Note: You cannot give this to the Twin Maiden Husks again if you've already done it in a previous playthrough. It may be in your inventory but it will not show up in the menu to offer them.

Found best item to give runes to friends. The poison one buys for 1200, sells for 100. That's 8.3% rune effectivity. Is the same as the crab (buys for 600, sells for 50) but the difference is they can hold 99, and you can give a friend 99 at the same time so he sells them! And costing them double than the crabs, you can store more runes in those 99 slots!

Of course there are better rune-store items. If you want to store runes, buy the 3 first smithing stones. 50% storage value and can hold a lot, but can't trade them for friends. The most efficient one is the magic stones consumables (cost 300, sells for 100. That's 33% value), but can only be given 10 by 10 and only sold 10 by 10, having to rest dozens of times in the grace and... No, thanks, it's a pain. I prefer to lose runes (I'm high level, I have a lot) and just give my friend 99 neutralizing boluses to sell. I spend 118 800 runes I don't need (I don't want to level up past 120) and he gets 9900 free runes.

If anyone knows a better way...

The cheese strategy is to be on horseback , get get some distance, and shoot a couple of arrows. Get distance again. “ No skill ahead, therefore range battle.”

Considering how hard he is to kill, it is really stupid he doesn't sell the only bolus that matters, preserving to clear Scarlet Rot. The Preserving Bolus is the only one that takes a limited item to craft, and while incantations can cleanse you, not everyone is going to put points into faith on every character.

If you're wondering why he doesn't appear when you "Pass Time" to nightfall, pass the time and then rest at the site of grace again. The merchant should now be gone and you can go get slapped around by this guy.
