Spiked Club is a Hammer in Elden Ring. The Spiked Club scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and is a good Weapon for melee ranged combat. This weapon comes with an addition blood loss effect and a Skill to add to its basic stats to allow players to gain a temporary attack power stat boost,

A club with beast fangs wrapped around the striking end. The uneven spread of fangs causes blood loss.

Given only to the toughest of demi-humans, this weapon is a badge of honor. Or so the demi-humans believe.

Where to Find Spiked Club in Elden Ring

The Spiked Club weapon can be found at the following location:.

Drops from large Demi-Humans that wield it
Can be farmed from the large Demi-Human right outside the entrance of Volcano Cave.
Also drops from the large Demi-Human just below the ledge at the beginning of Coastal Cave.

This weapon has a unique R2.
Sell Value: 100
Base drop rate is 2% (at 100 Discovery).
A good weapon for pure Strength builds, Strength Arcane builds and pure Arcane builds.
- With Heavy infusion, the Spiked Club has A scaling for Strength.
- With Occult infusion, it has A scaling for Arcane, and since Arcane stat affects status effect buildup, this allows Strength Arcane builds and Pure Arcane builds to quickly inflict Bleed buildup using this weapon. The low Dexterity requirement also allows the Hero starting class to utilize this weapon immediately without any investment on Dexterity.
NOTE: As of Patch 1.08, the speed and distance of some attacks has been increased and the recovery time has been reduced. While the poise damage of Hammers has been reduced, Poise damage when attacking with two-handed Hammers has been increased.
NOTE: As of Patch 1.09, the scaling values of this weapon were changed. Please refer to the Upgrades Table of this weapon below. Additionally, running attacks speed increase with reduced recovery time for hammers.

  It has a rare A scaling on occult and punchs out relatively hard for the bleed you can push out. The unique heave is genuinely decent and feels 1000× better then hitting the ground.

  I got one outside the coastal cave maybe an hour into my first play through by total accident / blind play through. It ended up being my main weapon all game and was the first weapon I maxed out at +25. I know there’s better, but hey I like it!

  An easy place to farm very early is the group just north of the Fort Haight waypoint. The one you want is above, and alone, on the left of the road. Much of the time you can backstab him and then duck into the bushes he (conveniently) stands in and map back to the waypoint without needing to kill any of the rest. That's more than one kill per minute.

  I once again come to tell you, that this is the greatest Pve weapon there is. Now with added hyper armor when two-handing since Patch 1.08, this thing is a manace. I just fully charge r2's in everything face without worries which feels like borderline cheating. Doesn't need a bleed build to be absolutly busted.

  one of the best weapons in the game for occult path. It was sitting in my chest unupgraded because it didnt look interesting but man. it is so good and quick. I put Crageblade aow on it and I'm having so much fun.
  
  fun tip: the R2 will stagger even bigger enemies like the Omens only as long as they are not doing a hyper armor attack like their front kick

  I am now convinced, that this might be the single greatest pve weapon there is now in 1.07. It stuns with ease everything one handed, bleeds and has that really good wide arcing r2, that I am convinced are faster to charge than standard r2 in the weapon class. PvP needs testing but I am covinced, that Flaming Strike and Co. will carry any weapon now.

  Conceptually a fantastic weapon for Grug but in practice, the moveset is not particularly great, especially the 2H charged attacks, which seem to have very bad range and this bizarre diagonal hitbox that can easily whiff on enemies that are literally right in front of you, almost like you have to aim to their right to actually hit them.

  Running back is ~5 seconds.
  
  Accounting for time to open the map (short but also have to hit the key), select the grace, confirm travel, and load on a new system (nvme ssd, good processor/gpu), it's ~5 seconds. Any difference is margin of error.
  
  Running back has the advantage you can put on the lantern and have it say, letting you see the tunnel and not get stuck on rocks so on a whole, the run back is "faster" b/c the run out is faster with the light.

  A lot of comments about how hard this club is to farm for, some saying they spent hours killing the same demi-human that drops it over and over. In all honesty I find it funny, setting your mind on a rare drop or other then spending hours hoping RNGesus will hear your prayer and reward you for the hours of devotion spent hoping for a favourable drop instead of a piece of string, I thought I should put it into perspective. I've only been to volcano cave twice, the first time I tried Margot she destroyed me in two or three hits and it was all over in a matter of seconds, a feeling I'm sure many commenting here will know all too well. I went back to try again a couple of days ago and I killed a demi-human outside her cave with a charged cast of frenzied burst close to the limit of its range and I never gave it a second thought. When I looted the item off its corpse I was surprised to see it had dropped the spiked club for me. So I've killed two of the larger demi-humans that drop the spiked club and got it when I killed the second. Once I know how, I'll be trying to trade this up for something that will be more use to me.

