, it deals low damage and poise damage, blah blah blah." As if you're going to spend a whole run using just one weapon. As if any arcane build wouldn't instantly become better with this weapon in its arsenal. As if some enemies being immune to bleed even matters to an arcane build with access to Occult weapons and incantations. Or, in the opposite direction, "this weapon is broken, deals huge bleed damage, spammable ash of war, rivers of blood 2.0." No, it's a weapon balanced by low base damage but good scaling and the ability to inflict bleed. Against applicable enemies, it will be good. Against other enemies, use something else.

Alright I wasn't sure at first but not I'm convinced reduvia is so good. I recently built my arcane bleed build and needed a strong secondary weapon to compliment morgots curved greatsword and bleed spells. There are a lot of mixup you can do with reduvia. First you can cast fleshflies and sprint towards your enemy. Once you are within range you can start spamming the weapon art and most likely the person you are dueling is dodge rolling sideways to avoid the flies. Chances are your going to catch them atleast once with the weapon art and a little bit from the flies to proc bleed. Next is casting morgots weapon art which even if you miss the lingering blood explosions usually keep the enemy at a cautious medium range then bust out reduvia for some cheeky weapon art spam they usually don't expect range attacks right after morgots weapon art. My personal favorite is when people start to rush you you cast blood talons which creates a defensive blood explosion in front of you. 2 things will happen they will either get stunned and combos into reduvia weapon art. Or they will roll past you in hopes of doing a rolling attack in which case keep spamming the weapon art. It comes out usually faster than anything the enemy at close range can dish out and has great poise damage meaning even heavy armor builds will be stunned. Usually they get greedy and after 2 or 3 failed trades they die.
TLDR version:
-Reduvia is goated
-Great mixup potential on bleed builds
-Cheap fp cost, medium range, fast af, and great poise damage.

The bleed buildup on this weapons WA is ridiculous. The range it gives to the dagger is great and if mixed in with other attacks can very quickly bleed an opponent. For poise monsters that manage to get close I would recommend pulling out a weapon with higher poise damage (I recommend either mogh spear or occult star fists). Alternatively you can try to blender them with dual daggers if their weapon does low poise damage.
i started a bleed build to do another platinum trophy run. got this weapon at the very start, and spent 2 hours unlocking the full map, getting all seeds and goblets readily available, and getting the 9 somber smithing stones. after that, margit, godrick, radagan, renalla, godskin noble, ancestor spirit, loretta, leonin, godfrey, morgott, niall, were all easy claps even with meager dex/arc investment. a +9 reduvia to play standard ng is devastatingly destructive, and easily carried me to firegiant in 10 hours of gameplay.

One of the few early game weapons that is powerful enough to deal with invaders even if they are twinked. I can only recommend it.

I've beaten the game about 8 times and have a build of 12 strength, 80 dexterity, 80 intelligence and 80 arcane, if you're at those high levels It's awesome, not only do you have great melee coverage but also the bleed can be used to buff magic spells by 30% with the white mask and mogh talisman. The standard Blood Blade AoW uses your weapon to excise some of your own blood for use as a projectile. By contrast, Reduvia is filled with little grooves that hold onto your opponent's blood and let you throw it back at them. It's like a Sham-Wow for body fluids...
- Anonymous
If you're getting destroyed by this in the colosseum, try keeping a shield handy, the ash deals 100% physical damage.

This AoW completely trivialized godskin duo for me, it’s situational but if an enemy can bleed they’ll get melted

point blank this **** hits like pre-nerf hoarfrost stomp, its completely insane

People claiming this is OP should seriously try a playthrough with it. 0 stagger, 0 poise, close to 0 reach and pathetic damage against anything that can't be bled. Every single catacomb automatically becomes hell, imps will take about 8-9 hits to die with it, and we all know the game loves to spam those in groups of 3-5. It absolutely melts everything in Limgrave when you get it and immediately +2 it, but after that you won't get a single +3 upgrade stone till the end of Liurnia (cause progression rewards in Elden Ring are just terrible) turning the entire Weeping Peninsula and most of Liurnia into an R1 spam contest.
Once you reach altus and you start getting loot that are not actually garbage bin filler, the weapon becomes good against things vulnerable to bleed though, so at least there's that. But early game, it's basically Drake Sword 5.0, dropoff hits super hard after a good start.
This thing needs a nerf to its aow. Now that I have encountered this thing a lot in pvp it feels very cheap to get obliterated in seconds because of constant aow spam. But this is a problem in general with Elden Ring. Not only with this weapon. Strategic fights where people actually use their weapons are a rotten relic of the past. Now duels and especially invasions come down to who can spam their aow faster and this is neither engaging nor fun. Either you dodge a million times until your opponent finally runs out of fp or you have the superior spammable aow. It's actually pretty sad imo.

with a single weapon art at point blank you can do 900 damage (thats including the bleed proc) to most players. immediately queue up a second weapon art and you've two-shot them. yeaaaaah i think they buffed this a little bit too much.
- Anonymous
Ok guys you gotta admit it’s a bit ridiculous this will win a trade against a collosal... and this is before the exultation buffs stack from ghost bleed. Oh and I was talking about the melee, the ranged portion needs a hard nerf too.
- Anonymous
point blank LT for easy bleed cheese even in pvp,
dual bleed daggers is kinda fun.
- Anonymous
The bleed buildup on this AoW should be reduced by 30% in PvP.

