the reason its snapped is because malenia intentionally stabbed herself as seen in the story trailer to break it, in order to use the Aeonioa to defeat Radahn

So... what does it do? After the quest, you just get a souvenir or something? You're giving up a pretty awesome talisman by not killing her. Why would I want this? Does it affect the endings or something??

"Unalloyed gold", in other words, pure, of Miquella's design. Miquella's "curse" is that of purification, the needle only possesses a fraction of his power that's why it can only keep the Rot at bay. It purifies the "meddling of the outer gods" like the Rot and the other needle that heals the Frenzy. It's unalloyed, because it is still gold, but free from the influence of the Golden Order and the Great Will.
I think, there should have been an ending where you help the Haligtree Order, kind of a huge opportunity missed. I think there should have been the option to help the three late-game shardbearers.

Sadly since I’m pretty sure I gave the “potion” to Millicent, not knowing it was poison, I am locked out of getting the needle and will now have to burn the world since I got the 3 Fingers curse or whatever it’s called, this is why you don’t play games completely blind.

Follows every step as carefully as possible...defeats Malenia and excitedly waits for flower bloom after fight to use unalloyed gold needle...no flower bloom? How the f...did I screw this up? Runs around in a panic looking for flower blooms in other rooms, re-read every step, continues to run around in a panic...contemplates throwing controller through flat screen TV and sending Fromsoft hate mail...reloads area in one last attempt at finding flower bloom before throwing gaming in the garbage...oh, look...what a pretty flower.

Does this carry over to Ng+? So if I completed Millicent's questline and got this but did not turn it I to miquellas needle (which does not carry over to Ng+) can I keep this for the next game?

Worth noting that the only way to get the needle back from Millicent is to save her from the invaders at the end of her quest line. If you invade and kill her, she turns into the flower and you can't get the needle back.

Anybody know if you can skip Millicent's entire questline once Gowry gives you back the needle by taking it directly to Malenia's Scarlet Aeonia?

I am still thinking about what Millicent wanted to return to Malenia. It must be the needle but it can't just be the needle. For some reason I keep thinking that she was born of the Rot but was born more Humane. Feels like she was a piece of Malenia that wanted to return to become whole.

After turning this into Miquella's needle, take it to the dragonlord grace site in Faram Azula. There, you can consume it to rid yourself of the Fenzied flame, allowing you to choose the other endings.

So I want to get all the endings using the same save file but right now I got the frenzied flame thing, how does this work? Is Miquella's needle like an usable item or do I get rid of the frenzied flamer right after I return the unalloyed needle to the flower?

If you can't give Boc the needle yet at the East Capital Rampart site, go get some demigod armor. I bought Radahn's set.

He'll apologise for not being able to alter it and then you'll have the option to give him the needle.

After completing Millicent's questline, you can retrieve this needle and re-use it on Miquella's flower to receive Miquella's Needle in return, as well as a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.

Commander O'Niel drops this like the first guy said and he is located in the swamp next to sellia. You can easily find him by going to gowry shack and heading straight west.
