Converted Tower is a Location in Elden Ring. The Converted Tower is found in Liurnia of the Lakes. Players can reach this location easily on foot or on horseback by following the marshes in the southwest of the lakes up to the western landmass. Players can access its second level by climbing the decayed back part of the building.

Converted Tower Walkthrough
There are a few items to be gathered at the Converted Tower. You can find a Cuckoo Glintstone just as you enter the tower. In between the tower and the walls behind it, there is a Magic Grease to be found.
You can find a Memory Stone at the top of the tower. The top of the tower is sealed by a puzzle. Read the message at the foot of the statue to find out what the puzzle is.
To clear the puzzle, perform the Erudition gesture in front of the statue. The gesture can be obtained by giving Thops an Academy Glintstone Key at the Church of Irith.
If you don't have the Erudition gesture unlocked yet and you're skilled enough on horseback, the puzzle can be skipped by climbing the broken stone wall on the sides of the tower (either on foot or by horse) and then using Torrent to jump into the balcony from the back. While the climb up the wall can be done on foot, you must use Torrent's double jump to reach the balcony.
Once you reach the balcony simply climb up the steps to reach the room at the top, with the chest in the middle of it.
After collecting the Memory Stone, the seal on the door should release.
Elden Ring Converted Tower Gallery and Notes
- Converted Tower appears to be very frequently mistaken for the Converted Fringe Tower, that is located northwest of Liurnia of the Lakes near the Black Knife Catacombs. This tower contains the sorceries Cannon of Haima and Gavel of Haima instead of the Memory Stone.
- If you choose to use Erudition, note that it takes several seconds before the ladder appears, so just let the gesture animation keep going and don't end it prematurely until you see the ladder materialise.

You don't even need to use torrent to get in there without doing the puzzle. A running jump can get onto the roof from the wall.

This guide forgets: You need a glintstone crown to solve the puzzle. It will not unlock the door, if you don't put one on.

I've checked this wiki for an hidden room because I had missed the puzzle dialogue on my first run. I did not even think the memory stone WAS the treasure for solving the puzzle, I thought it was obvious you had to climb the tower and its perfectly inclined ruined walls to get it

Today I learned that there is an intended way to enter the tower. I always thought hopping onto the roof on Torrent is how you're supposed to do it.

Just jump and start to hold sprint in the air (keep it presses). Then just forward and jump to do a sprint jump onto the balcony. Probably easier than on Torrent

Only the use of the gesture is not enough for the passage to open. There should probably be a prerequisite related to how many intelligence points the character has. I only have 10 int and I used the gesture in front of the statue, nothing happened.

you can actually do the jump from the wall onto the second floor on foot, you don't need Torrent for the double jump at all.

The wall around the tower clearly takes you to the second floor. I mean, just look at it. It says: "climb on me for god's sake". Didn't even realize there's a puzzle until I opened this page.

I honestly thought going up the wall and jumping in with torrent was the intended solution

With how its laid out the eradication emote seems to be the more difficult while jumping on horseback is the real method

you can make that jump without Torrent. i got the memory stone with my own jump, and only found out it was supposed to be gated just now, after the fact. get a little running momentum and you'll make it

Erudition worked without the crown for me, I was wearing Loretta's headpiece

You can pretty easily use your goat to double jump atop the wall and from there to the roof, skipping the gesture puzzle.

It's wrong, it's the Converted Fringe Tower, and the chest has Gavel of Haima + Cannon of Haima

You need to equip a glintblade mask too in order to solve the puzzle

...I don't know why I went back here to try out the Erudition gesture I got from giving Thop the extra key I found, but I did.
Mainly because I was curious. Anyway, there's no reason to go through all that effort for the memory stone. Torrent will help you get up top if you climb along the crumbled walls and double-jump up there like I did way back when.

whats the point of the puzzle if you can just jump to the top from the outside? eh
Hey everyone, just added a little note. If you choose to do the puzzle via the Erudition gesture, it seems to take at least 5 seconds before the ladder shows up. So I would say don't end the gesture animation prematurely until the ladder materialises, even if it seems to be taking long. Also, the crowns aren't necessary. Hope I helped!
