Winged Sword Insignia is a Talisman in Elden Ring. Winged Sword Insignia increases attack power with each successive attack. Players can use talismans in Elden Ring to boost a variety of Stats.
A talisman depicting a raised prosthetic blade.
An honor bestowed upon the knights who fought alongside Malenia the Severed.
Raises attack power with successive attacks.
The wings symbolize Malenia and her undefeated prowess. Though she never knew relief from the accursed rot she was born into, her blade was forever beautiful - and relentless.
Winged Sword Insignia Effect in Elden Ring
Winged Sword Insignia increases attack power with each successive attack.
- Increases attack power relative to the number of attacks you land. Has three tiers of attack power increase. Tiers decay to lower tiers when not attacking fast enough. Effect activates after three hits, regardless of weapon class.
- Decay duration: 1.5 seconds.
- For each tier, attack power increases by 3%, 5%, and then 10%.
- The attack power boost also affects the damage of certain Spells.

- Sell Value:
500
- Does not work with Bows.
- Incompatible with Rotten Winged Sword Insignia.
- Stacks with Millicent's Prosthesis.
- it does not work with Ghiza's wheel ash of war (spinning wheel)

So I put this on while using SSGS. 1 jump attack activates the increase damage. However you won't be able to attack fast enough for the 10% increase or to sustain the damage. But combine this will milicent prosthesis. 1 jump attack is all you need to get a massive boost.

does this work with the stormcaller AoW and its second and third casts?

Does this only start to trigger with physical attacks or does it build up with spell or incantation damage?
- Anonymous
There seems to be a minimum time needed between attacks to activate. A single R1 from a twinblade will not activate the talisman despite hitting twice, but a charged R2 from a twinblade will activate the talisman by the end. Number of inputs doesn't matter, just has to fall between the hidden min and the 1.5 max timeframe.

So, what, to achieve the 10% bonus you need to attack 9 times in a row?

100's of hours in this game, multiple play throughs and I somehow never tuned back at the start of liurnia to notice this cave.

This seems to work with certain sorceries (attack type soceries?), because it does work with Carian Greatsword for example. Couple it with the Carian Glintstone Staff, and you got some decent damage with some range and AoE.

Would it activate from the hits of shotgun-like spells like the rock fling from gurranq?

Nobody has mentioned that this is the crest for the Band of the Hawks from Berserk? I mean, they moved the wings in a touch, and there's a hand holding a sword, but this is 100% Griffith's crest.

In theory it’s for a first playthrough it’s better to get this and get the prosthesis instead of the rotted version since you can’t equip both versions of this at once

When I first saw it, I thought the one in the middle of the wings was a rifle, not a hand and sword. More like "Winged Rifle Insignia", lol.

It's this still bugged to where landing a hit at level 3 knocks you back down to level 2?

Appears to work on Magma Blade's AoW, Magma Shower. I absolutely slaughtered that giant blue golem on the cliffside near the Minor Erdtree in Caelid.
First time trying it against the golem I melted his health and would stagger him repeatedly before he could get off an attack. This talisman pairs beautifully with an upgraded Magma Blade!

fun fact : it seems hitting the fire cannons/balistas etc also triggers the effect, situational but food for thought

The short spear and cleanrot knight spear both appear to activate the insignia if you land the double thrust R2

"Effect activates after 3 hits, regardless of weapon class."
^Can someone clarify this for me? Is that three hits to activate the third tier, or three hits needed to activate the FIRST tier?
People are spreading misinformation, this doesn't affect Gravity Bolt weapon skill at all.
doesn't affect continuous damaging spells like comet azur and meteorite

Before I kill sweet Millicent, can anyone confirm this still works with the Prosthesis talisman?

This or the rotten version + thorn cracked tear + milicent talisman + ironjar perfume for infinite poise and 40% dmg negation... just attack nonstop every boss and melt them... Better with a fast blood weapons

When dual wielding, does a hit from L1 count as 2 towards the counting of the talisman? Wondering this since you are hitting twice (confirmed by the fact that if only one weapon touches the ennemy they receive reduced damage) with each input...

