Remembrance Weapons, or Boss Weapons, in Elden Ring are Weapons obtained by exchanging a Remembrance from a defeated Boss. These weapons feature unique Skills similar to the powers of their respective bosses. This page also includes all non-armament unlocks that are available, including Ashes of War, Sorceries, Incantations, Talismans, and Tools.

Remembrances in Elden Ring

Remembrances are Consumable Tools dropped from major Bosses. They offer the power of their namesakes, often in the form of Weapons. Alternatively, they can be used for a bounty of Runes.

Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold can unlock the power of a Remembrance, offering a choice from two pieces of equipment.

Duplicating Remembrances in Elden Ring

Remembrances can be duplicated at one of the many Wandering Mausoleums that roam The Lands Between.

Duplication can be performed once per mausoleum.

  • See Wandering Mausoleums for details on how to enter these mausoleums and their numerous locations.

Why are there never daggers? The only time there were is in ds2 where the boss didnt have one and daggers are bad

I swear, almost every one of these has such annoying stat requirements. Renalla's stuff, Hand of Malenia, the incantations and arguably Axe of Godfrey are the only ones that don't demand an annoying three-stat hybridization split. This, on weapons that don't allow you to swap Ashes and thus allow minimal customization.

Idk if these weapons are better or worse than in previous games, imo all boss weapons in every game are good and interesting in their own way, they are just different. For me they are on same, amazing level in every game. Also, I sometimes feel that in ER they kinda went with different way while making some of boss weapons, than in older games - literally something like Curved Greatsword from Makar or Greatsword from Elemer are boss weapons, but instead of making remembrance they are just immediately giving you weapon.

So,no Straight Swords,no Halberds,no Scythes,no Shields,no Bows (only greatbows),no Axes (only Colossal/Greataxes),no Rapiers (only great ones),no Curved Swords (only great ones),no Daggers and the only Fist Weapons is a joke.

Can u visit a masuleum or Enia after getting 15th and final rememberence and can a masuleum dupe a rememberence u got on the previous NG

I have killed Renalla, Queen of The Full Moon, and her items have high requirements for the level you kill her at. (80 INT required)

I've only done renalla and godrick, their remembrance weapons don't offer anything to my build or play-style, and going by requirements and scaling the only one I could use without having to respec or farm for runes is the reward for killing maliketh, has anyone here bothered using the walking mausoleums to duplicate any of the boss rewards?

                  • Anonymous

So Elden Ring seems to have broken the Dark Souls standard of boss weapons being terrible at worst and ok at best for the most part. Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear is insane for bleed builds, Hand of Malenia is one of the best weapons for DEX builds, Sacred Relic Sword is needed for what I believe is one of the best rune farms in the game, and Carian Regal Scepter is the best staff for high INT levels that doesn't increase FP cost. All the other ones seem to be mediocre though, haven't heard that much buzz about them.

Are Remeberance able to carry over to ng+ if not used? I duplicated Malenia’s Remeberance to get her Katana & her incantation. I was able to duplicate it a SECOND time but it won’t let me select the weapon or incantation as it shows 0. I’m hoping to just stash her Remeberance till ng+

Blasphemous Blade is very powerful. I beat the final bosses in one try with a character I had almost given up on.

for anyone confused, when you defeat a boss you get whatever they drop after their defeat, plus a "remembrance" which is like a Rune you can trade in for another boss weapon at the Roundtable, or of course consume it for a large amount of runes. You can find Walking mausoleums and basically duplicate previous "remembrances" youve earned and either consume them as runes or go back and unlock another weapon you didnt get before at the round table. There are a finite amount of mausoleums.

The wording on this page is super confusing and makes it sound like you can strengthen remembrance weapons further after already having obtained them.

Anyone find this hard to track? Seems like a check list of sorts would be less confusing in-game. I can’t be ar*** trying to figure out which one I don’t have and which tortoise monster gives me it, not to mention which order to make sure you get them all due to the noob monsters ability to only do a limited few. This is bs

Just have the item drop from the boss and have an item to take them on one more time in maybe a buffed form. This mausoleum bit blows

                                  • Anonymous

"Powers can only be added per Remembrance Item. There specific Remembrance Items that can upgrade each weapon and they are named accordingly. Powers can only be claimed once per item. More of the same Remembrance item must be acquired in order to add a second power."

What on earth is this supposed to mean?

i really can find only one complaint regarding the boss weapons, and its that i want more. I wish more of the bosses dropped rememberances that you could pick up their weapon from. I love the variety, though i do wish there was at least one large hammer but thats my only complaint with the current list. Overall i think Fromsoft did a great job, and i cant wait to see what the dlc brings

Unless I'm missing the proverbial elephant in the room, these two paragraphs should be completely rewritten:

                                        - How do you add powers to Remembrance Weapons?
                                        - How many powers can you add on to a Remembrance Weapon?

There is no such thing as adding "powers" to a remembrance weapon, subsequently the question of "how many powers you can add" is nonsensical.
                                        The paragraphs should simply say:
                                        - "each remembrance can be exchanged for 1 of 2 different items / spells by speaking with Enia at the roundtable hold (some items / spells also require runes to be exchanged)"
                                        - "it is possible to obtain both items / spells from a single remembrance in a single playthrough by using the single-use feature located in the walking mausoleums (at most 21 items out of 30 can be obtained in a single playthrough)"

difference between the mausoleums with no bell and a bell is the one with bells dupes demi god remembrances and without a bell non demi gods (i.e. regal ancestor)

                                          • Anonymous

There are no non-bell walking towers in the game. So I am not sure where this talk about "bells" vs "no-bells" walking towers is coming from

I really hope we get some pure strength remembrance weapons in the DLC. Strength builds got left behind in this game lol

this game makes me miss dark souls 3. this game does nothing better than dark souls 3 including the boss weapons! this stuff is junk compared to the boss weapons in dark souls 3. okay, sure there's a few cool ones here like the starscourge greatsword but for the most part, these are lame as hell.

                                                • Anonymous

For the walking mausoleums without bells, the 8 non-shardbearer remembrances that can be duped are:
                                                  • Regal Ancestor
                                                  • Naturalborn
                                                  • Lichdragon
                                                  • Fire Giant
                                                  • Black Blade
                                                  • Hoarah Loux
                                                  • Dragonlord
                                                  • Elden Remembrance

That would mean the mausoleums with bells are needed to dupe the 7 others: The Grafted; The Full Moon Queen; The Starscourge; The Blasphemous; The Omen King; The Rot Goddess; The Blood Lord

So it's not possible to gather all stuff in one game. Oh boy, as if it wasn't hard enough already, NG+ will make me suffer big time

probably the lamest boss weapons in any souls game. wow this crap is boring and lame. dark souls 3's boss weapons were so much better

Most of these remembrances can be used to craft incantations and spells instead of weapons. This game caters to Magic users WAY more than any of the "Souls" series. I can't believe any Magic builds are having an issue with offense and dealing damage...... These weapons are all we strength and Dex builds have. I think they did a great job making their Boss souls...... sorry remembrances usable to every type of play style. Brute, Battle Mage, or Spell caster, there's something you can create to help you.

It says to hit the legs but I jumped on top of one and cleaned off the skulls from the top and it gently sat down and let me go in the door..? Maybe for the non-bell ones you hit the legs but the way I managed to do it worked quite nicely!