This, glintstone kris and the black knife are all fantastic weapons, but for different builds.

Double reduvia is a build that is really good at pretty much any level. good moveset, great ash of war, lots of blood.
Can someone trade this to me on PSN My name is Oni-Kamina, im trying to do a dual reduvia NG build
- Anonymous
Why do its lights interrupt a colossal weapon heavy with 56 poise? Like it's so off-putting to poise through a straight sword or thrusting sword light and then get staggered by this dagger in the same arena fight.

that was my dragonfarmer dagger

Am I the only one amazed at this weapon's ash of war? I'm at 99 ARC and any NPC in the game ****ing dissolves after two hits.
this is my secondary for my dragon mage character and ghot dam this is one of the best weapons for a low str dex high arc player
10/10 mage weapon

1.07 added a melee component to the weapon ash.
Use the ash of war in melee range and you'll bleed things insanely fast!

this thing is good going to have ta make a good build for it

I defeated a NG+ Malenia with just this thing and my mimic tear pal. It's probably the best dagger, or tied with Fire Misericorde, which I used to beat her the very first time I did it.

I don't get why all the YouTube tier list makers put this weapon on C or D tier, IMO it's gotta be A tier. Super early game, very quick bleed proc, yes the range is short but more than compensated by the fact that it shoots frickin blood at enemies
- Anonymous
Ok, dunno if it's a bug or something, but i use the Reduvia to land crits with the crimson dagger talisman and i get the health regen twice per crit.
Can someone check if the same happens to them?
- Anonymous
as of patch 1.7 the weapon art now also has a melee component - so if you swing this in melee range the enemy will get hit by both the projectile and the dagger swipe.

I love to put this on my left hand. Really good weapon by itself if you can get over the range.

Game: Here's two NPC's dual wielding two of these very effectively.
Also game: You can't get more than one per playthrough, even though we could have easily made the Noble drop another after Nerijus. :)

cuter, more compact Rivers of Blood that outDPSes most weapons even without bleed

“Reduvia” is Latin for “hangnail” or “remnant”, and the root of the scientific name of Reduvius, a genus of assassin bug. Neat!
I did some testing and here are my results for how much Bleed Buildup the skill grants with a +10 Reduvia:
94 Bleed Buildup at base 13 Arcane (Weapon has 52 Bleed Buildup)
161 Bleed Buildup at 50 Arcane (Weapon has 89 Bleed Buildup)
179 Bleed Buildup at 99 Arcane (Weapon has 99 Bleed Buildup)
Let's do some "Blood loss per second" comparisons at 50 Arcane:
13.8 seconds for 18 uses of Reduvia Blood Blade (1.3 attacks per second)
209.3 "Blood loss per second" with Reduvia Blood Blade
Now let's compare to simply attacking with the weapon normally.
9.5 seconds for 18 attacks with Reduvia Weapon (1.89 attacks per second)
168.6 "Blood loss per second" with Reduvia Weapon
Now let's compare to normal powerstanced +25 Blood Daggers (110 blood loss):
10.7 seconds for 27 attacks with Powerstanced Daggers (2.52 attacks per second)
277.2 "Blood loss per second" with Powerstanced Blood Daggers
As you can see, the Weapon Skill produces considerably more bleed than the weapon attacks itself and has range, but the skill is slower than attacking, and uses FP. If you're looking for raw bleed, powerstanced Blood Daggers are the way to go, although Reduvia is still perfectly viable as a weapon.

Fextra users be like: "I don't meet arcane requirements for this weapon. The arcane requirement number is bright red. Hey look, the bleed build up is only 30! This must be a stealth nerf!"
- Anonymous
this has a unique two handed r2!!!!!!!!!! first heavy is a forward stab that goes up at and angle, second one is a overhead downward stab, the kind youd see in a horror movie or something.
- Anonymous
The bleed buildup currently listed on this page (30), is incorrect.
30 is the bleep buildup when your character doesn't meer the minimum stat requirements.
Someone please correct this.
- Anonymous
Who messed with the page and changed the blood loss build up to what you see when you don't have the required arcane stat?
Why would you make the baseline you reference when listing the properties BELOW the required stats?
Someone please fix this.
- Anonymous
The worst thing about daggers is the range. Even for 35 foot tall bosses, you have to hugging them for it to connect... and then again it might not connect for a few hits. I was just against Margit, and I was banging my head against his butt and it still wouldn't connect sometimes.
Will this powerstance with that heavy Rapier that inflicts bleed as well? Just like every Katana + Wakizashi? Would be cool to make a build around it, If so.

