Uplifting Aromatic is a Consumable Item in Elden Ring. Most Consumables grant various effects such as restorative properties for recovering HP, removing certain negative status effects or applying temporary buffs and debuffs, while others can be thrown at enemies to deal damage.

Art of the perfumers who fought in the Shattering.
Craftable with a perfume bottle.

Uses FP to raise the attack power of the user and nearby allies while also reducing the damage from one incoming attack by half.
This aromatic has an extremely potent morale-raising effect that makes those accustomed to it fearless in the face of death. It was this influence that made the perfumers exceptional commanders.

Uplifting Aromatic use in Elden Ring

Uplifting Aromatic can be used to boosts ally attack power and reduces incoming damage once.

  • Physical Damage +10% (7.5% in PvP)
  • All Damage Negation +90% until hit
  • Duration: 40 secs

This is an Aura Buff and will not stack with other buffs of the same type.

Perfumer's Cookbook [1] can be found in the Perfumer's Ruins above the Unsightly Catacombs Grace on Mt Gelmir.

Elden Ring Uplifting Aromatic Notes & Tips

  • You can hold up to 10 Uplifting Aromatic.
  • You can store up to 10 Uplifting Aromatic.
  • The damage resistance bubble of this item persists after applying another buff of the same type.
However, it is confirmed that the attack power buff is lost.
  • Damage negation stacks with Opaline Bubbletear, but the number of hits until it breaks is unchanged.

After some testing, this does not stack with Rallying standard either and removes it. But you can apply standard afterward to get the defense bonus, but it will overwrite the attack bonus just like with Golden vow.

You're better off going with Bloodboil if you're running Rallying standard as they fully stack and benefit each other greatly.

Uplifting Aromatics and Blessings Boon on Greatshield Soldier ashes has made the Crystalian * x bosses much more enjoyable in my latest NG.

On the off-chance you didn't know, if you summon Mimic Tear with any consumables on your item bar, they get unlimited uses of those consumables. Uplifting Aromatic is the obvious go-to, but you give them acid spraymist, ritual pots, or whatever else, and you can turn them into a support monster. It's probably not better than just having them copy your damage build, but it can be an interesting & unconventional way of using them. It's like having a customizable Jarwright in your arsenal.

I was so excited when I got to the eternal city and could start crafting these... right up until I realized that I'd only built up so many arteria leaves by not using them and they're a completely non-renewable resource.

            • Anonymous

Use this before casting golden vow for the best results. Since golden vow will actually be completely overwritten by the attack +aura effect on the uplifting aromatic. But, if you've used this before casting golden vow the bubble effect will stay on which allows us the best of both.

Easily tested by using golden vow, and then this. You'll have no buffs after 40 seconds when golden vow is supposed to last 80.

The bubble effect itself, is canceled by endure. So there's no point to using them together.

              • Golden Vow (Physical Portion) Damage Boost + Opaline Bubbletear in a (different) bottle. with no requirements other than the materials needed to craft it and the FP needed to "cast" it. Suffice it to say this is a pretty good item, it stacks with Exalted Flesh multiplicatively for a very chunky damage boost. Now if only Arteria Leaves were easier to obtain large quantities of...

To save you some time: This gives two separate buffs, an aura damage boost and a unique bubble shield. The bubble popping does NOT remove your damage boost.

However said damage boost won’t stack with something like golden vow (while the bubble will.)

                  • Anonymous

Basically the Opaline Bubbletear physic and a phys-only Ritual Sword Talisman on demand. Excellent if you prefer dodging and deal physical damage.

i'm not really someone who tries to cheese or use phantoms in souls games, but when i fought placidusax i used the leyndell soldier ashes and made frequent use of this item as well as other faith buffs before his really powerful attacks. was seriously one of the coolest feelings, like i'm a commander leading my soldiers in a charge against this great dragon, and it really made me feel like i was playing a real rpg where i'm casting protection buffs on my party right before the boss does its wipe attack. the game has its ups and downs but it did give me some truly unique experiences and i'm glad i kinda phased out of my solo purist mindset a little bit

NIce for when you get low health, as it basically works as another Bubble Tear shield. Also can be used instead of Bubble Tear, opening another slot for something in your Physick.

I laugh when people use this in pvp, it's just so easy to remove the shield.

infact, if you don't like people having these bubble shields, you can literally just equip any piece of briar armor and roll into enemies to remove this type of shield

i was able to first try placidusax with no knowledge of anything he does because i had time to use this item between his attacks. pretty good

                            • Hands-down the best perfume for pretty much any build. It's an aura buff for a bit of extra damage, but more importantly can almost completely block the next instance of damage received. Works wonders in boss fights.

Hot tip: In co-op, when bosses get staggered most players try to rush in for the crit. During that animation, neither the player nor the boss can take damage, but the player can still get this effect. So rush in alongside everyone else, but use the opportunity to throw perfume where everyone has conveniently congregated.

I've also used it to tap out other players in boss co-op, if they get into serious danger and the boss is after them. I'm usually doing magic at mid/long rangr, but in those instances I race towards the player, uplift them, then start meleeing to quickly draw aggro away. Works like a charm for preventing death by panic roll.

Idk if this can be a helpful tip, maybe for endgame walkthrough exclusively for Mimic tear, Its like the Opaline bubble tear but perfume. Havent tested on mimic yet but if this works. Maybe equip it and not use it at all? and hopefully Mimic use it before any fight.

the aromatic lasts for only 40 seconds, why the f uck has nobody updated the wiki yet? game's been out for like 3 months now? lmao

                                  • Anonymous

Something that the wiki doenst say is that the "damage buff" only doenst stack with golden vow and they overwrite each other but the bubble remains , so if you use the aromatic first than golden vow , all you will loose is the 10 % damage boost of the aromatic but you will still have the bubble and golden vow together

                                    • Anonymous

Fun fact: this is the only buff in the game that can stack with EVERYTHING, meaning it won’t cancel out other buffs.

                                      • Anonymous

God-tier for the Hero's Grave dungeons. Chariots are NOT instant death, their damage will be reduced to minimal amounts by this item, and you can craft however many you want to cheese the entire dungeon.

                                        • Anonymous

Put this in your quick item slot without using it: this will allow your Mimic Tear to access infinite uses of it as they never actually consume items or use FP.

As an invader you can use this to buff other mobs and NPC's ect. stacks with Moghs rune too for extra strong enemies

If you're invading and using this it also buffs the mobs similarly to how the Perfumers buff you and the PvE.

GOAT item for any co-op against any of the more difficult bosses. I prevented so much one-shot kills on Malenia just now with this item.

Damage reduction is identical to that of Opaline Bubbletear—multiplies incoming damage by 0.1x, once. Additionally stacks multiplicatively with Opaline Bubbletear, meaning your next hit will be reduced by 99% of damage.

The Spirit Ash for Perfumer Tricia will use this Aromatic periodically.

                                                  • provides a decent increase to all dmg dealt (not just attack power) as well as a shield that almost negates a single attack. the real power is using it with your mimic as you both get the buffs and your mimic will even use it itself.

people are really sleeping on this one, barely saw a single person use it 2 weeks past release.
