Flame of the Fell God and this right thrown right through is a nice surprise

Tired of people somehow jumping over your incants and taking little to no damage? aim this bad boy at your feet and watch 'em fly!

I’m not even mad when this thing misses in pvp, I just like looking at the explosion

The absolute MVP (Most Valuable Piromancy) among all and I say ALL Souls games until now. Yes, even better than Demon's Souls "Firestorm". The knockback makes this spell, seeing humanoids BTFO both in PvE and PvP is orgasmic.
Maybe it will be dethroned in Shadow of the Erdtree, but I doubt it.

One simple tool to make jump attack spamming gankers look rather silly.

This spell is stupid good. Doesn't matter if your running pve or pvp this spell does damage. Put on the godfrey icon and congratulations. You're now doing almost 2,000 damage per charged cast. I feel bad for anyone fighting a pyromancer in pvp right now. Only free aim this. Lock on in elden ring sucks.

Cycling between the quick cast and the charged one to roll-catch, and in general catch people off-guard in PvP. It's great to see their health disappear while they're buffed and wearing their Bull-Goat and Lionel's sets.
get exploded lol

Like most spells in this game, the locked on version really sucks at actually reaching enemies from range. Same problem existed in DS3 with chaos bed vestiges; the spells slant downwards to the ground when locked on instead of having a straight path. Meaning you either have to get much closer than you think or try and throw it unlocked. A big shame really

Did some tests. You can stack the following buffs: flame grant me strength, golden vow, howl of shabriri, godfrey icon, fire scorpion charm, flock canvas, ritual sword talisman and two giant seals.
Then you just throw an oil pot for a 50% damage increase and you get a literal win button against most enemies. Flame fall upon them doesn’t allow you this benefit since each fireball counts as a single hit and only that one gets buffed with the pot.

For a laugh as an invader, charge this thing up while locked on to the host then 180 at the last second when a summon tries to ambush you. Gets em every time.

It is indeed a very meaty fireball, but it never feels quite as impactful to hit with as you'd think it should. Choose this if budgeting your mana is very low on your list of concerns.

An almost perfect incantation, i just wish fromsoft would increase its projectile life-span a bit to enable farther throws with it (currently if you aim up as much as possible, which should theoreticaly grant you the most range, the fireball will expire befire hitting the ground)

Need buff, this thing deal less dmg than black flame vs boss.

My favorite spell is always the big awesome fireball and oh boy does this one scratch that itch perfectly. Just look at it as it flies, and that explosion too. Beautiful.

very cool/fun to use in pve, surprisingly low faith (compared to some other Beeg Incantations). In pvp, it gets a bit dumb though. Probably moreso an issue due to fromsoft's old netcode, but i swear the number of times i've been hit by the full blast despite being well outside the particle effects or whatever is like, pretty much every time? but listen if mages get to have big-stupid-explosion-spell-with-hurt-box-bigger-than-actually-effects then i guess faith users get one too. ideally we'd have neither and just hold hands or whatever but we all know fromsoft isn't updating the netcode or caring too much about online play in general so until then kaboom

If you know how to free aim this no opponent will escape your mortar strike.

The hitbox and damage on this are ridiculous. I can cast this a few times without even aiming properly and I'm winning fights in the colosseum. Too OP, needs a nerf.

Mimic tear summon + only equip this spell = tactical incendiary boss extermination squad

do yall think this is worth getting to 30 faith for an arcane/faith build? mainly using dragon and blood incants, with frenzied burst for sniping. already have a deletion incantation with Dragonmaw

Ahhhhh, those poor erdtree greatshield users trying to golden retaliate this only for me to free aim throw it behind them and blow up their backs…

FROM paying respects to the oldest source of "mages OP" posts in RPG history by just taking the Fireball and making it bigger and deadlier with every passing game.
By Dark Demon's SoulsKiroBorneDenRing 5: Prepare to CBT Edition it'll just nuke the state of Texas every time you cast it.

No one knows of the existence of Bigger Flame Sling?

A great spell but thankfully not popular despite its damage potential. It can only be used in pvp by free aiming or casting it point blank. Even then its easy to roll through or strafe. Try to cast this while locked on & it wont even reach its target most of the time. Thus this is a potent pvp spell but only for those with the patience to master the free aim mechanics of souls games.
So basically nobody. We will never get the brainless forbidden sun or chaos vestiges pyro spam days again :(.

5 shotted tree avatar in ephael with golden order seal 40 int 50 faith without any buffs and fire talisman

Needs a slight damage nerf for balance's take, or reduce the aoe. Preferably the damage to retain unaimed and point blank effectiveness

Best spell in the game, fite me.
Best spell of every From game, even.