someone here mentions something about left-handing this. but I've just been messing around to see what I can and can't carry without getting fat rolls, but every dagger I've put into left hand weapon slots loses its weapon art, is this something to do with the way powerstancing daggers works? a shield or bow in a left hand slot gives priority to 'barricade shield' or 'barrage' but a dagger in the same slot loses the weapon art entirely, with lions claw getting priority. So what's the idea behind the weapons slots and weapon arts working this way? I'm not *****ing about it just curious.
- Anonymous
compared to the damage that absolute c**t nerijus was doing to me with this thing and its weapon art early on, when I was trying to get margit's shackle, I'm finding it pretty anaemic, especially its weapon art, I'm at altus plateau and when I tried the weapon art on one of the omen that seem to be all over the place here it just looked at me like I was some sort of idiot, did very little damage.
- Anonymous
They just patched Reduvia so it only procs 30 Hemorrhaging instead of 50
- Anonymous
The biggest downside to this is that there are no good powerstancing option to go with it.

It's a really fun weapon to use especially early game and low level invasions but I really think (and wish), if they would have made these a one weapon slot pair, like Radahns swords, they would definitely be an all game option for sure
- Anonymous
Trying a Reduvia-only run (Loretta and Godfrey were hell), but this is a very good weapon. At +9 with 60 Arcane, this beast has 92 Bleed Buildup or something. I don’t even fear Radagon, the sheer damage of the Special is amazing. Wonderful weapon, maybe one day it will have the status that the heretical Rivers of Blood has!
- Anonymous
Mine is invisible now when equipped, restarted the game and took off all other equipment and talismans. Its at +10, i can see other peoples in pvp, dont know if they can see mine but i cant, also it no longer bounces off walls at any distance but it does still bounce off shields.
- Anonymous
Considering a somber weapon can be upgraded to +9 from the very start of the game, is this the best weapon for an easy run start? Least stat-requiring bleeding somber weapon.
- Anonymous
Can anyone confirm the bloodloss this causes at plus ten with minimum arcane requirement?
- Anonymous
Is it possible to upgrade this to the point each hit inflicts bloodloss?
For those that see blood loss (30) it's because you don't meet the requirement to wield it properly. One you meet the requirements it should show blood loss (51).
I never expected to love this weapon as much as i do. It has amazing DPS even against things that dont bleed, it carried me through early and mid game as my main weapon, and even end game its the perfect sidearm.
Being able to always hit first and keep swinging faster than anything is something you cant appreciate until you've felt it. There's so many scenarios where its the better alternative to you're bigger main weapon, especially in tight corridors and caves.
Its pretty big for a dagger, almost more of a machete, it feels just like the Kokiri sword from zelda, both in that you can get it right away and you can easily beat half the game with it.
10/10 you wont regret using the somber stones on it

If you're running arcane primary, this is a guaranteed mainstay weapon. Its skill is super cheap and pumps out 600 damage per hit at 80 arcane, before even considering the huge bleed buildup. This thing will carry you through the game. Paired with Swarm of Flies and Bloodflame Talons (w/ decent Dex or Radagon Icon) you can really play some mindgames in PvP while remaining very powerful in PvE.
- Anonymous
As an arcane build I was getting a staggering 85+ bleed. I have this weapon as a "backup" and the weapon art makes quick work of anything susceptible to bleed. I absolutely adore this little gem. It wipes pvpers and bosses alike.
- Anonymous
As it seems to have happened with many weapons, their base bleed moght have been lowered to a new base, in Reduvia's case 50, but raising your Arcane stat starts increasing the bleed buildup. A meager 25 Arcane sets it at 54 bleed buildup, while equipping the Silver Tear Mask (+8 Arcane) raised my Arcane to 33 and my bleed build up to 67. A further 3 points from Marika Scarseal raises the bleed build up yet again to 71, at 36 Arcane. Which also means we can now numerically see how much Arcane is affecting the bleed build up. Time to start focusing more into Arcane.
On a side note, it's a shame I don't see any difference in Scorpion Stinger's Rot build up with Arcane, it SHOULD be an Arcane scaling weapon as well.
- Anonymous
Stats show that the reduvia has only 50 blood build up and never rises at all. But in game my plus 2 reduvia blood daggers have 52 blood buildup... yeah maybe try fixing this.
I find the rapid-fire short/med range skill to be really good and fun.
I had an absolute blast powerstancing this with a poison infused great knife, it was excellent at applying bleed and poison at high arcane levels which turns the build into a monster with crag blade on the great knife and the exultation talismans.
The ash of war does ****ing bonkers damage too and it was my absolute favorite weapon to farm weapons off of enemies along with mohg's sacred spear.
