Elden Ring Exile Soldier Combat information
Values presented in Red refer to the "Large Exile Soldiers" variant. If absent, value is shared with normal Exile Soldiers.
- Exile Soldier Health: 134 - 735 HP | 318 - 1053 HP
- Poise: 30
Absorptions
- Phy (Standard): 0
- Phy (Slash): 10 - 12
- Phy (Strike): 0
- Phy (Pierce): (-12) - (-10)
The absorption numbers are the % of your damage that gets blocked. For example, if an absorption is 60, 40% of that damage by that type will go through and 60% is absorbed. Bigger number = less damage. An absorption of 100 means no damage goes through, and a resistance of -100 mean the enemy takes 2x damage from that source. 0 means damage goes pretty much as is.
Resistances
- Poison: 168 - 182 | 230 - 243
- Scarlet Rot: 168 - 182 | 230 - 243
- Hemorrhage: 224 - 243 | 230 - 243
- Frostbite: 224 - 243
- Sleep: 224 - 243
* Higher tier Exile Soldiers are immune to Poison, Scarlet Rot, Hemorrhage and Frostbite.
The resistance numbers are the buildup amount to trigger it. For example, if a resistance is 100 you must deal 100 points of whatever aux buildup to trigger it. Note that these go down over time, and increase each time the effect procs.

Soooo, what's the penal colony supposed to be? I doubt it would be Castle Sol since they probably arrived alongside Niall as part of his army, and Stormveil is not the type of place I would regard as such either, even if it has clearly seen better days.

2%... for a MF spear?! I was farming one soldier for around 25 minutes then I got fed up with it and just killed Patches. People have schools, jobs and colleges. This game has inhuman game design.

I wish they were more threatening. Enemies in this game can be stunlocked and burst down so easily.

Just started playing DS3 again, and I noticed that these particular enemies seem to be re-used from the corpses along the garden of dead knights in lower Lothric Castle.

would be cool if they could drop their swords, with the thorns and all, it would be perfect for a Penitent One cosplay

I’m guessing these guys don’t drop their swords since it isn’t mentioned in the drops section and people are asking about it. Also… I’ve farmed all their equipment listed, which took a fair bit of time, but no sword dropped.

Their sword is the regular LongSword for all the people wondering

Would’ve been cool to get a straight sword that had a similar moveset to the way these soldiers use theirs.

Can anyone confirm if they drop both the Marred Leather Shield and Marred Wooden Shield? I have killed over 200 of each wielding their respective shields and couldn't get their shields............

I can confirm they drop Bolts but I never got Lordsworn's bolts from them. Can anyone confirm if they drop Lordsworn's bolts?

The name of this page is wrong, their armor and the description of said armor makes it more than obvious.

Living proof that Elden Ring lacks full cosplay potential. These are the most fickle soldiers in terms of equipment. We can get their armor, but with a “small” proviso, they will be modified, it would seem cool, but here are the shields of these soldiers, which, by the way, do not fall from them, but for some reason they retained that very zest of the exiles in the form of roots, so why no armor? There is a model of shields without roots in the game, it is used everywhere as decoration, but we cannot get it, and we also do not have access to all the weapons of the exiles in their original style, but it was the shields that were preserved in their original form. As a result, we have the armor of the exiles, without roots, but with damage, like the exiles themselves (I don’t understand the logic at all, because their weapons do not have the same damage as their armor), the weapons of the exiles, without roots and their original design in the hands of the exiles , but we can get their shields in the same form as in the hands of the exiles themselves. Theoretically, full-fledged cosplay is possible, but in the end you will end up with an assortment of weapons, which stand out in their cleanliness against the background of damaged armor, as well as shields with roots, which are very unsuitable for the rest of the equipment. Why it was impossible to preserve all the elements of equipment in their original form is unknown, only guesswork remains: for example, the weapons were left in their pure form so that they could be fully used for other sets. But the ideal solution would be to bring all the equipment of the exiles into ideal shape, repair the armor, issue shields without roots and without damage, and also keep the weapons in their already clean form. This was the best option that would please everyone, but in the end we have a failed cosplay set.
