Stakes of Marika

stakes of marika1 elden ring wiki guide 300px

The stakes honor Queen Marika the Eternal, ruler of the Lands Between.

Stakes of Marika are statues usually found in locations where many enemies are present or just before boss doors. They serve as respawn points.

Other useful statues found throughout the Lands Between include Effigies of the Martyr and Rebirth Monuments.

Stakes of Marika Use

If you die in the range of a Stake of Marika, you can choose to respawn next to it instead of at your last Site of Grace. If you're in range of a Stake of Marika, you'll see an icon (stake of marika icon 30px) beneath your Stamina bar.

I really wish there was a way to disable the stakes. There are a few in dungeons that are actually handy, but in the over-world they are rarely in more convenient spots than the already overabundant sites of grace.

Best change From ever added. "Boss runs" were one of the worst video game mechanics I've ever experienced.

It's a shame no Tarnished can figure out to bring one along with them and place wherever would be handy to reborn.

I appreciate the Near and Far co-op update but I'm getting tired of behind summoned to fight Godfrey and Radagon

                First 20 hours:

These stakes are incredible finally no more tedious unnecessary runback that offers no challenge outside of testing my patience and serve as nothing more than a tedious blemish on otherwise perfect series

                After that:

Why did they even add these

I beat the entire game without using a stake of marika cause I didn’t know what they did. That run back to radahns arena will haunt me.

I think including Stakes (and Graces) near bosses/difficult parts was a big mistake on FromSoftware's part because now they don't need to design shortcuts in their levels and most legit invasions (not ganks) happen near bosses and most hosts would rather ignore invaders and go straight to the boss.

I have never hated a mechanic in a Souls-Title as much as these asinine piles of trash. They aggravate me more than any boss. Adding a feature that decreases runback only to then deliberately never use said feature around truly challenging bosses just feels petty and needlessly mean spirited. Either remove them as a feature entirely or actually place some in areas were they are needed.

Yes, this comment is the result of four hours worth of failed Dragonlord Placidusax attempts.

What are these other stakes that are found throughout every part of the world? The ones where there's always messages "But hole".
Has anybody researched these? They can't be there just as landscape.

Wish there was a way to turn off some of these, I keep getting summoned to a specific one that im getting tired off.

The respawn on the stake of Marika will only proc if you didn’t die by fall damage. Otherwise you respawn as usual.
