Tarnished's Wizened Finger is a Multiplayer Item in Elden Ring. Multiplayer Items allow players to interact with each other in various ways, including leaving messages for other players to read, co-operative gameplay and competitve gameplay like PVP.
Item for online play.
(Can also be used from the Messages menu.)
Use to write messages. Your messages will be conveyed to other worlds, allowing other players to read them.
A finger of corpse wax, so emaciated the bone is visible.
It is a relic of those who came before, left to help those who would come after.

As of V1.04.1 it appears you don't actually need this item to write messages, you can do so from the inventory message tab without using the item. Also if it isn't picked up in the beginning of the game, the tiem will disappear,
Can you write 10 per character without others being overwritten?
Is there an item that you can use to show more messages written by other players? Like that certain miracle in Dark Souls 1

I didn't realize my messages got deleted after you write too many (heartbreaking), and I can't figure out the maximum limit. Does anyone know the number?

I only seem to be able to write one line messages. But I seen messages with two lines in them eg: First off.... Be wary off ....
How do you write two line messages?

Probably irrelevant, but the corpse this is found on isn't generic. It has a face made in the character creator if you look closely enough, sort of reminds me of Melina.
ive started grifting for appraisals im ngl . im just copying other people's messages and putting them in the same spot so only one can show up at a time
