Summons spirit of Stormhawk Deenh
|
Stormhawk Deenh is a Spirit Summon in Elden Ring. Stormhawk Deenh summons the spirit of Stormhawk Deenh.
Warhawks can also be found as Enemies in Elden Ring. For more information, see Warhawk.
Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell.
Use to summon the spirit of Deenh the Stormhawk.
Spirit of a fierce hawk that faithfully rendered lifelong service to the old king of Stormveil long ago, when the true storm raged. Its cries embolden its fellows in battle, and the tempestuous winds that encircle it shred through foes.
Where to find Stormhawk Deenh
Where to Find Stormhawk Deenh
- Chapel of Anticipation: Upon returning to this location later in the game, head to the south wing of the Chapel, onto the roof to find a door that leads to the wooden platforms above the main hall of this building. There is a chest on this platform containing the ashes. [Map Link]
Elden Ring Stormhawk Deenh Guide
- Consumes Low FP (47)
- You must be near a rebirth monument to summon spirits from ashes.
- When you are close to a rebirth monument and able to summon, a monument icon will appear on the left side of the screen.
- Flies about the battlefield, preferring to stick to the player's vicinity unless it locks onto a target.
- Attacks target with dives, talon swipes, and pecks.
- Periodically lets out a war cry that buffs the player's physical damage, stamina damage, and poise damage by 20% for 30 seconds.
- Physical ranged attacks and sorceries/incantations with a physical component are affected by this buff.
- Ashes of War with a physical component are affected by this buff.
- This is an Aura Buff and will not stack with other buffs of the same type.
- See Buffs and Debuffs for more information on stacking buffs.
To echo what someone said a couple posts down, very underrated summon. Am using it with a melee build and the buffs are welcome. Also, Deeth itself will sometimes fly into enemies and sort of stagger them for you. There are a few bosses that it can't stand up to for very long but I'm quite sold on it and will be using Deeth often.

My favorite summon. He gives a good buff to damage and posture damage, doesn’t distract super well or deal lots of damage so you just get to fight the boss normally but with a slight buff similar to golden bow but without the faith requirement. He pairs well with a strength build since your weapons will tend to be heavier so the small added poise damage ends up being a lot. Also he is a bird.

This underrated summon and Flame, Grant Me Strength cost 75FP together. That's the exact amount of FP a Hero starts with at a Mind of 9. Both of those buffs stack. So if you're looking to never invest in the Mind stat and only minimally investing in the Faith stat you're going to have a combo that works great through the end game.

Other summons: Don't worry sweetie, the fight will be over soon. Just stand back and shoot magic missiles.
Stormchad Bird: I will buff your physical damage so you can kick the boss's ass harder and then f*** off.

Deenh may not be very good at surviving aggro or AOE attacks compared to the more OP ashes like Mimic or Lhutel, but the free buff that the bird always starts with and periodically applies is surprisingly useful, even later in the game.

My true buddy, my guiding Stormhawk….the best birb I don’t care about if he’s useful or not, I summon him for emotional support in boss fight.

Has anyone tested if the buff is applied to your teammates in the colosseum team battles?

Golden Vow cost 45 so might as well go with this instead for single player

Best summon for me, 20% damage buff, useful without being OP. And you got stylish points for using it too!

You guys know it's not just a 20% damage increase right? Any fellow code divers notice that the speffect (the buff) from this bird is 10945? That speffect shows a 1.2 multipler on damage, 1.2 multipler on stamina damage, and 1.2 multipler on stance damage for 30 seconds. It's an even better buff than you guys think lmao

So...is this any good for a mage? Does it only boost physical attacks?
- Anonymous
I somehow feel sorry for the birds with exploding barrels I blew up with fire arrows after this good birb made malenia trivial for me...

Best Summon for the Serpent/Rykard it ignores the lava and can literally fly circles around him while you bop the hell outta Rykard with the spear Ash of War. at +10 it can survive the whole fight.

If you have NPC summons, does the buff apply on them as well?
- Anonymous
I e discovered that staying within a certain range of deenh will cause her to re-buff immediately after it wears off

dope and underrated summon. The damage buff is very nice and he has a surprising amount of health, and also doesn't attract boss aggro that much meaning you can keep the buffs coming.
Pretty cool summon but with one downside. It often gets stuck in textures :\

Awesome summon. Enemies have a really hard time landing hits on him. Can distract them easily. Free Aura buff like every minute or so.
Only con would be he doesn't pull very much aggro but that shouldn't be an issue for melee builds

This birb is a good boi. Good Ash for a balanced character who can survive trading aggro back and forth. He's not super tanky but he's not squishy either and he's fairly evasive, he does decent damage and he buffs your melee because he's a bro.
Good birb.

