      The general trend seems to be that with Lightning infusion, when compared to Keen, the weapon gains about 10-14% more AR at the cost of now having split damage, which is worse in the late game against PvE enemies with high resistances and players with flat defenses from being higher level. Some weapons, though, get so much raw AR from Lightning infusion that it's better than Keen anyways. A few examples include the Omen Cleaver (+21% AR) and the Iron Greatsword (+18%.) No idea why these weapons in particular get so much use out of Lightning infusion, but there ya go. There are probably more, but I don't know what they are.

        Ran some numbers through damage calculators and found a few interesting weapons that could work well on lightning infusion that you might not expect. Note: since lightning scales with dex, I arbitrarily capped strength at 16 (seems like a low enough but reasonable investment to me) and set dex to 80.

        The butchering knife gets really impressive returns (760 AR) on lightning infusion thanks to its high base damage and good dex scaling. The vulgar militia shotel performs nearly as well (746 AR) with a superior moveset and reach thanks to its unusually high scaling for an elemental infusion. The claymore deserves a shoutout here for high AR (765) and an excellent moveset with those pokes and great AOW options. The omen cleaver reaches outrageous damage (819 AR!) but requires a slightly higher strength of 19.

          How come everyone saying lightning is a Dex affinity when all the Dex weapons get lower scaling after turning it to lightning?
