Shabriri's Woe is a Talisman and optional Keepsake in Elden Ring. Shabriri's Woe constantly attracts Enemies' aggression. Players can use talismans in Elden Ring to boost a variety of Stats.
Disturbing likeness of a man whose eyes have been gouged out.
The corners of his mouth are upturned in an almost flirtatious manner.
Constantly attracts enemies' aggression.
It is said that the man, named Shabriri, had his eyes gouged out as punishment for the crime of slander, and, with time, the blight of the flame of frenzy came to dwell in the empty sockets.

Elden Ring Shabriri's Woe Notes & Tips
- Sell value:
500
- You can select Shabriri's Woe as Keepsake during Character Creation.
- Only works in co-op: Cannot be used to attract aggro from enemies so they don't target your spirit ashes.
- When summoning Mimic Tear, the talisman is copied to the mimic. Removing it from the player afterwards will cause enemies to fixate on the mimic instead.
- Raises Target Priority by 0,1
Elden Ring Shabriri Notes & Trivia
- Refers to the NPC Shabriri, who shares the same name and link to the Frenzied Flame, but is found in-game inhabiting the body of Bloody Finger Hunter Yura.

Shabriri giving that lightskin stare bout to make me act up

When I first found this, I thought it would make every enemy in my vicinity go "Alright, f*ck this *****" and come at me, sort of like an opposite version of the darkness spell but a constant wide AOE, which could have been a fun challenge... But unfortunately it's entirely useless if you don't use summons.

I'm lvl 381 @ Ng6. Just absolutely destroyed beast by summoning mimic tear with shabriris woe, then swapped it out ...HFS!
Just thought you ought to know
- Anonymous
I swear this only manages to work when you're at 10 hp and about to heal
- Anonymous
This sure *seems* to draw aggro toward me when I have summoned spirits...
- Anonymous
The real bros wear this during co-op. Whether it decides to work or not is a whole other matter.

Tried this on a boss when helping a player and it didn't work well.
Also, I wish this talisman would make invaders only be able to target lock you if you're in vicinity of other players or the host. It would make things interesting.
- Anonymous
i could have 4 of these and the duelist set and the host would still manage to die to waterfowl

how to tank:
- blasphemous blade (OP), or a weapon with the Blood Tax skill (higher AR or status the better)
- 51 or 101 poise
- CRIMSONBURST CRYSTAL TEAR
- OPALINE HARDTEAR
- BESTIAL VITALITY
- GOLDEN VOW (SPELL)
- boiled crab
- USE THROWNABLES
- dragoncrest greatshield
- ritual shield
- swaddling cloth if using blood tax, or whatever you want if using blasphemous
- shabriri's woe if you don't have duelist's helm, or whatever you want (rotten wing insignia if you use Blood Tax)
you should be able to keep ritual shield talisman up pretty regularly with this if you don't suck. You'll be taking very very little physical damage. you need to consider what type of damage the boss you're fighting deals though, and remember that your buffs have a limited duration.

(Reposted from a post on Duelist Helm)
Perhaps confirmation bias, but I think this does increase the amount of aggro you "produce." Testing with throwable daggers got Margits' attention in 2-3 daggers instead of 4-5.
Tips and tricks for anyone more than likely going for a tank aggro build:
-Throwables are a must, this will be your main means of grabbing aggro as many enemies bounce and twerk as fast as possible, not only are they easy to procure they also don't cost much.
-Don't bother with iron skin perfume, reduces any and all mobility for a buff you can acquire from Dragoncrest Shields and Pearldrake Talismans as well as armor and shields (use uplifting).
-Your main assistance will be applying buffs, tanking aggro, and applying debuffs- damage is not your main concern.
-Know your enemies and know what shields to use- as well as when/what will drain your stamina too fast to tank(dragons breath is annoying as ****).
-Shields can also be two-handed if you don't have appropriate strength or strong weapons (unlikely but it's there).
-USE THROWABLES
-Circling around an enemy and throwing **** at them is important to pull combos, try to wait until after allies attack as this really ****s with their aggro and resets it to them usually.
-USE THROWABLES
Armor:
-Duelist/Rotten Duelist helm, it's a pain to get but until actually proof comes out I'm going to say it stacks with Shabiri).
-Poise thresholds and resistances are king, I think Commander O'Neils is the meta best poise to weight ratio tho.
-You can equip Deathbed Dress as well to provide a healing Aura, but I don't know the range/heal/if it's worth it.
Weapons:
-Lances are probably the best weapons for this build, Lances can get B STR scaling base from Heavy application right out the gate. Their poise damage is incredibly strong as well and if you're fighting an enemy that blocking isn't feasible- dual wield the ****ers.
-Commanders Standard- applies an AOE buff og like, 25% damage increase, need I say more?
-You can also get a Golden Vow offhand (i like misericorde for criticals) if you can't get it though.
-Antspur(with poison) can also turtle poke applies the ever present crimson rot/poison.
-Pulley Crossbow is good for a bonus offhand that applies debuffs even better and you can help with bleed and rot feasibly too.
Shields:
-Brass Shield of course, amazing guard boost and early 100% phys. reduction; you can tank the guardian outside the start elevator with this badboy. Magnifique.
-Gilded Greatshield and Jellyfish are early 100% phys. block shields as well.
-I'm not too sure about Icon shield but you could offset with blessed dew talisman and its passive regen?
-Fingerprint Shield- your endgame goal
Spells:
-Not very worth it imo, you can really only apply one which Commanders Standard or Golden Vow offhand do, for far cheaper stat-wise and don't require the high faith requirements normally required.
-Heals; again you could possibly use deathbed dress. Healing in a fight is unfeasible due to poise- hard to locate and sit by an ally, slow, and if you have the time to do this, just use a warming stone- or hell, Holy Ground ash of war which increases defense AND is easier to manage and get into.
Talismans:
-Shabiris Woe (again until proven otherwise I'm going to state this works in tandem with Duelist helm).
-Greatshield Talisman
-Dragoncrest Shield Talismans, I use this on every character I love it. I guess you could swap it out for Pearldrake but that's on you.
-Empty Slot- I use Jarsenal and later switch out for whatever, some good choices: Stamina Regen Talisman, Ritual Shield, Bull-Goat, maybe Blessed Dew.
Ashes of War:
- Barricade shield isn't amazing from what I've heard but it's acceptable
-Bloodhound step is my other goto for again, dodging things you can't block.

