Summons spirit jellyfish.

Spirit Jellyfish Ashes is a Spirit and Summon in Elden Ring. Spirit Jellyfish Ashes summons a giant stationary Jellyfish that perform ranged and melee attacks to near enemies.
The Summoned Spirit Jellyfish, floats around and moves slowly. It can resist many attacks, but it needs a lot of time to perform an attack against enemies and this attack can be easily interrupted. It might be more strategical to use Jellyfish against bosses, not only to tank them out, if you distract the boss to let the jellyfish finish their attack, the boss will gain a damage debuff.
Spirit Jellyfish can also be found as Enemies in Elden Ring. For more information, see Spirit Jellyfish.
Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell.
Use to summon a spirit jellyfish.
A floating spirit that illuminates its surroundings.
Prone to tears, the jellyfish girl searches for her distant home. Will bravely spew poison at foes on her summoner's behalf.
It seems her name is Aurelia.

Elden Ring Spirit Jellyfish Ashes Notes & Trivia

So apparently if you burn the Erdtree without getting the jellyfish, the dialog just dissappears. R.I.P. Glintstone Blade

I used her for most of the bosses, yes she isn't as powerful as other (aka black knives spirit), but hell this little girl spirit is insanely resistant ! Very nice to get a powerful, poison inflecting distraction.
Thank you Aurelia for headbutting Malenia and breaking her stance, thank you <3

I always have Aurelia keep me company on my journey. She's a big help in fights, then once I reach stargazer's ruins I let her retire and won't summon her anymore. I like to think she's resting peacefully with her sister :)

made it headcanon that she left the tarnished and is now happily stargazing with her sister :) i never summoned her in a fight anyway, i'd never make a child cry or put them through any suffering... she is prone to tears after all T_T

A powerful warrior that killed a god -and everyone on their path for that matter- to become the Elden Lord also helped a young jellyfish find her sister

So on my first playthrough I played with summons, or rather, one summon, Aurelia, we fought our way through the lands between until the mountaintops where we met her sister, Aurelia disappeared with her sister and from that point on I didn't use her spirit summon anymore, Aurelia went with her sister so I had to complete the last bosses (Mohg, Malenia, Maliketh, Godskins, Placidusax, Gideon, Godfrey and the finale) alone, made me sad to see my little Jellyfish friend go but I couldn't bring myself to summon her again and wanted her to be happy with her sister.
That game really made me emotional over two Jellyfish.

I swear, might be one of those mistaken dream moments but I swear that doing the questline gave you an upgraded variant with both jellyifsh as summons.

This guy helped me finally beat Margit for the first time. I was about to have nightmares of him telling my to put my foolish ambitions to rest. The wolves were useless to me because they were always in melee range and died to fast. In the end, I switched to this guy and we played ping pong with Margit, constantly changing his aggro halfway. And the final hit was actually his poison.

Useful when she decides to be. Early game, that poison is pretty damn exploitative, but after that, I swear she tries to do too much. Just stay back and snipe
- Anonymous
Apparently if you dont get this when she is in the shack, and you go to Liurnia, you cannot get this again. So if you wanted the Talisman you get from summoning her with her sister, you should get it asap.

It would be nice if Aureliette would join Aurelia as your summon after they are reunited, meaning you would henceforth summon both when using the ashes.

I love this little jelly, but Gid she is so stupid. I just want her to stop floating towards the god-blending apostle and instead stay back

Didn't even realize she gave the bosses a debuff besides poison, only used her cause funny jelly

Aurelia and her sister graves are behind the ruins her sister is at -

who never saw the stars"
Now they have ... , now they have

Dumber than an actual jellyfish - one imagines she didn't need much help becoming a spirit

This spirrit summon is stronger than many give it credit for if you are aggresive (and maybe even use scarlet rot) this can be extremly usefull the passive damage adds up esspecially in late game areas at low lvl.

Is there anyway to get this after she’s at round table hold?

I just thought it was a decent light source so i can fight without holding a torch.

Never thought i would almost tear up over some jellyfish wanting to gaze at the stars together, i'm so happy Aurelia gets a happy ending.