Gigachad bird. Spirit for me are meant to be a support. ¿This guy? He buffs me and distract the boss a couple times before it dies. He doesn't carry you, he just give you an extra push.
Respect for mimic tear/black tiche.. but they end up doing most of the dmg and killing the bosses.
With this guy? I feel I kill the boss.

The lowest FP cost summon so any build can use him. He suffers against foes with very wide sweeping attacks and aoe (mohg, fire giant, etc.) but is pretty effective at dodging everyone else. Will absolutely murder crucible knights. Think Tiche but instead of destined death, he periodically buffs you.

Amazing summon for most melee builds, especially if you're looking for something that'll help a fair bit, but won't hardcarry you *cough* mimic and Tiche *cough*

I think it is also worth pointing out that on top of the 20% more damage, it also buffs stamina damage by 20% and stance damage by 20%. You can see it in the game files with Yapped. It's crazy that this summon gives a buff that is almost like a stonebarb cracked tear with a damage buff slapped with it. This is such a good summon for any melee build.

I'm doing a beast hunter fire build and this ash of war has been essential to me. Good evasion and the buff offsets the low damage. Amazingly tanky in some circumstances where enemies can't handle the kiting. Also cute as ****.

I don't know why, but when this summon dies, it occasionally drops golden rune(1)

Fun to see that nobody has come across the special attack yet ...

Stormhawk King refused to be summoned for us, so we get his son instead.

Has any one tried to use It against the meteórica beast, I use It resently and It just one shot the beast with his spinning atack, I dont now if this is beacuse the skill or the Boss was bugged, PD: It was the beast from crystal mine in Caelid, and his normal and he atack the beast before using that skill and just do normal damage

his buff does stack with golden vow and flame grant me strenght

Warning: this dude sucks. Just use a exalted flesh and summon something 10x better
- Anonymous
my favourite, it buffs you , is quite nimble and can stunlock humanoid enemies
- Anonymous
My only real issue, is he seems to get stuck or lost when fighting field bosses.

Provides a +20% physical damage boost that last for 30 seconds.
Works with ranged weapons, consumables and even incantations.
Does stack with Exalted Flesh and Grant me Strength, but is overwritten (or overwrites if used after) the damage buff from Golden Vow.

My favourite spirit in the game. The buff is pretty strong, but the biggest draw is the fast and evasive movement, making it surprisingly tanky.
Can really help you out if a fight is challenging, without making it a complete cakewalk.
And it looks really cool.
- Anonymous
note: even though deenh flies, will still take damage from floor effects like lava
- Anonymous
Perfect for a rogue/archer build, if you really want to lean into the roleplay/aesthetic of it.
- Anonymous
Lol they should probably nerf the FP cost for the birb not gunna lie. For 47 FP this thing is definitely my go-to for melee characters. Should be like ~80 FP or something around there. But hey, whatever, I'm not complaining. I get birb, birb buff, and birb attac for CHEAP.
- Anonymous
can this summon be healed via incantations? I can never tell if I'm out of range bc it moves so fast, or if I can't bc it's not on the ground
best summon tho cool birb
- Anonymous
he will occasionally yell, buffing either attack damage or giving in combat regen, both very strong, and both can be up at the same time
- Anonymous
I like this summon mainly because it's very mobile, and once it grabs aggro, enemies have a hard time pinning it down. Not tanky by any means but definitely very useful.

On my blind first run through the game doing a pure melee build, I used this guy as my only summon. His low FP cost is nice because it requires no investment in mind, he buffs your damage, because he's flying he almost never dies, and his charge attack will aid you in staggering enemies. Does a good job taking aggro if you need a window to back off and heal. Not sure he's technically the best but totally viable throughout the entire game and having a bird companion felt cool.

I have Deenh at +10 and he's a total monster.
His damage isn't amazing, but he's fast, pulls aggro, hard to hit and the buff is chunky.
If he does get trapped in something or comboed he melts pretty fast, but for 9/10 fights he survives with around 40%.
And he's relatively cheap to summon, highly recommend, best buffbird.

I guarantee this is the key to the nepheli questline. The description and item placement near the stormhawk king heavily suggests so. I believe it is possible to summon this hawk near nepheli twice, once under the bridge to albnauric village. The other being the godrick fight. Has anyone tried either of these?

Can the eagle buff stacks with weapon art buffs such as Braggart's roar, oath of vengeance, etc ?

It gives some sort of damage buff, changed my total damage from 504 to 572.

I like this one for the attack bonus it gives, it's very strong!

This summon repeatedly aoe buffs your attack. Also it flys around and melees people. Has a spinning swoop attack that makes it move fast and a distance. Damage isnt great, but id imagine you would use this summon for the attack buff.

Does it actually use his buff on you all the time, or do you need to wait or do something to trigger it? Did anybody check is the Poise Damage buff works for spells (because Stonebarb Cracked Tear doesn't)?