See the problem with this is not the damage, I’m fine with an insta nuke BUT the aoe that it creates extend far over the animation radius

I ran this erd tree seal monk seal, fire scorpion godfry ritual sword and blessed dew.throw down fire and regen tear put on some flame grant me strength maybe vow and just hurls suns and watch one shots,in pve just add oil pots.

I've just spent a fun and mesmerising half hour in volcano cave casting this and watching the demi humans, even the demi human chief ragdoll all over the place. It's even more entertaining than watching a chain reaction when a group of land squirts or giant land squirts go critical after one of them gets poisoned, that never gets old.

If this ever gets nerfed, half the arena playerbase will leave the game so let's hope it remains.

Fire scorpion charm godfrey icon, flame shroud tear, flame grant me strength, 2 giant seals... im hitting over 4-6k on enemies, if theyre weak to fire and or headshots, 8-11k dmg... its... just... wow.. also, bane of malenia, knocks her down every cast. -rNoxx

It moves like great chaos fire boy .. it's booms radius like chaos bed boy... Perfectly viable the better you free aim the more you hit

lost the count how many people i have sniped/nuked with this thing
put the camera up and predict where the little guy will panicroll and boom
1k damage

I was expecting it to be like the Great Chaos Fire Orb from DS3 but instead I got a handheld artillery.

This sh*t trivialises the first section of Haligtree. Toss one into a group of envoys and laugh as they go flying off the branches

Charging grants a 20% damage increase, not a 10%. Without the Godfrey Icon and on a particular enemy in identical conditions other than the charge state of the attack, it dealt 1,474 uncharged and 1,765 charged, a 19.742% increase.

For a giant fireball, the blast radius is surprisingly small. The cannon of hamma, which is a smaller projectile, tends to hit more enemies within a vicinity than this larger incantation.

You can fire this a lot further unlocked versus locked on to a target. The fire ball will stay active for 4.5 seconds. If you free aim your attack the giant flame can go much further. Locking on with this spell equipped makes it seem like it can only hit at close to medium range but I found with unlocking and aiming much higher than usual you can get about the same range as a cannon of haima shot. This testing was done with the fully charged ball.
- Anonymous
what's wonderful about this is that it has slightly longer damage frames than a midroll, so people will almost always get hit by it. literally a ****ing nuke in my hands.
- Anonymous
this needs a slightly slower windup, the damage it pumps out is unreal
- Anonymous
This is less like a fireball and more like a flaming incendiary cannon in the palm of your hand.

I don't know if it's just me but I used this spell against Radagon and Elden beast and he will for some reason never parry it, the only times he does is when he's parrying some other spell, I tried this with the similar haima cannon but he can parry that one, personally for that reason alone I love this spell

With 70 Faith, Fire Scorpion Charm, Shard of Alexander, Flame Shrouding Tear, Golden Vow and Flame Grant Me Strength with +25 Godslayers Seal with +25 Giants Seal offhand a fully charged cast of this does 2.2k dmg to the Elphael Cleanrot Knights, seems impressive until you realise with the same setup casting Takers Flame on a +10 Blasphemous Blade does over 4k dmg to the same enemies at nearly twice the range and half the cast time, why are incants so underpowered compared to weapon arts in this game?
- Anonymous
Absolutely love how this thing just tosses almost any non-giant enemy around like a ragdoll, such a fun spell, not to mention it deals hefty-ass damage and has fairly good AOE too, eats up fp pretty quickly though so unless you have a ton of points in mind or/and alot of fp flasks, its not exactly something you can just spam on every enemy you come by, flame of the fell god doesn't seem that impressive compared to this sadly.
- Anonymous
I'd imagine this spell is just a more powerful Flame Sling, so i gotta ask: compared to Flame Sling, does this spell actually have any downsides, other than a much higher FP cost and requiring two memory slots?
- Anonymous
Why is this used so much? I honestly think it's way easier to dodge compared to the one that shoots multiple fireballs. That one scares me more.
- Anonymous
seeing this spell makes me wonder how beautiful a chaos bed vestige / forbidden sun would look using elden rings sexy visual effects.

Anyone know the damage multiplier for normal cast versus fully charged cast, excluding the Godfrey icon?
Remember those god awful crystallid gangs in Haligtree and Sellia Hideaway? This spell ragdolls them out of existence.

Huge splash , splash go trought cover, high damage, guarranted knockback, can be wombo combo with pest thread to catch people that are panic rolling, good mixup, good against afk roof farmer, pretty useful spell overall, would recommand it in invasion.
- Anonymous
Fully charged and with proper damage increasing equipment it can one shot pretty much every player regardless of hp bar. The explosion is so massive that it requires a near perfect dodge to avoid successfully.

60 FTH, dual giant seal, godfrey icon, fire scorpion charm, flame shrounding tear, flame grant me strength... This spell becomes so powerful that I end up ACCIDENTALLY one-shotting people that I wasn't even aiming for with its huge blast radius.