  I started with the Club but ended up using two Falchions and that dropped from the small demi-humans and Radagon's Soreseal to speed up the process

  A good early option for a STR-ARC build. Get the poison mist ash of war (use the trap chest in agheel ruins to get there faster, and have a fire pot to kill the scarab, as it teleports away), farm for one or two of these and apply the ash. This way, you get a strike weapon that applies both bleed and poison and scales with ARC as well, giving you a lot of versatility untill you find something better. Duplicate the ash, get another club, and you can also power stance them. They are also easy to farm, as you can just use the large demi-human in the beach cave. The only downside is that you DO have to farm for them, so prepare your silver-fowl feet. Good luck!

  This seems better than the Morningstar for strength builds. With heavy infusion, whether you have 60 or 80 strength, this outdamages the morningstar. It also seems to have significantly more range as well.

  Do not spend hours farming for it. The morning star is literally the same thing, just with more damage. Same moveset, same scaling, same bleed. Its in a chest in lower limgrave. Do not farm for this thing.

  This farm is absolute hell. It is not a 2% drop rate, it has to be under 1%. The weapon is very good for quality builds, but expect a very long farm. I've killed over 100 of these guys with 184 item discovery and haven't gotten one yet. Its taken me about 45 minutes. Still going, and losing my sanity. I would recommend farming for it, but if you have a bunch of larval tears, use one and get arcane really high, and get the item discovery talisman. Then just farm these guys, and respec back once your done. Trust me, its worth it.

  Volcano cave absolutely the fastest way to farm it (TIME-WISE). One run takes about 10 sec. Got two Spiked Clubs in 5 min. 9 arcane.
  Fort Haight run takes about 18-20 sec. Was unlucky with drop rate, took 2 hours 24 min to farm one Spiked Club.

  As others have said, unassuming monster of a weapon, especially combined with Wild Strikes, Bloodflame Blade etc. If you want to get it early on, i.e. without going to Gelmir, I farmed it off the large demihuman in the group ambushing the road near the merchant in southern Mistwood. Starting at the Fort Haight grace, go straight northwest and you'll see him on your right, looking away from you towards his smaller buddies. If you're quick about it you can open your map and warp to the grace before the rest of the group reacts but after you see whether he dropped anything. I recommend getting him from a small distance with either Glintstone Pebble or the projectile from the Sacred Blade ash of war. Again, likely not the fastest method, but I found it to be fairly stress-free.

  The best location to farm this is from the volcano cave grace. There's one standing by himself in the entrance outside so keep killing him and rest till you get the weapon. That's how I got mine.

  In my faith caster playthrough this weapon actually goes so damn hard as a side arm. One, it has 25% greater length than morning star. Two, strong attacks have more horizontal arc than vertical, so better reach. Three, it gets B sacred scaling at +16. Four, only need one point in STR to equip starting as prophet.
  And it has bleed on top of all that? If you can, definitely grab this for a faith build.

  I got this as one of my first weapons on my 1st playthrough, as a wretch in the costal cave.. Now that I beat the game, I am attempting a level 1 playthrough and I think this + the morning star will be superb. Turns out that the drop is super rare and I got lucky as hell the first time

  Don't let this thing fool you in looks, them demi humans knew what they were doing with this beast of a weapon. You slap wild strikes on this thing and I GUARANTEE you you're gonna catch alot of unsuspecting bodies.

  I got this almost right away from a goblin down near the beach when I first started playing, and I’m still using it right now (+10 upgraded at level 41). I love it, even though I’ve found tons of better weapons this is the one I stick with.

  The best place I've found to farm this weapon is outside The Volcano Cave. Just farm the mob at the entrance of the cave until you get it.

  The main comparison is between this and the Morning Star, since both are bleed hammers with the same moveset. This is longer range than the Morning Star - the Spiked Club is just a bit shorter and thinner than the Monk's Flamemace, which has great range for the hammer class. But, the Morning Star does a little more base damage.
  
  In my opinion the longer range makes it superior. The Morning Star feels like it whiffs very often on faster enemies - a lot of times you'll have an opportunity for 2 R1s and the second R1 just misses. This problem happens a lot less with the Spiked Club. But it still suffers from a block counter that goes right over small enemies like dogs and rats, making the move horrible against those enemies.
  
  Also be warned that this seems to have an atrociously low drop rate. It took me probably two hours to get with Discovery at 160ish. One hour I spent farming the larger Demi-Human in Coastal Cave, but I got nothing and switched to farming from the same enemy in the group of wandering Demi-Humans Northeast of Fort Haight West. I'm sure that the Coastal Cave spot probably works, since it's the same exact enemy, but who knows. Either I'm incredibly unlucky or this thing only drops like 0.1% percent of the time.

  Looted off a Demihuman that got run over by the bear when I dragged it down to break the statue found nearby.

  There is no guaranteed corpse with Spiked Club at Hermit Shack btw. Just wasted almost two hours getting there just to find that its false info.

  Can be looted from the slightly stronger Demihuman using it just before the boss fog in coastal cave. Pretty low droprate though
