The Sacred Tower Painting is an Info Item in Elden Ring. It is a brand new Info Item in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Work of a wandering artist. Reminiscence of a painting titled "The Sacred Tower." This painter is said to have captured the landscapes seen during the last moments of those welcomed into death's embrace. The soul of the painter, and vestiges of the dead's last moments can be discovered by visiting the location depicted even now.
Where to find The Sacred Tower Painting in Elden Ring
Sacred Tower Painting can be found in a small cave north-east from Scorched Ruins in Gravesite Plain. See it in the Elden Ring Map.
Elden Ring The Sacred Tower Painting Tutorial Guide
The Solution to The Sacred Tower Painting is found on the high ground above Temple Town Ruins. This area is accessed by a Spiritspring on the north side of the platform, but it is initially blocked. The stones blocking the spiritspring can be found by funneling southwest from the spiritspring, up along the rock wall. Once up at the top, right past the Northern Nameless Mausoleum and down the western slope, explore until you find two jagged rocks. Look north-west while aligning the rocks to find the ghost. You will be rewarded with the Spiraltree Seal. See the exact location in the Shadow of the Erdtree Map.
To have the painter show up, you have to clear the shadow of the tower first by defeating Messmer the Impaler and using acquired flame to enter Enir-Ilim.

I'd accept this puzzle only being solvable so late into the DLC if the reward were good, but the Spiraltree Seal simply does not buff enough incantations for it to be worth this much effort to acquire.

Glaring omission not mentioning in the article that this CANNOT BE SOLVED until you progress the story so that the tower looks like it does in the painting. I figured that out because a player left a "first, seek ruins" message at that spot.

Random lore: I mentioned this on reddit but the painting icon cuts off the top. When you go to collect the painting you can see at the top a golden bird looking down, looks like a twinbird. Once you collect the painting you can't see this anymore.

Bugs me that there's an extra story requirement for this. All the stuff that makes it so someone trying to play the game without a guide would miss something through no fault is really frustrating.

seal available to get only after killing Messmer and Romina then burning tree after Romina, otherwise ghost is not there //no need to kill last boss for it
You have to progress to remove the shadow on the tower to let the painter show up.

Maybe you need to burn the sealing tree before he shows up? I haven't burned mine yet and he's not here.

if he doesnt spawn you need to be further into the story, so that it matches the painting

Is this a bug? Says I can't pick it up because I have the maximum amount already?
At night / late night you can’t even see the tower properly even after burning :(
