Trying to figure out how much the item weighs. I received it from the witch at the church and now I have anything that weighs anything unequipped and in my chest and I'm sitting here looking at a little golden bag containing the item that it won't let me pick up because it says it exceeds my inventory capacity.

i bought it and used it for the jellyfish quest in mountain top giants but now i have the icon that pop up when there is an enemy nerby, its just annoying and it even spoiled me 2 or 3 times from boss/enemy and i dont even summons so is there a way to stop that ?

For people who couldn't get the bell however they tried: what you could do, you did. Now for you, missing and sweet memories only. How good not to be you, it's so amazing to summon spirits.

If you are afraid because the blue witch didn't appear: Talk to Melina to get Torrent close to where a giant jumps from above; talk to Roderika to get jellyfish ashes then teleport to Church of Elleh. She will be there to give you some alms.

            • Anonymous

To get Renna to appear in the Church, you have to have met Melina and accepted Torrent... then TELEPORT back to the Church preferably at night. Not sure if you need to have taken the map with you but you can experiment with that yourself. The important factor is to TELEPORT to the Church, not walk there or simply passing the time. At least so far that's what I did to get her to appear. I went to comment this right after getting the Spirit Calling Bell to help sort this confusion out.

Still no way to find the spirit bell, I have tried waiting for nightfall, travelling to Stormhill Shack and back and still she does not appear. Twin Husk have the bell in their sale inventory BUT stock is 0 and despite progressing in the game to lvl 70 this haven't changed anytime. I think I'll just have to play my playthrough without the bell... any advice ?

I wonder if the choice of using a bell to summon spirits was at all inspired by Sabriel. I recall Garth Nix saying that he chose to use bells because they are a traditional artifact used in folk magic that is lesser known, so it seems he might have created the specific association between using bells and summoning the spirits ofthe dead.

You can use it when there is a little graveish/gate looking icon on the left hand side of your screen that is how you know.

it seems the trigger for renna to not be at the church of elleh and give you the spirit calling bell is entering liurnia after getting torrent and before warping to the church of elleh (not having warped there.) this could be just 1 trigger, so im not sure if its the only one, but it sure is consistent since i do this on most of my playthroughs. (correct me if im wrong, please!)

You know I would want to make an elden ring inspired bar, with a logo that has a spirit calling bell and a shot class next to each other, and have it be named "raise your spirits"...

If you have any elden ring inspired drink names, let me know :)

I found the Spirit Calling Bell in a chest in the first ruins of Liurna, those guarded by the revenants. I'm extremely confused, and the bell doesn't work.

Seems like attacking Renna until she vanishes makes you miss out on the bell permanently, still hasn't shown up at the twin maidens, even after being absolved and being able to do Ranni's sidequest.

So I bought the bell from twin husks and accidentally sold it and Renna isn't appearing for me and I can't buy another from the twins, is there anywhere else I can get a bell or am I SOL

                              • Anonymous

Seems like ranni moves from the church when you enter liurnia for the first time, so if you dont want the bell but still want Kale to wake up and sell you stuff just go to liurnia and she should leave (at least for me she did). You shouldnt have to kill godrick.

I'm in NG+, and I figured "Hey might as well talk to Ranni where you get the bell, since I already have it I wanna see the changes." However, she's not spawning. I do plan to do her quest again, and want the "Oh, nice to meet you again" line, but am I just locked out? Not a big deal either way, just a casual "can I do this" type thing.

Ranni did show up for me, I have the lone wolf ash but no bell so i went to the twins and the dont sell it so ye this is a thing

I did Renna’s quest line and never got the bell. The twin maiden husks don’t sell the bell either this is really stupid.

made new character. figured out the conditions to make her appear.

first : you need the mount as mentioned and have met melina. but you ALSO need the MAP FRAGMENT that is found near the ruins (your first map fragment probaly) aswell. then once its night she will appear the church. she didnt appear after i had the mount despite it beeing night. so i went and grabbed that fragment (did nothing else) and she appeared. the map fragment is the 2nd trigger for her to appear. the mount is the first.you need BOTH.

                                        hope that helps people.

                                            Everyone:
                                            I didn't spawn Renna.
So, I went back to the Round Table and the maidens shop.
                                            It's there.
                                            Simply tab over with RB.
                                            It's 100 Runes.
The wolf ashes are right before it.
                                            Good luck!

After you get the horse you should fast travel (or quit and reload) to reload the area and spawn the witch at the church

                                              • Anonymous

It’s not getting the horse that makes renna appear. You have to find the lady in red first and talk to her. Don’t remember her name. She talks about people getting their arms legs and head cut off. After you talk to her renna will spawn at the church.

                                                • Anonymous

Neither NPC will spond for me im level 55 and have yet to get the bell... This games fun but this is just stupid...

                                                  • Anonymous

I was not at the church at night with no witch in site. I then jumped to the round table and checked the Twins. Still no bell. I went right back to the church ( at night) and there the witch was sitting in the ruined wall of the church. Hope this helps everyone else

                                                    • Anonymous

I think my game is bugged. I summoned the 3 wolves, then 2 died...so I wanted to test if I could reset them before the last one died. But when I clicked the summoning stone, they were greyed out. Now I can't summon anywhere, even standing right next to a statue. I hope this issue gets resolved, I'd hate to have to start a new character at this point.

                                                      • Anonymous

I check church at night and i check the npc but i didn't found it.

i'm in late game and i heard first time this item. then i try to take it but there is no witch in the church of elleh (in the night).
and i go to 2 head npc in roundtable hold but it's not there either.

WHAT IM A GONNA DO? i never found this spirit calling bell. pls help

It must be a bug, I have purchased the bell and wolves from the two witches and still cannot spawn them anywhere. Even in places I watch other people spawn wolves. After 25 hours I'd hate to restart but dang this sucks.

                                                            • Anonymous

Okay, can anyone tell me if this is a bug.

I have the bell, I am in an area where I can summon spirits, I have over 100 FP but I can't summon any spirits that cost more than the three wolves.

The other more expensive ashes says that I don't have enough FP to summon them even though they only cost frpm 60-90 FP and I have 100 FP. And before anyone asks, yes I have full FP as well, no need to refill the bar.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

If for some reason this lady doesn't appear in your game because you've moved past the point where she spawns, you can buy this item within the Round Table from the Twin Maiden Husks, left side down the hall. Why is it always you don't have the right?

                                                                  • Anonymous