ANYONE ABLE TO CONFIRM?
does this stack multiplicatively with rotten duelist set/hood? to provide a greater 'taunt' effect? or is it just one or the other? as in, this would free equipment slots if equipped? asking for my dedicated tank build. Thanks in advance.

Saves arrows and aggro baiting has never been easier. Shabiri died for our runes lol
- Anonymous
this would be sweet if it made enemies aggro to you in invasions. would be great for leading enemies around
- Anonymous
I can see why people hated Shabriri. He looks like the definition of a "smug snake".
- Anonymous
Gotta say, that's a very annoying face, I would itch to punch it, too XD
- Anonymous
> It is said that the sickness of the flame of frenzy began with Shabriri, the most reviled man in all history.
Probably just a coincidence that the talisman resembles Mark Zuckerberg.

this makes you an awesome damage sponge in co op. my friends and i have been playing through seamless co op and our greatshield player uses this to great effect. he's basically like a tank in WoW, it's awesome
- Anonymous
I'm a bit confused by the notes on this page. One says this only works in co-op, while the other says you can put this on a Mimic Tear to take aggro for you. Unless I'm missing something, both of those statements can't be true.
- Anonymous
In DS2, it makes a player with red eyes, it was so cool but this did not bring back the stylish effect
- Anonymous
Ive yet to obtain the actual talisman but ive had the effect under my healthbar. is there another way to get the effect thats not stated
- Anonymous
Even Shabriri's Woe can't help you carry someone with 500 health who panic rolls the moment the boss loses aggro from you for one second.
- Anonymous
Love using this while helping players against bosses like malenia and godfrey, I don’t have to worry about the hosts taking absurd damage as long as I throw a dagger after they attack and the bosses instantly zero in on me!
- Anonymous
I was hoping this would act like gut's curse mark but no :'(
- Anonymous
Does this decrease your ability to sneak or does aggro only work during combat?
- Anonymous
doesn't hold aggro by itself at all. just makes your attacks generate more threat
Does it stack with the duelist armours set or is there no point in having both?
- Anonymous
"Is potentially referring to the NPC Shabriri, as the two share the same name, and both seem to have the connection to the Frenzied Flame."
"Potentially"? How many other Shabriris have you heard of, wiki editor?
- Anonymous
I hope this stacks with the duellist set to gain 100% aggro all the time

DON'T ****IN' LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT
THAT'S A WIERD-LOOKIN' ****IN' TALISMAN
MA!!

This talisman + Fingerprint Shield + Greatshield Talisman + Spear = bosses will bash their heads against a wall while cooperators will unleash hell on them. I know it's cheesy (not THAT much, you still have to watch out for chip damage, stamina and unblockable grabs) but this game can be as cheesy so no shame in it. Also it's pretty fun to watch, makes me giggle a bit.