Only good if you fighting a boss weak to poison which is no one and poison is too slow to be any real help
This lass will squirt poison with sniper elite-tier aim across the entire arena. Works best if placed in a corner while you stay in the other with the boss, the poison squirt will draw the boss away from you from time to time, which is really useful. Just don't expect this one to take or deal a lot of damage. It's basically a poison turret, and if you treat it as such, you can get some decent utility out of it early game for cheap. It is also used for an NPC quest, which is fairly unique. If you head up to the snowfields, you want to make sure to bring this one along to summon her beside her sister.

The moment I received Aurelia, I had an inkling that she'd be a special spirit ash regardless of her being a standard spirit ash (those upgradable using grave gloveworts). If you look at the descriptions of the other standard spirit ashes, none of them are named.

I somehow missed this on my first playthrough. I've beaten the game and Roderika is in her spirit tuning spot at the roundtable hold. She doesn't have any dialogue options, only the spirit tuning option. Is it possible to get this anymore in this playthrough? or will I have to go into new game plus?

Looked all around for this damn thing, thought I must've somehow locked myself out of obtaining it... Finally, looked in my chest at a site of grace. sure enough, must've put it there way early in the game, probably the only time I've uses the chest

I played through the entire game and never harmed a Jelly. I even returned my Jelly to her home. It was the only good I could do in this game. I murdered everything else I saw though.
- Anonymous
If you havent picked it up until later in the game, you can also get it by the same npc in the roundtable hold!
during in search of corhin the virgin eunuch, i met that jelly girl too,
i dont know if it works, i asume its just joke so i just sumon my usual jelly
some kind of seal unlocked it said, maybe that box inside.. and they both go see the stars,
maybe ranni will be happy to see them young generation that love stars

I never use her after I reunite her with her sister, so that they can see the stars together for eternity.

The trivia is almost definitely wrong. It's probably a reference to the genus Aurelia, which is the genus for moon jellyfish.

On the NE side of stargazers ruins, there is a slope downwards that wraps around by some bats. There you will find the graves of the two jellyfish girls.

Any chart of HP boost gain every +1 level for these spirits?
- Anonymous
A lot of players usually think this jelly is weak is because they're not using it right. You are supposed to take all the agro so that the jelly can stay back and poison the target. NOT let the jelly out there to die.
- Anonymous
The amount of times she helped me win a battle in clutch. One time I took the boss down to 1 HP, I thought he was dead but nope, instead it killed me, right as I was falling Aurelia came from behind and poisoned it felling the boss at just the very last milisecond earning us the victory.

I'm just saying: This jellyfish summon has helped save my life more times than the mimic tear has. That thing gets demolished while the jellyfish keep going. I can understand everyone has their own favourite spirit ashes, but I highly recommend reconsidering the jellyfish at times, even if it's just to get the enemy off your back.

In JP the name is Clara. However in EN it's Aurelia. WTH translators lol

forget fia, ranni, melina, malenia, or even roderika. aurelia is the true wife.

I think the Trivia aspect of Spirit Jellyfish might be incorrect. I think the Developers named the Spirit Jellyfish based of the binomial nomenclature of Jellyfish which is Aurelia aurita. Jellyfish belong to the genus Aurelia.
Sylvia Plath mother's name was Aurelia and there is medusa phase within Jellyfish. So in her poem Medusa, Sylvia Plath drew correlation between the name of the mother with the Genus of Jellyfish along with Medusa phase of Jellyfish with Medusa of Greek myth.

I feel like many underestimate the damage Jelly can dish out. Saw a streamer play and summoned the Jellyfish in his runs against Godrick and after the fight, people in the chat said the Jelly does minimal damage and is only good for a distraction, but me being bored, calculated how much it did:
Godrick's HP = 6080.
Jelly was level 2.
Jelly projectiles hit in the first phase was 9. Dmg per hit 23.
No poisoned status yet.
Phase 1 Jelly damage = 9x23 = 207 dmg
Phase 2 poisoning status began on the first projectile hit at the start of phase 2. The phase 2 lasted for 1 minute 14 seconds = 64 seconds.
64x10 = 640 dmg
13 projectiles hit during Phase 2
13x23 = 299
1146/6080 was done by Jellyfish. So 18.84% of Godrick's health.
At only Jellyfish level 2.

i gave my jellifish to roderika at the start of the game. can i still to the stargazers ruin thing somehow?

