Ninth mt gelmir campsite is my personal favorite to farm these. There's 3 right by the grace site and 3 in the torrent stream. Only an 11 second run per sit if you do it without using torrent

Seethwater terminus is the best farming location for any RL. There's around 150 per canyon run. Ran on a horse is very fast and effective. RL1's can avoid zombies and fire spouts without much effort. Torrent tanks anyway here.

Right outside Volcano Cave (slightly further past the madness soldiers with humanoids outside from the merchant who sells the recipe book) is densely packed with volcanic stones. There's 7 in a line straight out the exit of the cave, you can make a little circle back and get 11, or you can pick up all of them in the fairly small area back to the first sleeping madness soldier for about 30. I think it's a lot faster than the seethwater route, and much safer (I'm farming on my RL1.) The humanoids don't pose much threat.

But is there a place to farm them outside of Mt. Gelmir? For some reason, you can't use the Small Golden Effigy anywhere in Gelmir, so there's no way to farm these while you wait to get summoned.

Best spots I've found to farm these are Seethewater River and Seethewater Terminus.
You can find volcano stones next to the site of grace.

The only pot I really like is the Volcano Pot, does pretty good damage and very easy to farm materials for because it just uses the Volcanic Stones.

                • for my fellow volcano pot enthusiasts: travel to the seethewater river site of grace and find them in abundance all along the river to the seethewater terminus site of grace. one run got me over 100 and it was super quick

Best place to farm these is the Ninth Mt Gelmir Campsite grace. There are 3 stones very close to the grace and 3 more at the torrent jump site, west of it. 6-12 volcanic stones in about 10-15 seconds per loop.

Best place I found to farm these is outside of Volcano Cave. There's at least 10 spawns all a short distance from the cave, and when you're done you can fast travel back to the grace and do it again.

If you like throwing volcano pots, primeval sorcerer azur grace has 5 rock spots. craftsmans shack has a few but they're further apart- unless youre after thin beast bones as well in which case there's a sizable herd.
