deserter cookbook series no longer exist in the game anymore. cooking and arrows are divided in to nomadic warrior's cookbook now.

Whoever wrote the article is incorrect, you do not get Staunching Boluses from Kale. He does not sell this cookbook.

For some reason, I already had staunching boluses and the bone arrows craftable, even though I have none of the deserter's cookbooks. I found deserter's cookbook [3] at a merchant near Saintsbridge grace

This isn't sold by Kalé in Church of Elleh in the current release of the game. Does someone know where to find it?

Kale does not have it for sale for some reason. I do have the ability to craft bone arrows and fletched bone arrows but not Staunching Boluses. It's also not showing in my inventory like the others. Thought I may have already bought and dropped but I don't remember buying.
This item was changed to Nomadic Warrior’s Cookbook [3]. You can buy it for 500 runes at the merchant across the bridge from the Saintsbridge grace in North Limgrave.
