Effect
Talisman Pouch is a Key Item in Elden Ring. It increases the number of Talismans the player can equip at once, up to a total of four. Key Items in Elden Ring include a wide variety of items found in specific locations or are given by a related NPCs which are used to unlock areas, quests, and to further progress the game's story.
Small, withered bag, knitted by hand.
Bestowed upon the ruling lord, or those attempting to become lord, by the elderly Finger Reader.
Increases talisman equip slot.
As the voices of the Two Fingers, Finger Readers are said to live lives eternal,
and one is even supposed to have served as a wetnurse to royalty.
Where to find Talisman Pouch in Elden Ring
- A total of three Talisman Pouches can be obtained, for up to four total Talisman slots.
- Talisman Pouches are rewarded, in no particular order:
- Upon defeating Margit, the Fell Omen in Stormhill [Map Link] Video Location
or Morgott, the Omen King in Leyndell, Royal Capital [Map Link] - After speaking to Finger Reader Enia, after acquiring two Great Runes.
or found in the Twin Maiden Husks' shop, if missed from Enia. - Upon defeating Godfrey, First Elden Lord (Golden Shade) in Leyndell, Royal Capital. [Map Link]
- Upon defeating Margit, the Fell Omen in Stormhill [Map Link] Video Location

- The sealing of blessed items inside opaque pouches to serve as good luck charms resembles the omamori practice from Japan. The real thing, however, tends to be blessed at the temple, zipped up at the temple, sold by the temple and ritually disposed of by the temple next year once the blessing dries up - the effect dies immediately and invites bad luck if the pouch is opened. These pouches being golden fonts of permanent blessings which change with the things placed in them is a very Erdtree-flavored twist on what is normally a disposable item.

I'm not sure how to edit these pages, but you don't have to defeat two great rune bosses to get the fourth talisman pouch. Killing Morgott is what causes the Enia pouch to become available at the twin maiden husks. If you use a glitch or exploit to get into the capital without killing any great rune bosses, you can get the pouch with only Morgott's great rune after defeating him. Tested on patch 1.10 with the ruptured tear elevator skip to get into Leyndell early.

In ds1 you had only 1 ring slot while your hp and stamina was increased by 25% default.

Patch 1.10 I think I have. You can have a total of 4. I got one from the gold Godfrey. Get 2nd pouch. Killed Morgott guarding the tree. Getting a 3rd one. Which you can skip him to get to Godrrick. you can buy the 3rd pouch at the maiden huck to get the 3rd (pouch) 3 will show in inventory. Dont think it will work the other way around. wixh we can at least have 6. And more damn arrows and bolts to carry. 99 suck ass and not worth it to use bows in my opinion.

Defeated Margit, the Fell Omen and I did not get a talisman pouch. The only one I got so far was from Finger Reader Enra. I probably will get the other one from Morgott or from the golden shade of Godfrey if I can only have four talismans equipped.

We had two rings in Dark Souls 1. Four in DS2 and 3. Even Bloodborne had four rune slots which functioned like the rings. There is absolutely not chance ER is getting five in any update or DLC

Why should it be locked? Why shouldn't Enia ALWAYS have the ability to give you the pouch? There's no logic in capping it after the third great rune.
Even your daddy FromSoft changed it so that you can find it in the twin maiden's shop even if you didnt talk to the finger reader.

Tested just for fun: If you skip Stormveil and head to the Capital Outskirts and kill Margit there, he doesn't drop the pouch.

Awesome new update fixed missing out on a talisman pouch, when you go to the round table it notifies you theres new items and you can go to the lady you give the bells and buy it from her store for 500 runes. lowkey panicked for a second when I went to the og finger lady who normally gives it to you and she didnt have it still lol

I think From is teaching a valuable lesson. With all the people complaining about missing a slot, that is entirely on you. Just be thorough. This game is a massive experience that intended for you to explore everything possible, talk to everyone, go everywhere. If you missed an item, just like I missed the legendary spear in Leyndell before it turned to ash, that is noones fault but your own.

