You've always been so kind. So uncompromising.
My champion." - she is not saying this as a kindness to us. Its spite. She not only speaks it, but then also writes it in a letter. She wanted us to end her, but we refused. This is also after when she finds out what was happening with the Volcano Manor and what she really is. If you left her alive, you've unleashed hell unto the Lands Between.

i accidentally killed her coming back from looking at the wiki by left clicking on my 2nd monitor and instantly alt f4'd. curse my +25 heavy greatsword.

        • Anonymous

I gave her the tonic of forgetfulness and then I killed her so not only did she forget who I am but she died in peace

          • Anonymous

Yeah, I have a horrid feeling that leaving her alive is not the good ending.

She wants to continue her mother's work. Tanith's work. Tanith is the lover of Rykard and devours his corpse after you kill him. The reason Tanith does that is to act as Eiglay's next vessel, the immortal snake that devours gods. If that's the legacy Rya/Zorayas wants to take up, she will eventually clash with the Tarnished for the Elden Throne, when you become Elden Lord. Exactly like Tanith would, if you let her live.

That's why her farewell is bittersweet and calls you uncompromising. Because you let her live, knowing what she is and what her actual path in life is. And that's why when you find her true nature, she goes in hiding; she knows that if you find her, you'll have to fight.

            - Morinmeth.

              So, the 'Good' path is:
DON'T give the Tonic of Forgetfulness to Rya.
              Defeat Rychard.
Go back to Rya'socation where she leaves you a Farewell Letter and Talisman.

Even painful memories are part of life, and they can make one a better person; it is hoped that the experience will help Rya to be someone better, unlike her "mother".

P.S. Much like Bocc, Rya is beautiful in my eyes.

I didn't get the letter after finishing her quest, only the talisman. I did Tanith's quest line up until she asks to port you to Rykard (mistake, maybe?), and then did Rya's quest line at the manor up until she moved locations and asked me to kill her. Tanith had no dialogue in relation to Rya's quest at this point (couldn't get tonic from her), her only dialogue options were to port to Rykard. The only way to get the Tonic of Forgetfulness was to kill Rykard and get it from Tanith's chair after she leaves. I then talked to Rya in her second location, gave her the tonic, and then talked to her again back in the manor to finish her quest. If you want the letter or Tanith's dialogue, I think not doing the last last assassination in Mountaintop of the Giants before Rya's quest is the way to get it.

I didn't seem to get the letter in NG+, although it was removed from my inventory, pretty sure. Not too important but might be a bug? I spared her in Journey 1, and gave her the potion in Journey 2.

I ran past the abductor to talk to her in her hiding spot and it caught up to me, used a ranged attack and killed her -_-

DLC possibility, for those who have Zoraya's Letter can access her DLC and for those who killed her or didn't do her questline right can't, until they get it right.

I put out of her misery. She was born out of messed up ritual to a cannibalistic family full of bloodthirsty hunters.

                            There are atleast 3 NPCs who have an ending where they say they are going to set out on a great journey and feel that they will cross paths with you again;

                            Rya, Jarbug and Jerren

                            • I've already fixed other instances of the typo, but I can't seem to fix the title of this page.

Her name is "Zorayas", NOT "Zoraya". The correct title for this page would be "Zorayas' letter". How can I edit this myself?

Reading the content of the letter makes me happier about giving her the potion. Wherever she goes after cleaning her memory is probably better than trying to be a new Tanith.

it would probably be nice to put what the letter says in the description. idk just seems like common sense.

Just got it, this is what the letter says:

Farewell letter written in an inexpert hand.

"I wish to set out on a journey.
