Village of the Albinaurics

village of the albinaurics 1

The cursemongers have destroyed the home of the old Albinaurics, but perhaps hope is not lost for them to find their promised land.

Village of the Albinaurics is a Location in Elden Ring. The Village of the Albinaurics is found in Liurnia of the Lakes, by exploring the swamp area on the south-western shores. There is a slope (just SSW of the "Folly on the Lake" Site of Grace) heading to the village that is now adorned with corpses and carcasses, as the cursemongers have taken over the location.

Village of the Albinaurics Map

The Village of the Albinaurics is found in the southern landmass of Liurnia. Note that the village is actually under the plateau and is accessible early in the game. The top of the plateau is accessible only after making significant progress in the story. [Elden Ring Map Link]

Village of the Albinaurics Walkthrough

The Village of the Albinaurics can be located at the northwest section of the map from Stormveil Castle and the nearest starting point to travel to the village is at the Liurnia Lake Shore site. Map Link. As you travel by mount, simply move northwest and run alongside the cliff. Remain on the left side, pass through a swamp section, and just ignore the enemies you run into until you reach the distressed village. You'll know when you're near once you reach the swamp section and upon going up to a rise of the land - the name of the location will appear upon formally arriving at the village.

As you enter, move towards the house, check behind it to find the Village of the Albinaurics Site. Map Link. Discover and rest here before you start to explore. Now, clear this section first around the house where the player will encounter First-Generation Albinaurics. Make sure to also loot the body near a stone coffin to obtain a Larval Tear, and grab the materials around to find Mushroom and Rowa Fruit. Next, turn around and heap up the hill where you'll encounter a single Depraved Perfumer, killing it may drop 5x Budding Cave Moss. If you walk forward, passing the two houses, on the right side, you'll see a disguised NPC. This turns out to be Albus, who will give you an important key item for your journey. Hit the pot to reveal him.

Before exhausting his dialogue, he will give you a key item, the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right). Speak to him again, exhaust his lines, and he will eventually die due to old age. Before you continue towards the boss, make sure to check behind the stone coffin next to Albus, there's another corpse that you can pillage to acquire an Ivory Sickle. If you don't need to rest at the site, you can proceed to the boss by crossing the stone bridge on this hill.

As you cross, you'll see a golden teardrop scarab. Make sure to kill it before it disappears. On the other side, you'll see a willow tree and a bonfire. The Omenkiller boss is there, as well as a few Rotten Stray. We suggest that you kill the hounds first so that you can fight the boss one on one. Instead of going down the slope, straight to the bonfire, jump down from the right side of the cliff and kill the Rotten Stray. Once the area is clear, then you can approach the bonfire and fight the Omenkiller.

You can visit the Omenkiller page to find more information about this boss, as well as guides and strategies on how to defeat this enemy. Successfully killing this boss yields 4900 Runes and drops the Crucible Knot Talisman. Make sure to also check the right side of this small arena and you will another body at the end of the path, pillage it to find a Rune Arc.

Before you leave this location, there is just one more section you need to clear. Return to the site of the village, next to the house near it, you'll find a wooden bridge. Cross the wooden bridge, kill the First-Generation Albinaurics and make sure to loot the bodies here to find some items, as well as gathering Erdleaf Flower. One can be found resting by the tree trunk, loot it to acquire an Albinauric Bloodclot, while the other is near a ledge, pillage that body to find a Crystal Sword.

"The top of the plateau is accessible only after making significant progress in the story."

What story? Never found any story in any FromSoft-games, just a bunch och NPCs with random ramblings.

WTF!?! I come back after a break/absence and the Depraved Perfumer doesn't play his flute anymore?? Why in the hell was that cut?!? Absolutely ridiculous patching that out of the game.

        • Anonymous

I think the water supply of the village was poisoned by perfumers. If you look around the village, you'll see a lot of wells, probably used to draw water from below, where there's now a small pool of poison. However, you don't find any lifeforms native to poisonous areas - like Miranda Flowers or Land Squirts - suggesting the poison hasn't been there for long, and the texture on the surface looks remarkably similar to the swamp around the Shaded Castle, which seems to attract a lot of perfumers as well. Another clue are the groups of two to three Albinaurics scattered around the lake who cough up poisonous clouds that contain small white particles - remarkably similar to what the Poisonous Spraymist perfume looks like when you use it. So that's probably how the Omenkiller and Depraved Perfumer you find at the scene were able to destroy an entire village.

          • Anonymous

Depraved perfumer here used to play the same instrument as the depraved perfumer in Leyndell before burning the tree. Sucks that they took his animation away because the only other dude who plays that beautiful song is gone once the capital is ash. I remember when the game first came out I sat behind the tree listening to him strum for like 30 minutes straight.

I was trying to find a way up the mountain to get in the teleport to starting area. Found the rope bridge and thought "maybe you climb from inside".
Jumped a lot an skyrim'ed the rocks, found the Cristal sword, but now I lost my hope of getting there early after reading the wiki :(

PS: my samurai isn't smart enough to hold a sword lol

              • Anonymous

So, are there no Albinaurics here? There’s a lot of freakish human looking enemies crawling around, but no albinaurics. Also, who or what is a curse monger?

I have been searching for ages for its entrance. Please improve the following description

Yea they drop a whole armor set as well for anyone wondering not sure of the rates. 10 Arcane here about 20 kills in received gloves and headscarf so far…along with some bundles of 5 supplies listed above.

                    • "Also, if you check under the bridge leading from the swamp up to the village, you can find x2 of the Stormhawk Axe weapon."
There's no bridge leading up to this place, it's a slope.

Feels like a huge Sekiro "Easteregg".

A Lost Village, a guy plays some music, if you attack him he uses sekiro firework against you. An old man in a vase who gives you have a medaillon (half a mask in Sekiro)

Someone should check that stormhawk axe thing, can't even find a bridge that goes from swamp up to the village. There is one between the boss and rest of the village which goes over ramp from swamp to the village, but no sign of axes there. And there is the rope bridge, but no axes under that either. The map positions for most of the village objects also seem misplaced in the interactive map.

there is an npc named albius who is magically cloaked as a rock and gives you a quest item, a ghost that sits at a well, a campfire spawn for nepheli after defeating the boss (omen killer)

Anyone know what the pryomancer enemy is called and if I can get it's set? It's the enemy playing a flute before the stone bridge in this village

Whats the deal with this place? Pretty empty overall and the enemies feel displaced aswell. Am i, like, missing something here?
