“ It is speculated that each piece of armor has different defense and resistance values while equipping a piece along with its proper set provides the player with certain bonuses that can aid in different combat situations.”
What does this mean, can someone elaborate?

I’m glad I went through the list before doing play through 2. I didn’t know the Night Cavalry set was obtainable, looks so much better than most of the other sets

There're weapons and shield with snake designs, they should add a helmet like a snake head. Maybe in the DLC.

I'd really love some more alteration options, especially mixing light and heavy helms and cloaks between sets in the DLC. The antlers would look awesome on a heavier helmet for instance

All of these tables should include whether each item is part of a set or not, that way we can distinguish unique/standalone helmets (and gloves/chest/legs if they exist) without having to look at the page for every item
awww yeeeaaah, completed my armor collection before the dlc drops, hope there's some good armor with black as its primary color, i love maliketh's set but i had the little piece on the back and the way most special hoods and hairs tuck into the collar
- Anonymous
I hope From adds bandanas in DLC. Can’t complete a Whitebeard cosplay build without one.
can you change it to not be sorted by alphabet but more like in the game resitenc, weight object type etc.
- Anonymous
more brimmed fancy hats needed. like Black Hand hat, Silver Mask, and Lucatiel Mask, all from DS3.
- Anonymous
dlc better add respectable hat or i riot. i don't wanna look like pussy nboots

Sadly this game officially breaks my tradition of cosplaying Mordekaiser from League of Legends, as there is no suitable helmet for his appearance. In Dark Souls 1 and 3 we had the Black Knight Helm which was great for it, and in DS2 there is the Aurous helm which was even cooler. The lack of helm saddens me, because building Mordekaiser wasnt only for fun, the build itself was also pretty viable, but without proper appearance, there is no point if going for that build anymore :(

I want more pointy witch hats.. I miss Zullie and Karla sets..

Why are so many of these helmets physically smaller than the head size of the character model
- Anonymous
Apparently the weights on many of these are off compared to the sorting by weight in Elden Ring

Why wouldn't you have a way to organize via item type like in-game? Would make collecting everything a lot easier...
- Anonymous
one thing would have made the altered knights (godrick, cuckoo, redmane, gelmir, mausoleum and haligtree) better looking would have been, in my opinion, instead, or on top of removing the cape, remove the crest bit, and maybe the tunic/cloth over the chest plate

This page says the Imp Head (Cat) helm is "found on a corpse inside the Impaler's Catacombs." But on page for that helm, it says it's a rare drop from the Imps.

Wis that helms and masks were separate, i want to equip the aristocrat feather hat thing and the bandit face covering.

I hate that this list can't be made in gallery order (the order you see in the game); it has you scrolling up and down the list to try to find it because they left this in alphabetical order...

I wish we could wear one of the ancient dragon stone heads found on the floor in the dragon communion cathedrals :(

It's wild that the colour of the red and navy hood only match with the red and blues found on about two other armour sets each.
Aside from certain metals being difficult to match with each other, its also jarring to try to match some striking, bolder, clean looking stuff so many lower contrast, duller colours. They could have narrowed the difference a smidge to make it easier. There's about twenty different shades of red and blue in circulation when they only really needed to tick off a solid match for the magic schools (blood fire ice azure cobalt purple gold along with the usual actual blacks and actual whites to scratch peoples itch.

I hate that so many cool helms have some stupid unremovable hair with it. Was Malenia and Godfrey wearing a wig? And they even made gear alteration but decided that its better to remove every cape and never touch a stupid hair and moustaches.

why is it so hard to make combinations in this game?
colors always look different with most armor and stuff
i just wanted to be fashion

My question is redundant I've found but if anyone else wants to hide their helm the menu for it is the 'Status' menu. Press triangle or whatever to swap screen and the option to hide your helm is there.
- Anonymous
Does anyone know how to hide the helm you are wearing? It is possible I've done it, but I can't remember which menu has the option to hide it. Radahn's helm is distracting and there are a couple of others with good stats but any weapon large enough that it rests on your shoulder like a greatsword or colossal will clip through them and that is distracting as well, it breaks the immersion.

Is Strengthens magic and cold weapon skills by 2% on spellblades pointed hat true?

I want an ant helmet for my insect based battlemage. Now Im torn between going with turning the character jet black and giving him cordyceps with the mushroom set or go with the octopus head, its not an insect, but in tune with the eldritch gravitational magic ill solely be using. Then 2 wing of astel, 2 jaws, 2 bastard stars, 2 scorpion stingers (IK , not an insect) and an ant shield.
- Anonymous
They should have made the giraffe-neck knight helms look like a Faraam helm instead. Change my mind

I'm truly disappointed with how little helms there are that look like Iudex gundyr, aside from rulers (too white and cloth adorned) and all knowing (ear beard doesn't fit) we have near nothing.

