Cookbooks in Elden Ring are Key Items with records of crafting techniques which automatically expand the player's crafting repertoire, often with recipes for Ammunition and Consumables. This page covers their names, items they unlock for crafting, and Locations. Crafting requires a Crafting Kit (purchased from Merchant Kalé at Church of Elleh) and can only be done outside of combat.
Cookbooks are kept when going into New Game+. They are also unique, meaning that they cannot be found in subsequent Journeys.
In total, there are 104 Cookbooks that can be found in Elden Ring. 45 are in Shadow of the Erdtree, and 59 are in the base game.

hi, I'm not an editor, so I can't fix those things, but I noticed several spelling mistakes on this page in particular. for example, in the "location" part of the description of "Finger-Weaver's Cookbook [2], ruins od Miyr are misspelled as ruins of Meyir. I think those mistakes should be addressed. That said, love your job here guys, keep up the good work and thank you for putting all the effort you do into making this knowledge so accessible!

If God was still alive, we would be able to either buy the crafting materials/resources or the crafted items themselves from someone, I miss buying ten billion weapon buffs in Dark Souls III, farming most of the stuff is so unrewarding (;_;)
*Sort by name*
Not actually in order. ☹️
Like how do you actually mess that up!?

This is the most randomly organized list of anything I've ever seen.

So many cookbooks, no recipe for cookies. No wonder The Lands Between are so gloomy. Sadge

The information for foragers brood cookbook 7 is incorrect. You get it from Moore after healing one of the brood and getting their cookbook. I have 7 without getting all of the others.

so these carry over to ng+ now? I went to ng+ and still have my recipes

Everyone complaining about the order on the page, click the Name tab and sort it by name you miscreants lol yall never used a spreadsheet and it shows x.x

For anyone who missed out on moore's quest and the forager coockbooks: they're completely useless. Not only the new defensive items offer lower defences than those in the base game, but all of them require scorpion livers (included the enhanced turtle meat for stamina regen). Those ****ing things are as rare as slabs in dk1, or covenants' items in dk3. You're not gonna craft them anyway.

Forager Brook Cookbook [6] can be found a little NW of Church District Highroad grace (looking at it from the map). Follow the path towards the arch entryway that's built into the stone cliff. Instead of going through the archway, take a right and jump up on the stone platforms going above the archway. Run towards the outer wall of the Shadow Keep. It'll be on the right side, on the edge of the cliff.
You'll know you're in the right spot if you see a cool wall decal carved into the walls of the Keep. The design is a large oval with a spear through the middle. Fire decal on the left, and a thorny looking circle on the right. If you're facing it, turn away and walk around carefully to find a bug man stuck under the dirt. He looks like a Lesser Kindred of Rot. His little arms should be waving everywhere.
Talk to him, and you should receive the cookbook and one crafting item.
I tried crafting it for him, but when you return, he's above the ground but won't talk to you. Unsure what to do now, but thought I'd share the info

Grave Keeper's Cookbook [1] is in Cerulean Coast. East of the "Cerulean Coast West" grace by a tree. (Tree visable on the map) There is also a Cementary Shade next to it

These would be so useful if all crafting items were available to buy by at least beating elden beast. As the crafting system is now it's unusabley tedious accept to dupes and save scummers sad because the crafting system does have alot potential but it's wasted on it's poor design decisions

For the Nomadic 10, there is a slight direction error. It says follow the right ledge even though you have to follow the left one

I can just picture if you collect them all your tarnished just has this giant book made be combining these and I think that would be cool even if it's not in the game.

It'd be nice to have a refence to these in the message system, we have "stone astrolabe" and "Birdseye Telescope" but not something as simple as "cookbook" when those are far more plentiful as a collector's item and as the only way to unlock new crafting recipes, some of which are quite useful, some others not so much. For example, the Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook (9) requires a Stonesword Key to gain access to it, and the only thing it teaches you is how to make is Rancor Pots, which are niche throwing pots to begin with and may or may not be worth getting if you're super early in the game and don't have that many Stonesword Keys, so it'd be nice to be able to leave a message like "cookbook ahead, but be wary of key"

Having the bullet points in the middle column be on the last line for multi-line items makes it difficult to read on mobile. I look forward to crafting a "Grease Drawstring Soporific", "Grease Sleepbone", and of course the "Arrow Sleepbone Arrow".

Armourer Cookbook [4] should be the Western Gatehouse. The Northwestern Gatehouse leads to the walltops which is an entirely different violent adventure.

If you follow them by the numbers, you can actually kinda see a progress route
They need to add the Recipe for Perfumers Bolts, and St Trina's Arrows, and the Fletched Rainbow Stone arrows.
Feels like they were on a roll with Crafting and then dropped the ball on release. Hopefully we'll get DLC, I'll pay money for more Cookbooks and 6 Talisman pouches.

Nomadic Warrior Cookbook is inside the first room on the right after you receive the Drawing Room Key from Tanith. You will see a corpse, and behind that is an Illusory Wall, following it down a hallway, not the staircase will lead you to the book eventually as well as a Summon: Perfummer Carmaan.
You can ALSO get here by using the Virgin thing at the bottom of Luca Raya Academy, but using THIS way, makes sure the folks at the location don't get angry with you. You can also find a Bloodhound Knight that drops his Claws at this location - and I do believe is what Tanith kid references once you get far enough into the Volcano Manor Quest BEFORE killing the boss of this location.
The recipe that it gives you is for the Alluring Pot: which requires - 1 Albinauric Bloodclot, 5 Human Shards, and 1 Ritual Pot at minimum.
I found Frenzieds Cookbook 2 if anyone wants to put that in. Im on my phone and dont know how to add another row to the table