Patch 3/16/2022 a 3rd Talisman pouch was just added to my Twin maidens shop at the Table of Lost Grace. I was one of the bugged/missed the dialogue option for pouch number 2. Hope everyone else gets the same result.

I really don’t get the people saying “it’s your fault you missed the talisman slot”. How was I supposed to know? Now my character is gimped unless I go to ng+. Which will restrict where he can pvp.

Being locked out of core character progression feels bad. Fromsoft really should make the finger maiden drop the talisman pouch when she dies or at least make it available whenever after we unlock it. This having to talk to her at a very specific time in a play through to get it is more than annoying it’s a waste of time. 2 pvp characters down the drain because I didn’t know about this bs. Tbh who would know about this unless you’ve fallen prey to the character waster! Literally my whole day off in effort shoved in the toilet because of this. Fk me.

Love being locked out of a talisman slot because of arbitrary placement. Why is core character progression locked just for playing the game? Was trying to make low level pvp characters and ended up wasting all that time because of this.
Make sure you go talk to the finger Maiden after getting 2 great runes or you too will be locked out of a core character upgrade.

So basically you get the first pouch from Godfrey, the secone from Renalla, and the third from under a waterfall, but don't miss the third one because it'll disappear and you can't obtain the fourth, fifth, and sixth pouches from sucking finger lady's toes.

Talismans work much like rings from Dark Souls 1 through 3, and across all 3 games we only ever had 4 ring slots so I doubt there will be a fifth slot in a dlc

There seems to be some confusion among the comments so here it is: you begin the game with 1 pouch. There are 3 more you can get as the game progresses for a total of 4 pouches. Also, as someone mentioned further down, they may add another pouch with some dlc in the future.

The link to Godfrey's page needs to be changed to Godfrey, First Elden Lord (Golden Shade). The pouch drops from this first version of him found in Leyndell, not the second one.

If you look at the Talisman Pouch in the Key Items tab it says that a maximum of 3 can be held. Wouldn't be surprised if there is a glitch to get a fourth, but I doubt that you are meant to be able to have 5 slots.

Alright so I can't get talisman pouch from Enia even though I have 4 great runes and it's the last one I'm missing. My friend also has only 3 talisman slots beacuse Margit didn't drop any talisman pouch so I hope FS fixes this soon as I don't want to start ng+ yet. If you want talisman pouch from Enia you'd better speak with her when you have no more than 2 great runes as i heard that might be the reason why you don't get any from her and you prob won't till it's fixed

Some people might not have noticed (or remember) it, but you begin the game with NO pouch, meaning you can't equip any talisman until you get one, hence why some people think they haven't received theirs from Margit as they got 1 or 2 (depending on if they purchased one at the RoundTable). The first one usually you can get is from the 2 old twin husks' shop in the Roundtable once you get access to it which cost 3000 runes. (You need to either die a couple of times and then you gain access once you rest at any Site of Graces or reaches the Stormhills and, again, rest at a Site of Graces.) You can get 2nd one once you reach and beat Margit. Then once you beat a 2 Lords and gain a 2 Great Rune (2nd one is usually Rennala's), Enia will give you a 3th one. Killing Godfray gives you a 4rd one.

Article is correct as far as I've seen. 1 slot as standard, +1 after killing Margit, +1 from the old lady in roundhold table next to the 2 fingers after collecting 2 great runes (so after godrick + rennala for most people), +1 after killing Godfrey in leyndell = 4 slots in total

Regarding more Talismans, I just found this on an E-Sports site:
Defeating Margit will reward players with a Talisman Pouch, giving them two slots in total.
Defeating the first Elden Lord in the Capital City will reward players with a new slot.
After that, players can get to the Finger Reader at the Table of Lost Grace for a fourth slot overall.
So, looks like it's just a balancing thing.

You get your third tailsman slot by killing Rennala in the Academy of Raua Lucaria then talking to Finger Reader Enia in the big finger room at the roundtable hub
One of the worst mechanics they introduced, you find so many talismans early on, but can only have two equipped for like half the game
