"Does not increase fire damage dealt despite the wording in the description."

Why is this even here? The wording in the description is quite clear. It is simply saying that it does more fire damage than other torches. Not sure how you could misinterpret that.

Stunning malenia with the lingering fire, cancelling her grab and forward thrust is ridiculously enjoyable

That note about not boosting fire damage seems kind of dumb. My interpretation on reading that is it would deal more fire damage than other torches, which it does.

I’m assuming whoever made that note thought that it would boost fire damage from sources other than the torch itself. Which I guess IS a way to read that, but it wouldn’t make much sense.

want a better Fire Torch? Spiked Club with Flaming Strike, it looks EXACTLY like a torch, just good LUCK farming it with a 2% drop rate.

Tested as of 1.09, even after the buff to the Roar Medallion, the L2 is NOT boosted by the Roar Medallion.

its talking about its own fire damage compared to a normal torch.

When I noticed the wandering nobles summon resetting my frost proc, I decided to equip this to make it easier to proc frost. Turns out it does some decent damage on its own and makes dealing with those tanky miners much easier. Hell, even the regular torch you get from Kale kills them pretty easy.

Good for PvP but gets shut down by any setup that has more poise than the amount of poise damage a jumping R2 does. Excels at bullying streamers.

It is a dex scaling torch, and while thats awful, don't forget that there aren't that many dex-associated options for DEALING fire damage. The Bloodflame weapons need you to level arcane to get anything out of the fire. Spark Aromatics are powerful, but of limited quantity, and if you really need fire damage, say to deal with Hands or Flowers, for instance, you gotta take what you can get. it's damage rivals Eleonora's Poleblade on a pure dex build (with minimum arcane)

Wish these could be infused. Would've been awesome to make it Flame Art and give it scaling for the Fire Damage it does.

"he heated filament boosts fire damage dealt."

Doesn't increase fire damage dealt. I get that their trying to say that the torch's fire is stronger than a regular one, but why that wording. Fromsoftware goofs are so strange sometimes.

If you are wanting to do a build with a seal or staff as a main hand weapon, this thing would do really well as your offhand if you don't want to use a shield.

For those who felt the game lied with its description, level the torch up and use fire breather on a fire-weak enemy and then tell me that it isn’t effective

HOW TO BECOME MOGH! (Not sure if intended but) If you buff your main-hand weapon with Bloodflame Blade, this torche's Ash of War gets the buff as well. So buff your main-hand weapon with Bloodflame Blade, switch off-hand seal to torch and now instead of boring old flames on the ground, the AoW casts extra spicy flames that does added fire damage and ticks bleed over time, just like Mogh!

Does flame grant me strength improve this weapon art? And does upgrading the torch improve the weapon arts damage?

Radahn Soldiers in Caelid can use the Firebreather Skill despite wielding standard wooden Torches in their left hand.

This weapon doesn't deal fire damages to goldskin duo and beast clergyman at least and I can't figure out why
(125damages in +17 only to this bosses is this normal ?)

Possible error? The Torch overview page says this scales with Dex, but this page is saying it scales with Str. Which is it?
