This is no longer dropped by the Godskin Duo, it is found guarded by the wormface trio by pond alcove in SW Farum Azula.

This specific bell bearing didnt and only this one didnt carry over to my NG+. Anyone else has this issue?

This really needs to be moved to somewhere earlier in the game. I'd even be happy with it being in Haligtree or Consecrated Snowfield, somewhere that isn't gated by needing to burn the Erdtree, which ends a bunch of quests.

I killed them but I dont have it and the smithing stones are not at the maiden husks, I used the farum azula wrong warp if that has anything to do with it

Feels weird that out of all the bell bearings, this is the one that unlocks Ruin Fragments. Like, one of the least relevant consumables/crafting ingredients in the game and it demands you fight a nasty lategame boss for it.
Then again, I've always found the placing of this bell bearing to be weird since all the other ones are side content unlocked through dungeons or killing Bell Bearing Hunters.

Becomes available way too late. You can get a +9 somber weapon easily by just getting to the mountaintops of the giants, but a +24 weapon is an unlikely prospect prior to crumbling Faram Arazula. This means you just end up using somber weapons for half the game unless you want to handicap yourself in terms of damage. Needs fixing.

You can have a +9 unique weapon, +10 if you rush Mohgwyn palace in the first hour of the game, but scew you if you wanted upgrades for your regular weapons lol

So I killed the boss and it didn't even drop the bell no matter how many times I reload the zone or roundtabe hold the bell seems to not want to leave the void and enter my inventory

If you cannot buy the smithing stones after turning this in - reload roundtable hold and it should appear in the shop.

I would not trade it in until next patch if I were you. It just disappeared from my inventory after being offered to Twin Maidens and she has no smithing stones 7 and 8 to be seen.

Wrong, he's on the cliff of grace TEMPEST-FACING BALCONY, very close to grace on the cliff

If you get the glitch where for some reason they don't show up (stone 7 and 8), try leaving, resting at grace, come back, and go into the main shop menu, go to smithing upgrades and should be there.

I've beaten the game, and defeated the Godskin Duo, but don't have the Bell bearing, anyone else have this issue? I'm on PC btw.

This bell bearing doesnt let me purchase smithing stone 8. i got 1-7 then the ancient dragon one, but no 8.

For some reason this bell bearing is bugged. Sometimes it doesn’t appear to unlock the 7 & 8 stones. Go reload round table hold and see if it helps. Also what helped for me was turning in another unrelated bearing - the glovewort one. When I turned it in the 7 & 8 stones reappeared.
