attributes required elden ring wiki guide 18Requires

Rock Blaster is a Sorcery in Elden Ring. Rock Blaster spell allows the caster to create a magical shockwave by thrusting the staff into the ground. Updated to Patch 1.07.

One of the glintstone sorceries of the Academy of Raya Lucaria.

Imbues the ferrule of the caster's staff with magic, then thrusts it
into the ground to create a massive magical shockwave.

Hold to continue moving without striking the ground, and then
push the end of the staff into enemies.

An enhanced version of the glintstone miners' Stonedigger
sorcery.

Elden Ring Rock Blaster Guide

  • Glintstone Sorcery
  • Considered a Stonedigger Sorcery, boosted by Digger's Staff
  • Stamina Cost: 35
  • Deals magic damage
  • Can be cast continuously by using Cerulean Hidden Tear.
  • While casting continuously, the staff is held as a drill and can be moved freely, the drill bit can also deal damage continuously by drilling  the enemies.
  • Note: In Patch 1.07, FP cost on initial cast was reduced from 25 to 22, while its continuous FP for charging or holding down the button of the sorcery was changed from 5 to 4. Plus its poise damage, as well as the stamina damage against guarding enemies, were both increased, potentially making it more useful for breaking guards. The spell's hitbox was also extended.

underrated spell. this + Endure always catches aggressive players off-guard because no one expects to trade hits with a caster

      • Anonymous

Also when using this spell have diggers staff in your off hand for a dmg boost and use ironjar aromatic to make yourself harder to make this spell viable

        • Anonymous

It could be fairly decent but please adjust the poise damage up. I can blender those Haligtree Knights all the way from full HP to 0 and get not one stagger. I can blender them all the way to low HP, hit them with the shockwave without killing them, and STILL get no stagger.

Hilarious spell. Kinda wish it would deal more poise damage. It's a bit odd to have an enemy just ignore literally getting their skull drilled in. Damage it deals is INTENSE though.

            • Anonymous

On pvp try using this after a bait spell, i use the glintstone arc because that spell forces the opponents to roll since is wide and cant be dodged running, and if they roll towards me i follow up casting this, i have good results most of the time and sometimes can work against players with skill above the average

              • Anonymous

sadly doesn't trigger winged sword insignia, but im glad it doesn't because the damage at high int is already nutty

                • Anonymous

This is one of the most underrated sorceries in the entire game, seriously look up a youtube video by ChefBoyerdeee. It legitimately trivialised most bosses in the run especially when combined with the Winged Sword talisman and is probably one of your best ways to kill Fire Giant as an int build.

                  • Anonymous

This thing does a crap ton of damage in PvE, but the poise damage isn't that great. You'll trade hits with big enemies.
But it's fun, and unless you're trying to do easy mode, it's worth it for the fun

                    • Anonymous

stondigger staff in offhand for free buff, lusat staff in main hand for max damage, both graven mass talismans, magic damage + infinite fp physick, and 60 int. fire giant doesn't stand a chance in hell

                      • Anonymous

I had a duel with a guy called "Dentist" who was using only this spell and sleeping pots. What a legend.

                        • Anonymous

This gives you some amount of hyperarmor, just tanked a running r1 or r2 from a greathammer with this winding up at 40 poise

                          • Anonymous

Aaaand they gave it poise!!! Now its so much better, I melted some people in pvp but still, be careful cause many things will outdamage you

                            • This spell is absolutely ridiculous now for boss melting as of patch 1.04. Idk why they gave one of the highest dps sorceries in the game hyperarmor but it is what it is. It already competed with Comet Azur, and now it may be easier to use than even that

anyone notice this spell can be used to digger item from enemy? i use this spell to farm item and enemy can drop 2 item same time!!

If only they give a little poise to it, mahbe it could work against shield guarded pokers... Now its nearly impossible to hit anyone with it in pvp - too slow, too short range and no protection

                                  • Anonymous

Would gladly trade some dmg for more poise breaks on this badboy.

There is seriously untapped potential here.

A lot of people are missing the point with this one I think. It's not about the damage, it's about whispering angrily to yourself "YOU. SHALL NOT. PASS" and then blasting some poor guy off the haligtree.

                                      • Anonymous

Spell seems to cost 0FP now. Only costs FP if you hold down the button for longer then a second or the staff hits a mob in the casting frames. Has some utility in PVE , hitting mobs around corners or through scenery. Could do same in PvP , but it would be situational. Still would give the other player a jump.

                                        • Anonymous

I am attempting to make a miner sorcerer character for the explicit purpose of invading people in mines. As such I took the time to get this, the other mining spell, the synergy staff and the sorcery enhancing talisman by lvl 30.

The damage is there, but this spell doesn't stagger at all: If you hold the button enemies, both in PvP and PvE will hit you through it. There's also a lengthy delay in between you sending the shockwave, and it sucks your FP dry in moments.

Disappointing spell, I'll keep messing with the gimmick but feel it's just going to get me frustrated more than anything else.

I think this would be useful if you could cancel it into roll before the shockwave happens. A lot of enemies take a few hits from it and jump away, when you let go the button to stop casting the thrust animation makes you vulnerable.

If you can knock your opponent down and they're low on health, this is the disrespect spell to finish the job.

While keeping it charged (and when it drains your mana) it deals pretty neat damage per second on touch. Probably not Comet Azur level of damage but not completely useless.

                                                  • Anonymous

I've only killed one person in PVP with this and it's pretty abysmal for PVE too, not worth using unless you just want to goof off. Way too much FP cost and not nearly enough range on the aoe to be usable.

                                                    • Anonymous

Hard to find an opportunity to use it that Glintstone Arc wouldn't do at a longer range, but maybe I haven't figured out how to use it to get the most damage out of it.
