Fire Monk Ashes is a Spirit and Summon in Elden Ring. Fire Monk Ashes are used to summon the spirit of a Fire Monk.

Fire Monks can also be found as Enemies in Elden Ring. For more information, see Fire Monk.

Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell.
Use to summon the spirit of a Fire Monk.

Spirit of a stout monk who monitored the Giants' Flame. Versed in fire incantations, and himself steeled against fire.
Though he was charged with keeping watch over the Flame, after many years of solemn duty, he has succumbed to its allure.

Where to find Fire Monk Ashes

Where to Find Fire Monk Ashes

  • Looted from a chest in the Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs:
  • Descend the first lift you find and then step on the plate again to send it back up. When fully raised, there is a second platform on the lift that will take you to the lowest levels of the catacombs. Continue through this path past two frost breath traps. The spell is found in a chest behind the second trap. [Elden Ring Map Link]

You know, if this and Amon's ashes taught me anything, it is to stay away from the Giant's flame, because guarding it makes you borderline useless. While running from it makes you a giga-chad.

Not bad but you get it so late. You'll likely have at least one legendary summon by the time you get this one.

If you can afford the resources, surprisingly tanky at +9. I was doubtful after finding these ashes, distinctly because my first thought was "really? Those guys I fought waaay back in Liurnia? I don't even remember them being all that much of a fight, how come I'm finding these things HERE, where the enemies are way tougher?" Lore-wise it makes sense, of course...

But I'll be fair, he's aggressive (perhaps not to the level of, say, Kaiden Sellsword, but he's certainly not passive), he can actually take a few hits, and the icing on the cake (or, perhaps, the one single aspect for which he, in my opinion, should be most notable): a wide variety of different flame-tinged attacks, some of them actually having quite large AOEs.

So, in summation, if you're fighting against animal-type enemies or enemies that are weak to fire, he's actually pretty damned good (especially for the FP cost, if that's a major concern for ya). If not... yeah, I guess you could find better elsewhere. Don't mark him down as useless though. When you need the fire, he's got it.

Very good from my experience I have them up to plus 9 and they have been destroying mobs and I have not tried them on that many bosses but when I used him on a crystallian duo he was able to do more damage than me on the boss. I have not had the fire monk for to long but from my experience so far he is extremely tacky and can deal a lot of damage. Would recommend giving him a try.

If anyone has this and has used it, could you list some of the incantations he does and give like a 2 sentence review? i'm guessing he's not too good since there are almost no comments and i've never heard of them.

There are two stone cat guardians in this section of the dungeon. These are usually end of dungeon mini bosses. You can lure the second one back to the trap and then stand on it.

Anyone try these out? Are these ashes any good?
                  ...
                  ...
                  ...
I guess I could try them myself... I wonder what a good testing area would be?
