Walkthrough for Summonwater Village in Elden Ring
You will naturally come across Summonwater Village by following the main road north of Limgrave. Before reaching the village however, D, Hunter of the Dead, will warn you of a malevolent force he refers to as "Those Who Live in Death" and advises you to avoid the village altogether.
Upon reaching Summonwater Village, you can encounter the Tibia Mariner in the flooded areas of the village, and upon defeating it, collect a key item that will interest D. Visit him back at the Roundtable Hold to continue his questline.
Be sure to explore the area around Summonwater Village for treasures and valuable materials. One such treasure is the Green Turtle Talisman, hidden away in an underground area on the outskirts of the village. You'll find the entrance just slightly to the south-east of the village, locked behind an imp statue that must be unlocked with a Stonesword Key.

Interestingl that this village has a bunch of those weird half-tree, half-zombie-giant growths that you can also find in the Deeproot Depths and Stormveil crypts. Are they present in all of the places where you find deathroot? It'd make sense considering their relation to Fia and Godfrey.

If you can't summon D and haven't done his quest, go kill Tibia Mariner at Summonwater Village. Then talk to D at Roundtable hold and accept his quest. Now you will be able to summon him.

Any one know who the dead body west of here is? It's just before you reach the graveyard.

Does anyone know why there is constant screaming on the south side of the village next to the three crosses with corpses on them, only happens at night

D will move to western part of ruins after killing Mariner, and can progress his questline there.

One deathroot and the Skeletal Militiamen Ashes with be rewarded upon killing the boss as well. Most effective method I've found was to stay on Torrent and just ignore the skeletons and smack the boss. His own attacks can kill the skeletons.

Such a shame that you cant find anything of worth here
Really boring
And the only unique item requires a stone key?
Disappointing