So upon testing a bunch of different spells and a weapons, the results are:
Spells and Incantations will trigger the talisman if it has a melee component to whatever you are using.
Spells that will work:
Carian Slicer
Carian Greatsword
Carian Piercer
Gavel of Haima
Adula's Moonblade*
Incantations that will work:
Aspects of the Crucible: Tail
Aspects of the Crucible: Horn
Black Blade*
Lansseax's Glaive*
Adula's Moonblade, Black Blade, and Lansseax's Glaive will only work if you hit the enemy with the melee portion, NOT the projectiles. On the same note, the arc attacks from weapons such as the Dark Moon Greatsword and Moonveil do not work, only the melee portion will. (I'm too lazy to test more weapons)
Spells and Incantations that are either ranged or AoE will not work, so basically everything else.
Some Spells and Incantations that does not work even though it seems they would:
Shatter Earth, Rock Blaster (neither the drilling component nor the explosion triggers the talisman)
Briar of Sin, Briar of Punishment
Tibia's Summon
Rejection, Wrath of Gold
Ancient Dragons' Lightning Spear (doesn't have a melee component, only the AoE)
Noble Presence
Bloodflame Talons (the claws swipe doesn't actually do damage, only the explosion does)
Inescapable Frenzy (funny enough this one does have a melee component and damages on contact but does not work)
I do not have all the spells and incantations so some of them might be missing from this list, you will have to test those on your own.
Lastly, it seems that the slower the method you use to trigger this talisman (be it spells, incantations or weapons), the less hits you need to land. This is the only part that is very inconsistent in my testing so you will have to figure it out for yourself.

This Item appears bugged as of now?
It seems to have 5 stages. first stage is 3% increase, second stage is 8% increase total, third stage is 5% increase total (so it goes down), fourth stage is 15% increase total, the fifth and final stage is 10% increase total.
My "R Armament 1" AR total is 400, after spamming L1 into something until it dies the AR total is 440. Then I watch it decay. it goes 440 > 462 > 420 > 432 > 412.

Does the Ghiza Wheel's special chainsaw move proc the talisman?

I killed this boss but i didn't get the item in my inventory is there a fix for this, tried resetting the cave and running back and still nothing...

did a little bit of testing with Marais Executioner's Sword +6 and using the weapon skill, my AR went from 453 to 592, which I'm pretty sure is about a 30% increase. makes me wonder how much AR I'll get if i put the other two ramp talismans on.

14% seems low for the numbers I'm getting. Do the tiers stack multiplicatively?
- Anonymous
Not sure if it’s been documented but with the ash of war you get from Horah Loux, the shout you do before the actual slam will boost your AR if it hits any enemies near you, adds a quick dmg boost to the actual hit of the skill, pretty neat

This didn't drop when I beat this npc. The bugs in this game need to be fixed. There are way to many

This talisman activates on hit, not on button press or attack. I tested it with Eleonora's Poleblade and was able to activate it off of one fully charged R2. Not only that, but because the full charge hits so many times, it activated higher tiers of the talisman.

Is the WINGED SWORD INSIGNIA better than the ROTTEN WINGED SWORD INSIGNIA?

I'm assuming if I dual wield and use one attack it counts as two? since both swords hit
Hmm, this didn't drop when I killed him. It did on my previous playthrough.

does this work for the longhorn's bubbles? that could be a build if it does

Now the real question here...do "successive attacks" mean with every damage application or every activation of an attack? Using dual twinblades, a single L1 can hit 2-4 times. Will this give me multiple stacks or only one?
Decent for weapons that hit more per press/click. I used to run with this for my dual twinblades. I *think* it took 3-4 hits to proc the damage boost with dual twinblades using the powerstance attack patterns. So, only two L1 presses and the proc is there.

Does it stack with millicents talisman which increases dex and attack power with successive attacks

does this stack with twinblade talisman? would it serve to buff the final attack of the combo more?

Does Ghiza's Wheel weapon art cause this to stack? That'd be a bit insane

Doesn't seem to stack with any ashes of war: roars - roar buff gets removed as soon as you get the red glow from this talisman.

wtf is a successive attack i dropped outta highschool thats why im stuck at home and play elden ring 24/7 someone plz explain this scientific sentence
- Anonymous
Did some testing with claws: Got 1 buff stack per 4 attacks / 2 attacks for dual wield per enemy hit. Each stack raises damage by ~5-7% and last for 5 seconds. The stacks expired individually, so realistically you can only have 1-2 stacks at a time while fighting. You glow red when buffed.
- Anonymous
How long does the buff last? As long as you're attacking only or is there a number of seconds you have so you can dodge and continue to stack
- Anonymous
Does this work with Wild Strikes? I would assume not but am curious.
- Anonymous
This appears to give a flat +2 damage to each successive attack. This applies even if the attacks didn't hit anything.

how much damage does this actually add? does anyone have any numbers for it?