Would've been cool if the quest to reunite them ended in an upgraded spirit ash (like summoning two jellyfish or giving it another ability)

This big stupid jellyfish is actually quite effective. Very tanky, and great at staggering enemies. Causes poison debuff to boot.

Wholesome questline. In Stargazer's ruins, you find her sister who's waiting for her to 'see the stars together'. You can answer her wishes by summoning Aurelia next to her, and when reunited they depart together :)
From a lore standpoint, Stargazer's ruins were once the residence of the Astrologers - ancient sorcerers who made their homes on the highest peaks in the lands and called the giants their neighbours. If you explore the place thoroughly you find a small grave, about the size for small children, which say "here lie Aurelia and Aureliette, who never saw the stars". This implies that both jellyfish sisters were stillborn and never got the chance to see the stars like the rest of their Astrologer families. But although nothing could be done about what was denied to them in life, at least their spirits may find happiness in the great beyond.

I named my character Aurelia, the way I jumped when I saw lil jellyfish has the same name
it was fate all along, walking the long road all the way to the final boss with her
my love for jellyfish has skyrocketed cause of a lil ghost

Her sister is located in Stargazer Ruins. If you summon her they both "Leave to see the stars" together. An announcements says that a seal has been broken somewhere and the Glintstone Blade can be found down the stairs behind them. The ashes are still in my inventory.
Could this be an actually sweet/happy ending? I don't know how to feel these feelings anymore.

There is a grave to the east of Stargazer ruins, near the cliff. Writtens on it: "Aurelia and Avrita, that neve saw the stars, rests here'. Smb knows smth about it? I guess its about jellifish nearby.

This is my go-to ash

Unironically the best Spirit in the game... disappointingly.

so I'm a bit confused here. does the jellyfish cause poison buildup or not?

Hey,
I summoned this jellyfish next to a jellyfish that was saying "where are you sister? we were going to visit the stars when we turned 14" I got a gesture and a seal was broken somewhere. Specifically it happened in stargazer ruins (northern snow region)

I will never understand how the ghost of a Big Stupid Jellyfish is so incredibly tanky. Nor will I complain about it. Extremely useful for casters/ranged DPS as it is an excellent tank. It can take several hits from bosses.

In the italian description there is written that the jellyfish is the spirit of a girl who was searching her sister. They were going to watch the stars together.
There is nothing about the poison...I think I'm gonna play it in the original language

There's some lore for this specific Jellyfish in the Land of Giants. It's in one of the ruins.

If you missed getting the ashes from Roderika early follow her quest line at roundtable hold and she'll give it to you then
You can help her to reunite with her sister in Stargazer's Ruins by summoning her there. Doing so will unlock the previously unaccessible fog gate downstairs and you can get a talisman.

The jellyfish attacks can cause poison build up but I don't see that anywhere in the wiki.

So which one is it, poison (Inflicts damage over time), damage debuff or both?

Info mismatch: On the top it says the jellyfish moves very slowly, in the guide part says it doesnt move at all.

any way to get these ashes if you missed them and you are in post game? rodericka no longer has dialogue options
- Anonymous
This thing is surprisingly good, easy to get early game, has very high health, can inflict poison and low casting cost. It’s a very solid summon
- Anonymous
On a path below the Stargazers' Ruins you can find a pair of graves that can be examined. They will read "Here lie Aurelia and Aurieliette, who never saw the stars". Back up in the ruins, you can find a jellyfish in what looks like the ruins of a church crying about her sister, and a promise they made to go see the stars when they were 14. When using your Spirit Jellyfish Ashes, the other jellyfish will say something (I forgot) about how "you've finally come, now we can go see the stars" and both jellyfish will dissipate.
Okay here's a little info I just came across. When you enter NG+ you can not use the Jellyfish Spirit from your previous NG cycle. It has to be the one from the current NG cycle to trigger the event with her sister. I assume the same rule applies to Latenna. In fact, it won't even let you use the "wrong" Spirit.