Kind of sad that nearly every single helmet covers your face and hair. Not much point in having such an impressive character creator if everyone ends up wearing a full face covering mask.

Has anyone actually managed to get one of the land octopus to drop the octopus head helm? I couldn't even start to guess how many of these things I've killed to make killing the big one easier, and I've never seen that helm drop from any of them.

There is a mask that seems a bug (mosquito) can’t explain well that, Idk if it is deleted content or not found, I’ve just seen it on YouTube in one video

I seriously need a mask-like helmet in this game, similar to the manequins mask from DS2 but without the hood, just a full on porcelain mask item without hiding your hair.

Why nothing increases INT and FTH? It's hard enough to allocate points between that and vig and stay at 80 man ridiculous

Is there a list of armor that matches the in game order? Trying to compare with what I have, to find out what I’m missing.

For the love of Marika guys just click on the weight at the top of the list and it will order it by weight then compare it to your own inv listed by weight. I can't believe that people that are interested in putting in the work to collect every piece can't do this simple obvious thing and would rather go straight to tantrum mode. You guys wanna just cry til Miyazaki just invades and drops you every piece of gear seems like your move lmao

I want great horned headband but with the glowing horns. Not thr shining antlers. There are a few select enemies with horns that glow in Nokron.

Kinda mad you cant get the little horned helm some skeletons wear

Hoping for the golem armor set in the dlc, I just love how they look so much and it would go do good with the golem halberd

Really wanted to full cosplay a watchdog, we only got the greatsword

Wish there was a crab head you could get like with the octopus head.

Please order them like in game. This goes for other pages as well. Sorting here and in-game on weight makes things easier, but it is still not the best. Also I don't see a reason to put cut content in these lists?
So I don't think this is all the helmz. Correct me if I'm wrong?

Why, oh why are these equipment tables not ordered like they are in-game? It makes comparing my collection to the wiki's a nightmare.

There are 164 helms listed in this page, including the 11 altered version, 2 of them only farmeable in their respectives places. 9 left can be modified by Boc or in a site of grace.

They know how much people like to see their characters face and have five instalments worth of feedback to go off, yet we get one weak, understated circlet, one slightly better ugly gold circlet that clashes with two thirds of the armours, and no hide helm option. Absolutely amazing game but the niggles are real.

Need more crowns pls
From, I’d like to look like an Elden Lord - Godfrey’s should at least be later able to remove his hair

I wonder how much of these helmets ubisoft would sell as separated pieces?

Please don't list altered versions of an armor as a separate item. Just list that the piece can be altered and add a partner image with the original. Another inconvenience on this list.

What I am complaining about is that these lists aren't ordered very well. They seem to be somewhat in alphabetical order, but in places it isn't and it is throwing me off. At least have everything in alphabetical order, or put them in the order that would appear in your inventory in the weight/class categories it gives in the game. Also, you list all the sets but there isn't a section for all the non-set pieces which is frustrating. I know you can find it in the specific piece tabs, but that isn't very helpful. Trying to make a checklist on a google spreadsheet for all the armors for people to use, and using this as a reference is making it a nightmare to create.

Why, in character creation are you forced to make a face / hair? 95% of these replace your head with something ranging from ugly to ridiculous.

I wish there was a helm similar to the silver mask from DS3

Imp(fanged) helm vitality resistance is 20, just like for the other Imp helps. Not 35 as mentioned here.

It would be great if all the armor pieces could be ordered the same as they should appear in your inventory. This alphabetical list is very difficult to use since you cannot sort your inventory alphabetically.

No Plague Doctor mask or helm? I want to cosplay Khonshu, what would be the closest resemblance?

Does that sorcerer snake with the huge swollen head (right before Rykards waygate) drop their head as a hat?
- Anonymous
i know this is will sound like a hassle but could this be reordered from alphabetical order to how they appear in the game. ill understand if not but trying to use it like a check list makes it difficult as every piece of armour I find I then have to compare it to my entire list of armour pieces to find out if I have it or not. by the time this could be changed I probably would have already done the armour the long way but for other users it could be a helpful idea.

Damn, well, I guess if the Allone Knight Captain Helm was good enough for my Dark Souls 2 Batman cosplay, something the Crucible Knight helm will have to do here.

What's happened to some of the items on this list? I created a checklist for myself but since then things have disappeared like the ''Black Dumpling'' and the ''Black Hood''. They exist on the wiki, and were on this list before...
Hi, I made the special effects column for each armour section and then abandoned it like an idiot until now. I've filled in as much as I'm aware of. Reply to this and pester me if you think I've missed something or made a mistake.

Olivinus Glintstone Crown actually gives you 3 intelligence.

Where is my Symbol of Avarice From? I want my giant tongue physics!
If you are looking to check these off you can sort by weight (wgt) in the right most column as you can also sort the same way in the in game inventory screen (left stick click) and should put them both in the same order to compare.
