This skill went from having 0 hyper armour to having the second-most hyper armour of any skill (600 poise worth, second to a fully-charged palm blast at 700)

Would be cool if this was a skill version of carian slicer but pink and with rot buildup
Weirdly many people don't know how to dodge it. Especially in cramped spaces. Sadly the buildup is so low it doesn't matter, except on very low levels

I just realised the polearm motion is potentially a reference to the sending dance from FFX.
I'm sure the idea of a purification dance with a staff is not exclusive to that game, but I can't unsee it now.

Does this inflict the stronger version of rot that rotten butterflies and scarlet aeonia inflict?

okay. simply double the damage and double the stance damage and double the rot buildup. there, fixed. they should hire me.

I dont think the AOW should be dealing less rot building than TPFBT!!!!! just saying miyazaki!!!!! it should probably be doing 180 at the least!!!!

i want to like it but lack of any hyperarmour really kills it. it's not like the ash of war is anywhere powerful enough to justify such a huge limitation.
also i would question why the rot values are so low. it's hard to ever get it to proc on anything.
base rot buildup ought to be ~75 or better, just make rot scale with arcane in the first place.

i swear this gives u negative hyperarmor. like even with over 100 poise u will get knocked out by a dagger

WA initial startup counts as a jump.
WA has insane mobility. You have complete control of where you sweep, and land.
Use it to attack, and evade at the same time. If timed right you can hit and avoid all damage. With 60ARC landing the full attack in PvE did anywhere from 1.3k-2.4k damage. It can use a buff to applying scarlet rot though.
To trade with the WA… Use Ironjar Aromatics. You get all the buffs, and negate immobility via the WA.

status application motion value and hyper armor just need a buff imo, would be in a perfect spot then but it could also use a slight animation speed up, maybe just a few frames faster

The game just came out guys. They will absolutely buff this. Once the L2 gets hyperarmor it'll be good.

Something that is so unreliable, weird to control, and not even immediatly apply rot to compensate needs a very hard buff on poise or some hyper-armor, since any fart can kick you off of it. Totally not worth the use otherwise, despite how beautyful it is to look at.

I was using Loretta's Slash before I got this. I feel like I've leveled. Please just give me infinite FP so I can go through the entire game floating on a pink butterfly cloud