On Malenia I would mimic tear with this equipped then change it out and she seemed to focus on the mimic tear more than without doing this

This has been working great!
Someone summons me for a boss, and I just constantly shield poke him to maintain aggro while the host deals damage.
- Anonymous
I wanted to be like the Sellshield of DS2 but two things: No funny red eye glow, and shield attacks don't block anymore (but for some reason they do for blocked thrusting attacks? I don't get this decision)
- Anonymous
Does this work off of your attacks or your range? Like using a bow, can you pull aggro by attacking from a distance?
- Anonymous
This talisman doesn't give your character red glowing eyes that you can see even when wearing armor.
"There goes my idea to cosplay in elden ring as a red eye knight from demon souls. Elden ring even has the perfect frenzy spear with that same running attack chain in it like the knights in game. "
- Anonymous
Bosses will usually focus the last person to get a hit on them on their next action. This talisman seems to make you the priority target but also make you keep aggro for the next action. You're not going to magically keep aggro, you still need to hit the boss within a period of time, but it does offer a less aggressive playstyle for you while summons or cooperators do damage uninterrupted.
So to keep it simple: Priority + ''Lingering aggro''
- Anonymous
This item alone is not enough to keep boss aggro. It seems that it only affects the likelyhood that the boss will target you if given an equal choice on targets in the area. The best way to keep boss aggro it seems is continuous damage.
In my testing, it seems like it doesn't matter how much damage you do, but how often you are scoring hits, so throwing knives in conjunction with this item might be the best way to pull aggro off of your friends.
- Anonymous
Time to run this with 99 vitality and 99 endurance, slap on the biggest armor and shield and just run around while my host runs around like a silly lil guy with his +1 dagger poking the boss to death
Nobody's born cool.
Except for summons who bring this talisman to the boss fight.

Does equipping the Rotten Duelist Helm stack with this for more aggro pull or is it just a waste to equip both?
Equip Shabriri's Woe. Enter boss room. Summon Mimic. Remove Shabriri's Woe. Buff. Nuke. Too easy. This tactic absolutely trivializes every boss in the game wherein one can summon the mimic. So long as I'm not closer to the enemy than my mimic, the enemy has always gone after it and keeps me free to nuke away. Not great if you want to learn what can/ can't be blocked, when to roll, etc. However, one could easily argue you can still learn patterns by watching it engage your summons.

I'm assuming intended for coop play. One person tanks w thumbprint bullgoat other is running mate or bleed katana build, pretty solid when it works, feels bugged however......
- Anonymous
Sad, wanted to play Tank with Greatshield, while Latenna kills bosses.
- Anonymous
Is this ment to draw aggro soo your summons can deal damage while you tank, or make the enemies attack more often making it easier for you to parry?
- Anonymous
NGL; this is 100000x worse than the Redeye ring/equivalent in all souls games for aggro.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
So it doesn't help pull aggro off your spirit ashes, but I have to wonder if giving it to Mimic Tear will help it draw aggro off of you.
- Anonymous
And effect with Rotten Duelist Greaves? Can you pull entire rooms with it? Or does it not affect the radius where you pull enemies?
- Anonymous
Doesnt even work right. Had it on on valiant gargoyle standing next to them and they often switched targets to Latenna. Garbage.
- Anonymous
No glowing head effect like the redeye ring from ds2. does not change fashion
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
Does using this in solo even make the game 'harder' other than eating up a charm slot?
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
that smug expression. no wonder it attracts agro more often
- Anonymous
This item causes enemies to continuously "notice" you more. It doesn't cause enemies to directly attack you if they are attacking other players. This does NOT mean the item is useless for stealing aggro in co-op though. Bosses tend to target the last person who directly hit them recently. If a player backs away from a boss and the boss isn't currently attacking someone and is just walking towards that player the talisman can make the boss retarget you after a (random?) amount of time. This can allow teammates a disengage period in order to heal or rebuff, but overall the item isn't amazing and the ideal option for tanking is to just stick to the boss and hit it as much as possible. Overall the talisman is better for fighting multiple enemies so more of them target you before your buddies start hitting them. All of this is just speculation from what I have seen in game though.
- Anonymous
i think this is for mimic tear. when you summon mimic tear wear this, and after take it off. boss will only attack mimic tear?
- Anonymous
The secret effect is really good, it makes you one shot every enemy if the crouch three times and point down before you hit them
- Anonymous
Doesn't really work, I tried making a character with this and farmed that one really good greatshield you can get at gatefront and went to go do co op margit with main hand greatshield thinking I'd tank for the others and the boss rarely if ever attacked me because it turns out main hand greatshield doesn't do enough damage to pull aggro
- Anonymous
Yeah, this thing works like poop. Throwing knives still seem the best way to keep agro off your buddies.
- Anonymous
I feel like this item isn't working properly. Tried using this in co-op and the boss kept going after other people.
- Anonymous
If I get two shabriri's woe, can I equip them both to increase the effect?
- Anonymous
Really useful when youre trying to carry someone In a boss fight.

Can i use this to keep agrro when i have a spirit/player with me?
